Just wanted to share with others my picks of accessories for my Samsung Galaxy NOTE. I'll keep the words short and let the pictures do the talking.
First a must for me is screen protectors, I don't care if the NOTE has a scratch proof screen I still need a screen film to protect it. My first choice is always SGP, I started using SGP screen films back when I had my iPhone 3G, always love their precise cut and fit. I like the SGP Ultra Optics and Oleophobic so I buy them here at eBay LINK. I'm using the Oleophobic currently and I love the clarity of this screen film although the anti oil coating is starting to wear off so I will likely put back the Ultra Optics on.

Then I need a case, I have always, always used a TPU case with a lip for lay on the table for full protection then I realize why should I protect it fully when I sell it for the next best phone? This time I went for a ultra thin case that does not add bulk to fully enjoy the phone like it has no case. This ultra thin case is about .2mm thin and covers the back and bezel from scratches ONLY, no drop protection. Comes in variety of colors and I chose CLEAR, GRAY, and SMOKE. You can get it here eBay LINK
Then I went mad and purchase a lot accessories for the NOTE like OTG and HDMI cable, leather pouch, OEM Samsung battery and battery charger stand and Samsung 32GB Class 10 Micro SD Card. I purchase everything on eBay from different sellers, eBay OTG Cable, eBay Samsung 32GB C10 SDHC, eBay OEM battery & charger
That's about it, just wanted to say I love the NOTE!
Care to share what screen films, cases and accessories you like?
What do you mean the "anti oil coating is wearing off"?
How did you know?
How long did you use it for?
Wouldn't that make it a very expensive screen protector if it wears off within a few weeks?
^ I know its wearing off because there is more finger prints?
Actually used the Oleophobic for a month with heavy use.
Thanks for posting. I agree with everything you said and have the exact same accessories! Love the Note more than any phone I've ever owned
I put screen protector, then I put super thin case then I purchase hdmi cable and extra battery charger.
Then NOTE2 come out....and Im failed lol
Joke ;-) Nice review man. +5

Received this one
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Ultra-Thin-0...496890?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a713672ba
Fits great. The only complain is edge not high enough(10% more should be ok) and has 3 small dirty inside the material.
Then I think I need to protect the front, so I ordered this:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/220919418489?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
It's a famous brand in Korea.

So you are saying the phone + ultra thin case, will fit into this official desk dock?
Couldn't agree more about *thin* cases being important. I got an el-cheapo TPU case to start with (basically the only type I could fins on ebay at the time - I got NOte last year) and I definitely notice the extra bulk it gives the device.
Part of the "wow" factor is how thin this phone is - why ruin it's looks
Thanks for your write up!
^ Should fit in the Samsung dock.
Just got a few accessories for the NOTE, will update the first post..

Because if you drop it it will shatter? Id rather not the risk.. also is the dock ... literally just a dock? No inputs etc?

Time for a old thread bump. Can't believe I still have the note as I usually buy the latest gadgets but the note is still good for my use.
Still using the SPIGEN Ultra Optics front screen protector and got a NEW case, Rearth Ringke SLIM Matte. :good: Very slim, nice texture matte finish, top and bottom case have a lip for lay on the table.

I want a simlar thing, I think I'm going to just wait for the OEM rugged battery door; looks sweet and will still work with the docks!

I picked up the bodyglove that ATT sells, love it so far feels good in the hand and deosn't add bulk to the phone. Bought the otterbox but that thing is huge don't like at all sucks to cause the store I got it from doesn't do returns so currently selling it on ebay.

I got this one as well. Had it for my Captivate too. Works great and doesn't stick to your pocket lining.
I think the Incipio Feather case should be very thin. Available from them directly or I'm hearing in Radio Shack too.
We have that same case on the wife's iP4 and it adds almost no bulk to the phone. It probably doesn't provide much shock resistance like the Otterbox cases, but prevents scratches and makes it easier to grip.
I purchased a smoke TPU case off of EBay; should be here today or tomorrow. I've used a TPU case on my EVO since about 2 weeks after I had it and I love the feel and the slimness of the case, and the fact that it provides a bumper of sorts to keep the screen from lying on surfaces (unlike the Incipio case).
The one I purchased is item 290530353216 (chose that one due to the seller's location being near to me, only reason really).
If you have prime with Amazon, the case 2 posts above is only $2 with 2 day shipping
http://www.amazon.com/EMPIRE-Black-...LKO4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1298653527&sr=8-2
Can you still dock the phone with the body glove?
The body glove case works with the car dock perfectly. It's a great case. Not to rubbery and not to slippery, just right.
any TPU case is the way to go. rubbery and protective, but not too rubbery to stick in your pocket and not come out.

are they easy to take off and put on? is the material bendable?
I purchased the Speck case at the Att store. Very good protection nice looks without the added bulk of an otterbox case.

