Xperia PLAY USB Host - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, apologies if there is an existing answer for this, believe me I have tried searching.
From what I can gather the Xperia PLAY doesn't have USB host support. Am I correct in this? I assume the ICS upgrade won't change things?
HOWEVER I'm informed the Live Dock (not the DK3000) adds USB Host support to all 2011 Xperia Handsets, however, I can't find any reliable information as to if the Xperia PLAY works with that or not.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!

USB Host is possible with 3.1 and over.
Release 3.1. : 10.05.11
Release 2.3.4 : 29.4.11
You understand what i want to say.?
Its only possible with custom Kernel or Maybe with ICS.

[Q] MooDeD ICS ROM v.5.5 / xUltimate v7.5 Engine

Yesterday I changed to 4.0.3 ROM (MooDeD ICS ROM v.5.5 / xUltimate v7.5 Engine) and it works really fine.
My question is how can I change, is it possible to change the MAC-Address for wireless LAN? My wife and me, we both have an ARC. I don't know why, but the ROM changed the MAC-Address of both phones to the same address. So now it's not possible for us to use both phones in the same Network.
Whatsapp or google talk is not working when both are connected to the router.
Is there someone who could help me?
Thanks in advance!
have u checked the post section of that rom? maybe you'll find the awnser there
still found nothing .. now we're fighting for the wireless LAN ... the looser has to use the mobile phone connection (EDGE) ... so not really fast

[Q] Ubuntu Port???

Wondering if anyone will port it to our device to see how it will run since we have CM10.1 and that is a requirement for it to actually run.

[Q] Change Device Name after root

Hey
I've managed to root and upgrade my device to 4.1.2, and keep the signal (network discovery)
now, since I live in Japan my phone's model is Acro HD SO-03D (and not Acro S LT26w/i).
After rooting and flashing (excluding the baseband)... my phone details says its LT26w, I didn't mind much but it kinda restricts me from using various applications, I wanted to use HULU (Japan) and I've got a proper account but it says it can't play the videos on this device. (works fine on the PC)
I've check the site and Acro HD is on the list of playable/supported devices.
I think that because HULU doesn't recognizes the new device name, it doesn't play anything.
Is there a way to change it ? just the name of the device.
I've tried this:
http://www.droidiser.com/2012/11/change-device-name-android-version.html
but it didn't work. it just changes the name in the ABOUT PHONE section.
Thanks in advance
EDIT:
I found this but it didn't help me much
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2226181&highlight=device+name
I don't want to just see the name in the ABOUT page, I actually want to fool applications into thinking I have SO-03D.
Can I just make HULU ignore the phone type and play it anyways ?
EDIT:
Here's the reply I got:
Thanks for your prompt reply. I have confirmed that the latest Android version for Japanese Docomo Xperia acro HD SO-03D is (Android 4.0. / Build number: 6.1.F.0.128). And build 6.2.B.0.211 does not seem to be supported here in Japan. If you have made any changes personally like rooting, this won't be supported for viewing.
I am sorry for the inconvinience but please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with this issue.
How can I fool the application into thinking I've got a downgraded version ?
beside changin' the stats in the ABOUT DEVICE page...

[Q] HDMI not working dure to missing hdcp.keys

I am running Official latest update (4.1.B.587) on Xperia Arc S (LT18i)
HDMI is not working.
I think it is due to missing file /factory/hdcp.keys.
Actual Logcat show that HDMI complains about HDCP and then got disabled.
Questions :
- Do you have such file on yours ?
- If so could you share it to give it a try (files may be phone dependent but it may work )
Thanks in advance

[Q] can anyone show how to edit the size of partitions of the Xperia S

first of all, hi everyone who's reading this
i'm interested in the Android 6.0 AOSP build, for example by billchen1977 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-s/s-development/pure-aosp-lollipop-t2940839).
but it says that i need to change the size of some partitions and something like p14 and whatsoever.
and to be honest, i don't know where and how to start.
so does anybody have time to tell me how to do this ?
i already looked up on a few forums and looked it also up on google, but either the downloadlink of some applications for the pc aren't available anymore or the tutorial is not suitable with the XS or it's done via pc-connection, but the pc has to run on linux (my pc is currently running on Win10).
if anyone's interested, feel free to give me advice
