Hello!
I am having trouble installing this app (toggleheadset2) on my Desire HD with the new Android 4 (IceColdSandwitch ROM). Suddenly there is no way i can install this app, my device is not campatible (on cm7 it was). The website says that it can run on Android 4.
Is there any other way to get this app on my phone (tried to download the .apk file to try it manually but couldnt find it)? I cant hear anything when someones calls without it.
Thanks for the Help!

I've go the G2 and its rooted.
Anyway, I was checking to see if I did the root properly and ended up resetting my phone to the factory settings , and I went on applanet to get a few of the apps I lost and I'm trying to download, but wheN I do I get a download error message.
Anybody know what the issue may be?
Are you currently properly flashed to a stable rom?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
are you downloading it directly to the phone via the phone browser?
sometimes the browser doesn't play nice with certain file downloads... just manually stick them on your sd and open them with a file manager
I have whatever ROM came with the phone lol.
Yeah, looks like I may have to manually do it until I fix the issue, because this has never happened before so I was trying to understand why now.
you can try a free app called "download crutch", it's no longer on the market but if you use a little google'ing you can probably find it. All download crutch does is enable your browser to download files regardless of format

Issue is this:
To install the ROM, you will need the ClockWorkmod ROM Manager.
Start Android Market on your phone and search for ROM Manager. Install the Clockwork Mod ROM Manager. Note that your Defy must be rooted before you can install ROMs on it.
Click to collapse
Being as I deleted google apps I can't use the market. So I managed to find a googleapps1.3 apk file on the net, reinstalled it but it just crashes and requires force close whenever it starts, have been told it is a permissions issue so I tried fixing permissions via ROM manager but I get this error:
"An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands!"
Now ultimately I want 2.2 froyo anyway, but what is the best way to get the correct Clockwork Mod ROM Manager APK for a motorola defy? I've looked everywhere but cannot find it.
ROM manager has an option to download it, but it only gives options for Droid x, droid 2 and some other non defy phone.
So how do I get myself out of this pickle and install froyo 2.2 or at least get google apps 1.3 working again?
Really appreciate any help, thanks guys
had to make a new account as my password wont work and neither will password recovery
anyway I tried using the defy recovery but it says the update.zip file is invalid and doesn't pass the certificate test or some random thing
how am to get google apps working again? all I want is my stock rom working, or if I can get a 2.2 version that is exactly the same that'd be great.
Can anyone help me? I have the googleapps.apk file but it just crashes if I reinstall it.
If you just want to get back to stock...
1. Send it in for repair.
2. Find a relevant SBF file and flash via RSD Lite. What does Settings -> About phone tells you?
system version blur_version.2.51.1.mb25.retail.en.GB
JRDNEM_U3_2.5.1.1
where would I look to find the SBF file?
managed to find a stock rom and reflash it, all is good now
thanks guys
Hi there,
hope you can help me. I used to have the usual OTA update, but got pissed because of the locations force from HTC. So I decided to downgrade and flash a custom rom.
I used the tutorial available here, did visionary, then s-off and eng radio s-off, even flashed the radio as recommended (after flashing the roms).
I tried several ROMs:
- [ROM] Android Revolution HD 5.1.7
- [ROM]LeeDrOiD HD V3.0.3 GB [KERNEL] V3.1.2
- [ROM][May 20]RCMix3D KINGDOM v1.0 Evolutionary Sense! THE ORIGINAL SENSE 3.0
All seemed to install fine, but all had the same problem:
Via Android Market, every download failed. Why?
Please help! I want my apps back!
Could be a router problem. Have you tried using the data connection rather than WiFi?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Have you tried clearing the data for the market app?
Setting>application>manage app>clear data and cache.
Sent from my TARDIS using XDA App
Router works fine,
cleared everything via the app menĂ¼. downloader, market, etc.
In no way, this phone does any download startet via market. Crazy thing is, that via http://market.android.com/ I can start the downloads, but not within the app.
I tried 4 Roms, and even the Stock Rom without root does not work properly anymore.
Please help, I am really helpless.
Did chat now about 2hrs with HTC live support. They are helpless too.
Resettet the phone all over, again and again.
Funny thing is, that under apps, installed apps, listed are:
- amazon mp3
- facebook
- soundhood
those three work. the others dont. neither am i allowed to mark google maps as "update automatically" (my phone is german), and every try updating or installing apps fails.
Funny thing is, that with a blank account, another gmail account with no content, it seems to work. But I need my main mail account of course, as I made purchases already, etc.
Please, someone here to help?
Hey guys:
Unlocking and rooting my HTC Wildfire was the second most frustrating experience of my life. However, it's finally over and I flashed CM 10 onto my phone along with 4.1.2 GApps signed (I followed this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1878031&highlight=unlocked+bootloader+but+s-on).
Everything seemed to go well, except the Google Play Store doesn't work. It keeps giving me the "Error retrieving information from server. [RH-01]" message. I've also noted that Google Services Framework is NOT installed on my phone. I should note that I have 0 apps installed, meaning I do not have a file manager and there is no file manager/explorer that comes stock as far as I'm aware.
I've looked all over the internet and everything tells me to erase the cache because corrupted data seems to be the most common cause of this error message. This is obviously not the case with my phone. What do I need to do to get this thing to work? I've reflashed the GApps and even flashed a different one. I've tried manually downloading and installing Google Services Framework but it won't install. I've tried moving files around on my SD card (the only thing I can access from my computer) and nothing has worked.
I'm just about at my wit's end here guys. Please help me!
PS. I have a clockworkmod back-up from before my phone was rooted saved onto my computer. However it doesn't have my apps in it so I don't think I can get a file manager from it.
**FIXED**
I feel like an idiot, but the reason it wasn't working was because the CM 10 mod I was trying to install failed to install :S I wrote the warning sign off as something else and didn't read the message it sent me I guess.
ANYWAY I found a fix here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136011 use the SLIMCM-10 ROM instead and that's what fixed if for me (use all the other downloads he has there too, except for the regular CM10 mod). Thanks for the help that I received, and sorry for being a n00b. Love this community BTW, you guys are the best!
This happened to me the first time I flashed icu's marvelc port of paranoid android...I fixed it by wiping everything and just reflashing the whole rom and gapps. Try that. Tell me if it works.

Hi,
I have been reasonably happy with my Wildfire S, even though it was a little slow and clunky. I thought about rooting it, but never got around to doing it until yesterday. The reason for that is that Wunderlist, the only app I actually use has been updated and now supposedly needs Android 4.0+
That's not a big deal right? Just unlock, root and then flash a CyanogenMod based on an Android version that's high enough. To be honest it wasn's as easy as I imagined and it took me the whole day yesterday to read everything, select a ROM and manage to flash it correctly. The only problem: Wunderlist still doesn't run on it!
I have tried a couple of CM 10.1 versions, with various GAPPs builds, but Google Play still tells that it is not supported by my device. I have also downloaded and installed the apk from the Wunderlist website, but the app doesn't start :crying:
Can anybody help me? What is the problem here? Will an different ROM work? Is it impossible to install Wunderlist on WFS?
I have tried A LOT of To-Do Lists and I'm not willing to switch to anything else. If I can't get my Wunderlist on WFS, I think I'll a new phone.
PS: Sorry for the lack of links, but I can't post external links as a newbie
EDIT: So, I managed to install a CM11 ROM, using a more recent version of the ClockWorkMod recovery. CM11 is based on Android 4.4.4, which did the trick. I couldn't access Wunderlist via the Play Store though, but I could isntall it via the apk. My phone is a little slower than I'd like, but at least I have my Wunderlist
