[Q] Issue with picture gallery after Juggernaut 4.1 install - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hi everyone,
I love this phone and the ROM. I'm unable to post this question in the Juggernaut thread because I'm new to the site.
But I followed the instructions to the T and everything is working GREAT. One problem though.
When I go into the picture gallery. it's like an art show. There are weird colors and stuff on the background and none of my pics show up once I click on their folders.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any fixes? Or any recommendations?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Wow, that is odd. Try going into settings, applicatons and wiping data. Or you could download quick pic from the market( its a much better pic app then stock gallery and its free) and see if your pictures show up there.

Honestly, I dont know how, or if, you can get it without rooting. My advice would be to root. I can understand being apprehensive if you've never done it before, but what you gain is entirely worth it. Especially wireless tether. Follow any guide, most are basic, and you should be good to go. You can get the 3D gallery two ways. 1) push it to your phone via ADB. If you google "3D gallery" the APK is easy to find. Or 2) Flash the latest Fresh Rom, go into Rom Manager and download the "Vanilla Lock+Vanilla Apps-World Clock". This will give you the Vanilla Android music app, clock, and 3d Gallery.
Is there a way to exclude certain pictures from the gallery? All of my album art shows up and clutters it
If he updated to official froyo, he wouldn't be able to root right now, right?
The gallery usually shows up with options to look at just camera shots or certain folders, it doesn't do that for you?

[Q] slideshow picture widget

First off, if this is in the wrong section, sorry I looked in the other sections and seemed best off here.
I am in need of App advice. I have my phone running UD 2.5.0 and the only thing im missing on my screens is a nice picture widget that rotates pictures based on a schedule I set.
It has to be able to read internal memory and the sd card.
I have tried Turtle Photoframe, but it is terrible at how its cropping my pictures, so its out. I tried out a few others from the market, but they would not see the internal memory.
Anyone have any advice on a better app? Thanks, and Happy Holidays!

Update
Well someone pm'ed me and mentioned Photo Gallery Widget from the market.
I tried it, and it works decent, but unfortunately does not see internel memory. Bummer.
So, my quest is still going.

New gallery app sucks

The new gallery in Android 2.3.4 / Cyanogenmod 7 nightly really sucks. I would like to go back to the gallery that came stock with my phone. Is there a way to do this?
As far as I know you can't get the stock sense gallery unless you go back to the stock rom. Try QuickPic from the market.

Excellent advise, quickpic is great, exactly what I wanted.
Just fyi for anyone else that stumbles on this, if use Titanium backup to remove file manager and the stock gallery you won't get a popup asking what app you want to use every time you try to send a pic in text message, it'll open quickpic by default.

[SOLVED] Corrupt Image bug?

I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this, but some of my images I guess become corrupted I think. I'm not sure how to explain it, just look at the screenshots. When i go to the picture, it's fine, but a split second later a bunch of gray lines cover up the whole picture. I don't know what could be wrong?
One picture shows it as the lines start and the other shows when it's fully covered.
Yea it sucks just delete them. Not sure why these phones do this.

Don't delete them. They're fine. Did you try viewing them in a different gallery, say Quickpic?
This happens with progressive jpeg's due to a gallery tweak for "HQ" images.
B39 of AOKP removed this tweak.
I'm not sure if CM9 has, I'd assume not.
In any case:
QuickPic is a great alternative that will allow viewing AND setting as wallpaper despite the native gallery errors.
Extremely helpful, thanks guys. It was starting to bug the hell out of me.

LGOG Gallery???

Anyone know of a way to add the stock gallery to Rootbox? I found the app but can't get it without losing my camera app. App can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34482124#
I was able to manually install it through system by changing permissions, well you know what I mean, but as stated earlier Iose my camera. Anyways, if someone knows of a work around or a similar gallery I would very much appreciate it. Thanks for your time.
idk how I got here...

Not sure if you got an answer to this already or not, but the LG gallery is separate from the LG camera, the Google gallery has the camera built in. I was trying the opposite earlier, linking the LG stock camera to the AOSP gallery, but I ran out of patience. Don't know if this helps you or not.
