So I've stumbled across a 'feature' in CM9 that I do not care for at all and hope that someone can help me out.
I use an app called 'Setting Profiles' to silence my phone during busy events on my Google Calendar. I've found that if I'm listening to music with headphones on my phone the app silences my phone like it's supposed to, but if I then unplug the headphones, the ringer volume returns to it's previous value. Plug the headphones back in and the phone silences itself again.
It appears as if CM9 has a volume profile for headphones plugged in and a separate profile for headphones unplugged. Is there a setting where I can disable this? Anything I can to to avoid inadvertently unsilencing my phone by unplugging my headphones?
I'm running CM9 nightly from 8-06-12.
When I have the headphones plugged in, the ringer and notifications still play over the phone speaker in addition to coming over the headphones. I dont want them to. I just want them played through the headphones. I cant find a setting to disable it. Anyone know of a fix.
I notice the Note 2 detects when I plug in my headphones to listen to music. Is it possible to create some sort of profile that when I plug in my headset it will automatically adjust my volume levels for media, ringtones, notifications & system?
Thanks,
Just got the Note II and am trying to get the phone to ring through a bluetooth media speaker. When I am selecting different ring tones they will play through the bluetooth speaker as well as through the phone, but when the phone actually rings it will only ring on the phone itself. I have searched through various forums and can't find anyone asking the same question. I've also tried looking for an app that will route the audio to the speaker, but no solution yet. Has anyone any ideas please?
Search for Soundabout in the app store. I use it and can route my Bluetooth sound, media and phone, to wherever I want it
sent from somewhere
Thanks for that, I'm trying it but at the moment I can get everything to play through the bt speak, apart from when the phone rings.
Make sure, in the Bluetooth settings for your speakers, that media and phone are connected. I have the phone ringing through my Bluetooth audio
sent from somewhere
My bluetooth speaker settings only have the option to use it for media audio, and not for phone audio. With my bt headset I have the option for both phone and media audio. I'm assuming that the phone ring is coming through as phone audio. The annoying thing is that every other sound will come through on the speaker, key presses etc, and the ring tones when I am setting the volumes, but not when the phone actually rings or when messages come in.
With SoundAbout there is no option for the phone call audio to be sent to an A2DP bt device, so I think I'm stuck there as well.
Hello,
I do not use the phone feature very often, but recently I had to take some calls while driving and could hardly understand what the other person is saying, because the speaker phone volume is really low.
Now, of course I set the volume to max and checked every setting I could find related to phone calls. I even went into the service menu and did the speaker tests. There I realized that the speaker phone is using a different speaker as the one that is used to play back music or other sounds. The same sound sample is used in the tests and it is much softer in the speaker phone test compared to the mono or stereo speaker tests.
Is there any hack, setting or configuration file change I can do to use the mono or stereo speaker for the speaker phone feature?
Please help, this is the only gripe with this fine phone I have.
Same problem here.
Solutions, anyone?
