So whats everyones opinion for sense 4.0 on epic 4g touch want some opinions
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
It would be neat, but the community was already fooled by someone who promised this once already and I would imagine no one will donate for this to happen until after it actually happens.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Lol i said nothing about donating lol thats not my style iv already ported to nexus shouldnt be too hard
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
If you can do it that would be great. I only mentioned the donations because a certain someone asked the community to help buy him an E4GT to bring us sense and it never happened.

The other person said the same thing. You must've ported your build for yourself since you only have a few posts as well as a junior member. Why not share with the rest of the community.I'm not trying to be negative only pointing out the obvious.Good luck with your project.
Well on nexus i just got it to boot....
Then switched to other device so i didnt maintain it

Reading your post about porting it,it sounded as if you had a fully functioning build.Good luck with it,it'll be nice to have more development for this phone...what nexus device was it for, gnex or nexus s?
Ns and it wasnt fully functional it had 4g and bluetooth borked
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
well hey I say go for it
I like variety

The fact you just joined the site looks fishy (No offense, I'm just a paranoid person). At least you aren't asking for donations. If you can do it, do it. if you can't, oh well. I will say this though, you have better luck trying to port sense 2.1, 3.x... It has been confirmed that sense 4.x does not play well with samsung devices and many other devices as it is in this current state.
My personal opinion is; It'd be nice to have more options on this device because the reality is, this device is fast, fluid, and has a lot of possibilities! I feel as if I should have gotten a nexus device sometimes but sprint always fails to get the latest nexus devices by months...

Cant you just continue the work alrready started with the port? The "person who shall not be named" got it to boot but a lot of things were borked. Couldnt u just use the kernel from the zip?

I have torolplus.
Do you even have a Linux partition. Do you even know what Linux is? Do you know how to decompile a boot.img? Do you know what a boot.img is? You're way over your head here bud. Suck it up and stop asking or buy a GS3 like you should have from the beginning.

This phone runs android and Linux, that is all... possibly open webos should some dev ever feel sufficiently inclined to port it. If you want a windows phone buy a windows phone...
Also can someone link me to the iOS 6 port for this phone! Not seeing it in search and my common sense seems to be malfunctioning
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
If such a ROM ever did come into existence it wouldn't be a true windows rom but rather one based on a windows theme, which quite frankly can already be done on our phones based on themed launchers and particular apps which give it that Windows "feel".
Install EL29, Install Blazer's 4.1 ROM, Download Launcher 7, Run it. There you go
You will probably need FOTAkill.apk or Something to kill ota updates, I did.
I say EL29 because when I ran Launch 7 on ICS, it just didn't work right. And Blazer's kills off the Bloatware, Caulkin's does the same too. You can just run Launcher 7 if you feel so inclined without any of the hoopla.
isnt there a windows 8 launcher now? lol

Depends, if you're doing it from the phone (taking apk from system apps), yes. Not sure about a downloaded apk from the store. Otherwise, do it over a computer, copy it onto your phone, and install.

ooooooh...my goodness...he even acts like an iSheep...
if you're too lazy to even copy over a file onto your SD Card and install it, then don't even think about installing any custom ROMs.
like i already stated in your other thread, try iLauncher, it makes your homescreen look like an iPhone.
you should just do everyone plus yourself a huge favor and go buy an iPhone...we don't need your useless questions here cluttering up the forums.
If you can't find MIUI, you're doing it wrong.

As for an miui ROM. Of course we have one.
Samsung hired their team as well as cyanogen's.

I'd flash the latest cyanogen nightly, however.

I wouldnt care to much for Ubuntu on my GNII unless it was easily (ie: switch SD cards is all it would require to dualboot into ubuntu) applicable and then when I want to go back to regular I just put back in my original SD... until then this just isnt going to be the device for that OS

Im sure it can be ported. I saw the video that was on the ubuntu website that says it runs with all the same drivers android uses. So I am preety confident that our devs here on xda can build a ubuntu rom with no hassle at all. I personally would love to see a change on my galaxy note 2. I would love to see ubuntu (my favorite os) running on it.
it wont be just flashing a rom through recovery
youll need to use some program to flash ubuntu on the nexus phones

considering the Exynos seems to be notorious as being one of the more difficult SOC's to developer for I doubt we'll see a well running version of Ubuntu right away. I would like to see it though, and look forward to flashing it on my Nexus.
