Bluetooth mouse- can't pair- blank pin - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I bought a Targus bluetooth mouse today. It detets and gets to a pair window where i enter a pin to pair however the mouse doesnt require a pin and my galaxy nexus on stock 4.0.2 wont allow me to pair without a pin.
Has anyone experienced this and, more importantly, anyone have a soultion? Ive tried 0000, 1234, blueinput to no avail.

Just post here to keep an eye on this topic!

Can you connect two devices at once via bluetooth?

You can, yes. I haven't used the mouse Keyboard combo yet as I can't pair the mouse, but the Headset and keyboard combo works fine. May have to source another bluetooth mouse that requires a PIN for definite.

Targus AMB03 Do not pair.
I have exactly the same problem.
My mouse is the Targus AMB03US, it is a HID bluetooth mouse and it does not require any pin at any OS.
I use a GSM Galaxy Nexus with AOKP milestone 5 and Franco Kernel Milestone 4.
I can find the mouse but when I touch to pair it my phone do not let me continue without PIN. The only thing I need is to press OK without putting any pin but I cannnot do it.
Is there a way to pair bluetooth dipositive without pin?

Well, I never got this problem rectified. infact, I had to buy a completely new mouse. Microsoft 5000 series Bluetooth Notebook mouse. Works great with my GN and can now confirm from personal experience that the Think Outside Stowaway keyboard and mouse connect and work together great

Just got my Razer ProClick mouse to work with SGS3.
At first SGS3 software always promted me for a PIN code and I know that my mouse has none. It wouldn't allow me to input a blanck code...
What I did was I connected a normal USB mouse (well, not really normal - a Cyborg RAT 7 lol) via a micro USB to USB cable then disconnected it. Then I simply tried pairing the Bluetooth mouse again and it didn't ask me for any PIN code! It just paired automatically. Must have picked up some mouse drivers via USB from another mouse, I don't know.... but it works flawlessly now.
Maybe someone will find it helpful...

Will any Bluetooth Mouse work?

I have a bluetooth keyboard from logitech, and it makes the tablet much easier to use, more of a laptop experience. Now I wanted to use the tablet connected to my TV, but find it a hassle to have to use the screen to select things. ect.
My question is, will any bluetooth mouse work? Logitech has a special android mouse, but its $50! I see other bluetooth mice out there for about $10-20.
Will any bluetooth mouse work? Or do I need a "special" android tablet mouse?
Thanks!
No. You need to be sure that the mouse pairs with the tablet via a 4 digit code (usually 1234 or 0000). The Targus bluetooth laser mouse (AMB03US) supposedly doesn't need a code, but I couldn't get the tablet to pair without it. I switched to a different mouse (Targus Bluetooth Comfort Mouse #BH3874)which used a code and it worked flawlessly.
yes ı use atech bt630 is work
YEAP!!
Yes!! With current Technology, many Bluetooth Mouse are possible to be paired with tablets. Some of them is specially built for pairing purposes too You may ask Acer/Tablet Specialists near your area, for ensuring your Tablet A1000 is confirmed compatible to your plan-to-buy Bluetooth mouse
If this helps and convinces you, pls kindly hit ''thanks'' button

I took the risk and bought a cheap "slim black bluetooth mouse" from ebay ($10) and it works! Im currently using the logitech android keyboard. I know any bluetooth keyboard will work, but the Android specific funtions really make things easier.
Hello. I have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse that pairs and connects succesfully but after entering in idle state for a few seconds they both stop working until i press on the keyboard or mouse. Is that normal? Is there a way to avoid this idle state and loss of connection?

