Issues upgrading (searched and searched)

I am trying to upgrade my Xda Exec (O2 - corporate mode) and have read the posts and guides and downloaded all that I have to. Anyway on running the wizard service tool I get the following info:

So logic says I need to follow the G3 guide. So when I try and run the button rom I get error code 222. Having searched this I have tried bootloader mode but in that mode activesync doesn't recognise the device. I'm lost. If you are able to help I would appreciate it very much. Thank you

on running sim unlock (even tho I know my phone works on any network) and also CID (read block)

If you've read a lot I may be barking up the wrong tree but....can this tool (wizard service tool) be use for the Universal (Xda Exec)? Me thinks not all Wizard development tools (made for the HTC Wizard) work on Universal....

Not sure what it is and why you used it at all, sorry. I think your case is a clear illustration of too much knowledge corrupts the mind.
Your best bet is probably to disable USB connection settings in AS, remove SD and SIM and try again.

How can i find my Touch Pro2's Device ID

I need help in this
I have been trying to find out my device id but till now no success !!
I have also tried "device.zip" which is available here in this forum but still now luck
When i used the device.zip and ran the file it got

I have hard-spl my phone so that i could install cooked roms
Now i have the offical Europe WM 6.5 installed
My phone is T-mobile HTC touch pro 2
I have already tired the system~about~device id
There it tells me my name as device id "jagdesh" but when i try to enter this into any app which needs my device id to unlock its says invalid
On my windows media center it says "Jagdesh's HTC Touch Pro 2"
So how can i find my device id ...help please!!

To find the device ID just hit: Start-->Settings-->About-->Device ID.
However, that probably doesn't matter, because it sounds like the apps probably need the "Owner Name", not the Device ID. You can find that by going: Start-->Settings-->Personal-->Owner Information.

Let me try registering the app with my owner info...
I will let you know it that works
But how can i find my Device ID if i want when i am not able to with the methods above

What do you mean? Doesn't that method work for you? That gets you straight to the info you're asking for.

Nope till now guys i have not been able to find out my Device ID

Try search for enableownerinfo, think its a cab for your problem. I had the same problem but cant remember if it was that cab who solved the issue, but you can try...

settings --- all settings --- Today --- Items --- uncheck htc Sense --- check owner info --- ok --- go to homepage --- click tap here to set owner info ---

Googled it and installed it now..
But i am not sure if this is what i want
See i am trying to install some apps and when i try to register the it asks me my device id which i dont know how to get that!!
Anyways i will try this method and let you know if this works

But like i said i do think that Device Id is the same has owner's name .. maybe its some number or something
I read it somewhere that a device id is something which never changes its bunch of numbers and alphabets
Its not the same has IMEI or S/N number ..
Anyways will let you guys know of the results soon

HTC Device ID
Hello Jagdesh, greetings from the Netherlands where this HTC Touch Pro 2 is driving me crazy in may ways. One of them is not being able to find the Device ID. Did you find it at last?
And if so, can you tell me where these HTC people have hidden it?

Here's the answer, credit to HTC support the netherlands: look under the battery. There it is. ID starts starts with "HT"

Did you mean the Device ID or the IMEI?

Hi Jagdish,
I faced the same problem you did. I found owner information icon when i bought the phone. Later when I hard reset i dont find it.
you might have solved the problem. for others here is a way to go to owner information. This is the way I did.
Installed TouchShell. On the TouchShell desktop screen tap and hold and goto settings > About tab > Registration > beside the owner id, click Edit tab. You are there.

Hi Im new to this android world... i went through some site i saw that i can upgrade the software from froyo to Uberoid.
But i did saw some post from user from other website/forums,that failed to upgrade the rom which killed the device,black screen, hang on loading screen touch screen not functioning. i need some advise/guidance for which model in this changer.bat that works for my Apad. Your Help Is Very Much Appreciated, Thank you.

My Akai MID 702 have the same characteristic of your ,i think it's eken m009s, I'm flash uberoid 9.1.2 and select option 30 in changer.

google search "hch uberoid v9" and youll find what your looking for, The "tech know" website may make you register in order tpo view/download from its site.
Sounds like you have to choose option 7 in the "changer"

Does anyone still have the 1.0 apk?
I upgraded to 1.1 now it will not find my sprint modem and problems here and there.

Thank you so much, to bad I can only give you one thanks :laugh: , now everything is working again. I dont know what the dev changed on the update but something did dealing with the sprint modem..etc. and it all went down hill.

Seems like someone else had that problem too.... thought I read it in the reviews..

Hi There,
The app works fine when I install it first, my dongle i being recognized no problem. However if I disconnect, and unplug the dongle and try to connect again, the widget shows "no modem found".
I have tried forcing the app to stop, uninstall stickmount as I thought there was clash between both apps and still it doesn't work. the only work around I v found is to re-install the app, which is not very convenient when on the go and needing internet in the first place to be able to access it.
Would you be willing to provide me the APK installer as I am quite happy to install the app whenever I need it, or maybe suggest a workaround?

You should first, email the author of the app and see if he can help you with your problem.
I'm not sure I still have the app in backup... as I only save them for so long. (But I'll check).

If you have older version of PPP Widget 1.00 (apk file), please post a link. I have tried many changer.bat options since your last post; both uberoid v11 and 12.1. Nothing seems to work so far to make the ZTE-MF190 work again since upgrade from stock ROM. Tried 2 look for this file however no success. Thank you.

upgrading Basstek car dim android 2.3.7 system

Hi Guys,
I don't get information on the net, Till I discovered this web site so I trust ill get help here, I have purchased a Basstek Dim audio player for my Jaguar and its running android version 2.3.7 I want to upgrade it to a version in 4.0 or close to if we can,
I have phoned and mailed multiple suppliers and the only information I can get is Basstek is a OEM of a company called roadrover.ca which makes the software " android " is there a way to flash it and install a much later version.