Cross posting this from the Incipio thread:
Just scored the Incipio Feather case (in black) - we're already using one on our iPhone 4, and I really like it. I wanted something to cover the back/side, provide better grip, and maybe offer a touch of drop resistance, but that's secondary.
The material is super thin, like 0.5mm or thinner, it basically adds no bulk to the phone. It does come with a screen protector, but I doubt I'll use it, I'm pretty gentle with my phones and they're usually just in my pocket (and I keep my rusty nails and broken glass in a +different+ pocket). Plus the design isn't edge-to-edut
The fit is tight, really clean, the ports/buttons are easily accessible. It uses that popular "soft touch" type material, which has an almost felt like surface. We have a Speck case that's like this. The nice thing vs. silicone is it's grippy, but it doesn't attract dust ~n~ gunk and wipes clean. It also isn't so sticky that it's hard to get out of a pocket!

The Body Glove does not work with these docks. It will fit (extremely tight), but the thickness of the sides of the case near the HDMI and microUSB ports keeps the phone from sitting all the way down on the dock. The end result is that it doesn't trigger or power the device.
I ended up returning my dock because of this.
+1 for the Incipio feather. Its the right mix of style and protection in the this case range. I dropped my phone about two feet this morning, and the feather was more than adequate to protect it.

Off topic: Which lock screen app are you using? Also, what's the app at the bottom of the screen? Thanks.
Recently got this case as an alternative to the Otterbox case that I have. At times, I found that the otterbox was too bulky to have in my pocket and I wanted a case that preserved the slimness of the handset. After picking up a generic TPU case from ebay, I wasn't satisfied with the cutouts; specifically the two microphone cutouts. it muffled it so people weren't able to hear me talk.
Enter the Ringke case. It was obviously more expensive than a $5 from ebay at 16.99, but the notion of a non-slip polymer like a TPU case had appealed to me.

After putting it on my phone, I immediately noticed the difference between the two cases. The cutouts on each of the ports was perfectly fitted with space at the bottom of the case for the home button, which is a nice touch
The lanyard port on the side was also included, unlike both the otterbox case that I have and the TPU case.
On the top, the headphone jack port is easily accessible. I was able to plug in my grado sr80i headphones without having any issues like I did with the TPU case. The external mic port is also well placed.
The material used to make the case is not just silicon. There is a special polymer material that allows it to slip in and out of my pocket easily. It also doesn't attract dust like other silicon cases. The only gripe I have with this is that since I got the mango colored one, the dye from my jeans rubs off onto the material.
All in all, I'm happy with the case and would definitely go back to Rearth for any other silicon cases.

that's great! i dont mind paying the sub $20 it came out to if OP's review is accurate!
My turn!
So today I got my RearthUSA Ringke Galaxy S2 case in the mail. Chuck from marketing had initially contacted me a few weeks ago via XDA PM to ask me to try and rate/review the Ringke product for the S2 and he has been very friendly/courteous all throughout this process.
The first thing that came to mind when I saw this case was: WOW. This is definitely a high quality product. The material (a high quality polymer, as they say) feels great on the skin and slides easily in and out of a pocket. The polymer also makes the case extremely flexible making it very easy to put on. It also shines nicely in the light. I got a blue one as, you'll see below in my album.
I love the look of it. I love how it fits so well with the contour of the phone. I love the intricate details in the design such that it moulds well with every nook and cranny in the device's design.
Every single thing that you need access to has an opening: the USB port, the microphone, the camera, the speaker, the headphone jack and three more for things I can't figure out but are definitely part of the phone (except for the one at the top right, couldn't figure that one out at all). And they are done EXCEPTIONALLY well; no rough edges at all.
The volume rockers and power button feel great. They're really tactile unlike some other cases where it feels like you're forcing the case into the button to press it.
The pictures I took are really big and look bad in a forum, so here's a direct link to the ImageShack album I made:
http://imageshack.us/g/52/img0987ab.jpg/
I obviously got this product for free, but it only costs $16.99 with FREE SHIPPING. If I were to suggest a case to anyone, it would be this one. The unfortunate thing for me is that I don't use cases because of my car dock. I find it annoying to have to take the phone out of the case AT LEAST two times a day, every day. It's funny, because this is a free product that I didn't think I would care much about, and I'm honestly upset about the fact that I can't use it. I may try for a few days to see how much of a nuisance it is to be constantly taking it out and putting it back in.
I WISH this case fit with my official S2 car dock.