Bluetooth working mouse with Android devices
Hi
Last month I bought Modecom BT keyboard with case and mouse (set) for Sony Xperia Z2 tablet.
Keyboard - model Modecom MC-TKC10BT and mouse model - Modecom MC-BM6
Keybaord has worked well since beginig, but I have had problems with mouse - flickering, many stops,
completely unusefull.
I have paired both devices with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 (rooted - X-Note ROM version - 16.0 by Soloilmeglio - Xentrix
Android based 4.4.2) and there was the same problem (only with mouse).
I have thought there is Android problem, but I have bought new - cheap mouse Esperanza Model EM123K and it works well and smoothly.
There is not any stops and disruptions.
It seems that is not an Android problem (As I wrote on some internet sites and forums), but hardware problem with some bluetooth devices.
Best regards
Marek

Wireless mouse and keyboard? (ideally supports wired mode too)

Can you guys recommend me a mouse and keyboard that works with an Android phone?
I've already tried a borrowed wireless mouse (one model from Trust that comes with a wireless dongle) but it didn't work. FWIW, this mouse works out of the box in linux, so no driver issues.
I got disappointed as I expected it to work out of the box for my phone too (youtube video influences).
Is there a reason for this? Is there any compatibility list out there?
So I would like to buy a mouse and keyboard that works.
And my idea is to be able to alternate the mouse and keyboard use with my mobile and my laptop. But not at the same time! Although that raises concerns about device pairing issues.
Requirements:
- both the mouse and keyboard must support wireless mode
- (ideally) they should also support wired mode, with the use of a detachable usb cable
- (ideally) the keyboard must be a silicone keyboard
- (bonus) the keyboard allows backlit
After some time with google I did found only one keyboard and a mouse, but there are issues: the mouse wheel is unconventional (so it may not work), and the keyboard seems to only be available in international layout.
Also I don't know if they will work with the phone or not (and if they will work with linux or not). So any info is welcomed.
So if you have any information about any models, please post it here.
Thanks!
anyone?

mouse without root?

Can I use a mouse without rooting my device?
Yes, buy an OTG adapter and plug it in. Also, I believe you can get a bluetooth mouse and use that.
Yes, Bluetooth mouse and keyboard work without issues. I have a Logitech mouse and an Apple keyboard that never gave me problems.

That,s great, I have an HP model that doesn't require a transmitter. On my first few attempts I it wouldn't recognize it. Got it now.
Next question, Is there any software to control settings for the mouse? Everything on the play store seems to turn your android INTO a mouse. What do you use? Thanks.

Which wireless mouse (non-bluetooth) that works with N7?

First of all, there has been a well-known issue that if you use a Bluetooth Keyboard and a Bluetooth Mouse AND have Wifi ON, there is a radio interference such that either the keyboard and/or mouse lags heavily.
This has been an issue since 4.2, whether it's a Nexus or Note or other tablet. Google never fixed it, or have no interest in fixing it since it was even documented in Google's forums.
So I am switching to:
- Bluetooth Keyboard (Logitech K810)
- Non-Bluetooth wireless mouse, connected via OTG cable
Unfortunately, ALL Logitech mouse I have (Anywhere MX, M510, M705, M325) does NOT work with my N7 and USB OTG. The ONLY one that works is with WIRED mouse.
Thus, does anyone have recommendation on non-Bluetooth wireless mouse that works with USB OTG?

Root and Bluetooth?

I am hoping someone can answer this for me. Will the recently released root capabilities allow me to connect a Bluetooth keyboards that requires a password? This is something that the Fire TV couldn't do previously.
looks like you posted on reddit as well,

Bluetooth Keyboard with built in touchpad
I am also very interested in this....
Is it possible to get the bluetooth settings to work with my motorolla keyboard and touchpad combo (Motorolla KZ500)? I get it to pull up the settings to see the keyboard and prompt to type in numbers but it doesnt receive anything I input at this step.
I will keep trying and let OP know if I find anything, but I am not a real android dev by any stretch.
I got my Logitech PlayStation 3 Cordless MediaBoard Pro to link with a generic usb dongle. It is great because it has a mouse pad built in
Got it to Connect - But not functional
I succeeded at getting the Motorolla KZ500 keyboard & touchpad combo to connect to the Fire TV through the use of the android settings.apk and typing in the numerical prompt. - I am on the latest firmware and am rooted now, if that matters.
However, despite showing up as an input device, no keypresses or mousepad movements are registering with the device. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
When I use a USB keyboard and mouse, it has no problem registering all of that.
