I like to use 5x5 in portrait, but this chops the icons off in landscape mode. Is there a launcher that doesn't do this or perhaps allows a different view or even homescreen in landscape?

I like the sense widgets, but since trying other launchers I've come accustomed to having no ugly texts under icons.
Also, I always make the icons a bit smaller. I just think it looks sleeker...

For homescreens and dockbar you can use Desktop Visualizer. Doesn't work in App Drawer though. For changing icons in the dockbar you need to open the app itself instead of using widgets and don't forget to tic "Encode" or the icons will revert back to standard.
Is the tw home screen not suppose to rotate to landscape? Is there any kind of mod for this?

I have a few questions to ask to improve my homescreen (the black minimalist screenshot).

1. Which 5-day weather forecast widget is shown in the other attached screenshot? Or a similar app. One that can show vertically would be great, too.
2. What app can display message/call/email notifications as a widget? Preferably one that hides until a message/call/email is received: i.e. doesn't show "0 new messages".
3. Is it possible to have two distinct layouts for the homescreen, one for portrait and one for landscape? Rather than deal with bunched icons or icons hidden offscreen, I currently have Apex lock the homescreen to portrait, even with keyboard slide. I'm okay with this as apps aren't affected but the app drawer is and I often slide the keyboard to unlock my PIN password on the lockscreen.
4. Can I style the PIN password lockscreen in CM9? Every cool lockscreen I've seen never has the PIN pad out.
Im using the tw mod for 5x5 and ultimate rotate control app. When home screen rotates I lose the bottom row of icons on the home screen.
Also another thing that bothers me is the wallpaper is centered on the screen.
The rotate on lock screen to open camera wont work either with the lock screen set for rotation.

I've figured out that if I use Nova Launcher and have scrolling wallpaper, it needs to be 1280x1280.
But to use Multi Picture Live Wallpaper and have a different background on each homescreen, what size image is needed so that it isn't squashed, stretched or otherwise distorted?