Has anyone tried both the Ringle and the SGP ultra silke? My SGP ultra silke seems too loose and I would like to get a tighter fitting case.
Cut outs and buttons on the SGP are superb and the Ringke looks equivalent.

Both are a bit loose as both are very thin silicone..cut outs are perfect with both
For a tighter fitting you must try a tpu case...
I thought I would share with you the Maroon coloured version of the Ringke case. I also purchased the Ringz audio cap along the case. Overall I like the case and recommend it. The surfaced etching layer on top of the high polymer really gives the case a nice feel that does not attract dust or fingerprints. I was disappointed to find out that Rearth now do micro USB caps after I have purchased the case. I would of like these as well and the expensive delivery charge to international countries is preventing me from doing this.
The only minor drawbacks of this case is it is not going to fully protect your phone from major drops. The top microphone cut out is not centred and it is slightly loose around the volume and power button. Not sure how long the material is going to last but I hope it will last the entire life of the phone.
After using this case for over a month now. The material is starting to get sticky on the corners. This is a shame but I guess once a silicone case always a silicone case regardless of any coating.
free cases, bah! I pay for all my cases and may review them anyway.
free good for review= good review.
Top right corner is missing because its for korean version. Wrong case or wrong phone?
Ringke should have maybe made a tiny lanyard hole in top of case to connect 'lanyarded' jack plug. Same with USB plug. So plugs can't get lost. Furthermore, the plugs should come with the case as default. Not too much to ask for that price. I mean the price that other people pay for the case. But nice review, pretty nice detailed case. Like the speaker detail. NOT top right corner. Do they make this case with all 4 corners protected?
Flashing your galaxy, press Y to continue..
I'm looking for a really thin and lightweight case for my note. I really prefer to use it without the flipcase, and like the SGP ultra thin that I had for my S2. But the ultra thin is not out yet and just about every case is either too bulky or made of tpu or some other material that I don't like.
So what do u guys think? Is it sufficient to just use a screen protector? I keep my phone in my bag when not in use.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I didn't know about the existance of some of them! I may still go for the Ultra Thin Air now that it is available as I had it for my S2 and coupled with an SGP screen protector, seems good enough.

Well being a glossy plastic I suppose it does. My case for the S2 was white so it wasn't that obvious. Btw, I had dropped that phone at least a couple of times with the casing on, without any issues to the screen or bezel. Though admittedly the height was about three feet or less.

Got one of these a few days ago, the case itself is thin and fits like a glove, that being said it scratches really quickly (it was scratched by the time I put the screen protector on) on the backside, screen protector so far seems solid.

Look at the manner in which it's applied!
Damn that metal back cover looks sexy! Wonder if it would affect performance?

Thats what tripped me out, that they went to the lengths of making skeleton frames for each device and figured out a way to integrate the application of the protector using it. I've never seen that before. How many times have you (any of you) gotten frustrated because you cant seem to get the protector lined up right, or it takes a few tries.......this seems to not only make the installation very quick and easy but also ensures proper alignment the first time. Kudos to these guys! I dont even like dry install protectors but I appreciate their work and hope the product changes my mind about this type of protector and decided to show my appreciation by buying one.

I need an answer to this immediately (even though I suspect I already know the answer.)

