My desire HD touchscreen becomes unresponsive on some parts of the screen, sometimes after closing a app, I usually lock the device and unlock it and it makes the screen responsive again. Anyone know why this does happen?
I'm running rooted stock android 2.3.5 sence 3.0, no busybox or custom recovery.

you can have problem with your root, with your superuser app maybe, any apps have acces to your phone and might do this issue,
you can try to restore your basic properties or flash custom ROM
Ok I'll try to restore basic properties, Thanks for your answer.

If the above doesn't work, do a full wipe and flash the rom again. Try not to restore all system data and apps because some might be causing this.

Have you changed your system partitions? Revert back to Sense partitions. N1's or Oxygens are to small to get Sense to fit in there

Yes i revert to stock partitions.

A bit redundant but you need bravo stock layout and not bravo sense.
Yes i reverted to stock (250 mb /system) .. Cleared cache. But same. Tried for 3 times.

When you flash an aosp rom with stock partitions, how much of free space does it give you after a fresh install without installing any apps?
( go with me on this). You might have bad blocks on system partition and sense rom might not be able to overlap them while writting.

That sounds logical. Is there any other (more reliable) way to find out if system partition was damaged?

It surely is from adb. But cannot recall ob how. Maybe a quick search in forum. Sorry that i cannot help more but im on mobile app.

i want to delete the app launcher2 that is installed with leedroid but its a system app even if i delete it with titanium it does a full reeboot an is reinstalled...can anyone hlp me without damaging my desire?
Do it in recovery with adb or remove it from the zip before flashing if you're s-on. Mentioned many times before!
Also you probably gain nothing by removing it. So why do you want to remove it anyway.

Yeah not sure its gonna help you in any way by removing it. If you're worried about it running unnecessarily, you could just freeze it with titanium backup pro?

Hi guys,
Having some problems with my desire. Everytime i try to go to recovery (clockwork) my phone gets stuck. It looks like it's trying to load something (that picture of an android with the box behind him). The bar loads almost a quarter of the way through and then it just loops back.
Any ideas on how to fix fhis?

Sound like rom manager? Have you tried booting in recovery manually? Or in rom manager clear the download cache and reflash recovery.

thr was an update to miui and i want to update but will it wipe out my entire phone?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App
Normally Not if there is no big update with major changes which requires to run the wipe script. Anyways It's always better to have a backup )

Oh what have I done...
Basically, after installing LeeDroid latest version 5.1.1 Gingerbread 2.3 (only have Radio s-off) a while ago, signal issues caused my to try and update the radio today to recommended version via GetRIL.
It wouldn't work correctly and I assumed that it was because I don't have Eng s-off for the radio install.
So, I tried to use the ENG s-off tool and got the message "HBOOT corrupt, do not reboot, go to XDA" and here I am...
I haven't tried to reboot the phone and it is still on as normal.
Have I buggered up the Hboot? what will happen if I try to reboot the phone and what should I do now? I'm worried.
Appreciate any help on this thanks.
(I have clockwordMod installed etc)
Anyone?
Please?

Was your phone shipped with gingerbread or froyo?

Im sure some were on the forum you will find the information to this and its about the fact that that is a normal message after using the tool and your Hboot is not corrupt.

Well, I'm not 100% but i think possibly froyo.
Why?

I have never used this tool but I know that if you flash a froyo bootloader on a gingerbread shipped device there will be problems.

Thanks for that. I'm pretty sure my first Gingerbread was when the GB LeeDroid came out.
I'm kinda in limbo at the moment. I don't normally reboot my phone for long periods of time unless it locks up or reboots itself. And I'm scared to reboot it now in case I have issues.
However, Is there something I should do to my device in preparation for the reboot? Or is there a way of checking to see if it was a froyo shipped device?
UPDATE:
If I open GetRIL now (after trying to flash the ENG s-off tool) it says "No permission, Features that requires a rooted device, Superuser and Busybox has been disabled"
Looks like something has happened
I still haven't rebooted. I just want to know:
If I reboot and I have a problem, should I do something before I reboot the phone? i.e.
Put a RUU on the SD card
OR a PD98IMG.zip stock ROM or something?
Is there no way I can check the condition of the Boot Loader without rebooting the phone or booting into recovery?