I really want a metal back, I know no one really knows if this metal back will fit the US version but it should right?
This is not just a phone - Galaxy Nexus

I am assuming they will be the same since Samsung went far enough to keep the form factors the same. I guess tab arrangement could be different but if the dimensions are the same surely they would keep it interchangeable.
Only got screen protector but waiting for more cases to be released. I still got some time for my phone to arrive.
I'm buying a 64 gb micro sdxc from Sandisk, Bose IE2 in-ears and original Samsung Carholder (when it's released).
I'm waiting on Zenus to release their S3 folio cases. Best looking cases I've seen for the S3 so far.
Just google "Zenus S3" and it's the 6th link down. I can't post pictures yet.
Haven't ordered my phone yet, should be this week...
Already bought..
32Gb Samsung SD class 10
Terrapin screen protector
Cheapo pouch pull tab
Pouch elasticated sides type
A-jays One + headphones
Waiting to order official Samsung Blue Flip cover
Got the chick at the store to install a screen protector. Got that orange-peel-look, but it does the job.
Atm I'm thinking of getting this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Green-Metal...588099?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2571a76e43
Just wondering if it'll affect the signal..
Well I have my s3 and thus so far have got:
External 8400 Mah mah powerpack by powergen from amazon
32gb card
A zagg screen protector in ATM
A uunique brushed aluminium case
A Micro USB to USB adaptor (for my pen drive - which works)
Also had a good touch screen stylus laying about which works great with s memo.
To come -
A pile of full body protectors and screen protectors which cost me pittance and I presume are of better quality than the usual cheap tat that I end up having to buy (I'm almost ocd and have to change the screen protector if I see a patch on the screen )
Anyway the metallic case does effect signal. I would estimate a 10% loss but everything still works great GPS etc and is barely noticeable. You can only tell with gps test and looking at the signal values and not in bars. But each to their own eh?

Hi, i am looking for some premium back cover for my one plus 3t. My budget is around 700-800. Can extend the expense for greater quality.
I have seen some on Amazon.in but can trust without the actual snapshots.. So, if you have brought any please also do attach snaps.
thanks

loved that one highlighted at official oneplus site but way to exp
here are some recommendations,,
#2, #9, #10
http://www.myandroidphone.in/2017/01/oneplus-3t-back-cover-cases.html
I have bought
OnePlus 3 Translucent Gray Case ₹499 from oneplus store, really Good one, doesn't bulk up handset.
Also bought
Case U® Smoke Black Transparent TPU case
Both are good. Feel nice, Don't look cheap.
Between both I like official Oneplus back cover more.
Edit:
Both work fine with case u tempered glass screen protector if applied properly.
Spigen's Rugged Armor case won't protect anything, it's a visual only improvement, there isn't even any padding on the corners.
Otterbox is the best protection you can get but it is a lot bulkier in your pocket.
Look on YouTube for drop tests with otterbox cases, there are people dropping them from the third floor of buildings with only light scratches.
IF u want transparent, nothing better than this exsits quality and looks wise

I am using the Original Glass screen protector along with the Original case as shown in the video here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ks4Zn9Pe-ls
Let me know how you like it!
try the spigen armor with carbon fiber it's matte back and has a pretty sleek design found one on ebay for 15$ but the one downside to the case is that it has these bumps under the hardware button covers which constantly puts slight pressure on the power button which caused a problem on older samsung devices with turning off on its own later down the road. to fix this problem I just took a file and pliers and removed the bumps that were under the hardware button covers. this can be done on all cases to prevent any chance of the phone have a problem with turning off on its own later
I am using this one:
http://www.amazon.in/TUDIA-Bumper-Absorption-OnePlus-TD-TPU3732/dp/B01LDIG9DY
Its for Rs.799/-
Pretty good and an edge over Spigen is that Tudia has big cut-outs for charging, speaker and headphone. So no issues to plug anything in these

Hi, that OP translucent gray soft case looks good. Does it provide any protection? Or just for the grip and looks?

Yes, I'm still using the same case. Accidentally dropped phone 2 times (2-3 feet high drop) and its safe.
BTW Tampered glass came off after a few days and I don't feel need of it anymore, just back cover is enough.
Do not waste money on glass, if you still feel that screen guard is needed go for screen protectors, not for tampered glass.

Thanks! I'll get just that one. I anyway have some oneplus store credits
I'll keep the company provided, pre-applied screen protector ON till it lasts. Then I'll keep the screen bare. Just the back cover will be good.
This is my first OP device and will be my first purchase through the OP India store.
Try the cruzerlite bugdroid covers they are good
