I backup all my apps using titanium backup, but when I restore all of them ,i would have to manually press INSTALL for each of them.
Is there any apps that would just automatically install every apps without giving me the option to install or cancel?
like, miui file manager, it would just restore all the apps.

I am about to root my phone and it says is will wipe the device... How can I backup my EVO before rooting? Looks like nandroid requires root already
Anyone know how to backup before rooting?
Correct, you need root to do a nandroid backup.
If you just want to backup your settings and apps, then do the first step in The Biles root method.
To summarize:
Enable developer tools
Go to unrevoked.com/m/
Download the app and install the app
Open the app. This will give you temporary root access
Open the market and download Titanium Backup
Open Titanium Backup, click on "Problems?" and upgrade whatever it says needs to be upgraded.
Open titanium backup again, hit menu, then hit batch operation. Select all apps and system settings and run the backup.
Now when you're done rooting, you can reinstall titanium backup and it will restore all your apps and their settings, it's realllly nice. Just note that immediately after you restore using titanium backup you need to reboot your phone for the settings to show up. Don't do anything else, just do a reboot.
Is there a way to back up apps and quickly reinstall them after a rom update without having to go to the market place?
I found the apks but when I manually install them, the market doesn't recognize they are installed. is there a data file that holds that info?

Download Astro File Manager from the market.
Install it, and its got the option to make a backup of all the apks. when you flash a new rom, all you have to do is install astro once, and then reinstall all of your apps from there.
The only downfall is that you won't get update notifications when updates come out for apps
the above solution does make a backup of your apks, but there is a .db file somewhere(i forget where) that the market reads to see what you have installed, if you backup and restore that file with each ROM flash(adb pull/push) then you will have your updates when they become available(but make sure that you are pulling/pushing in recovery)
Titanium backup does all of this for you and pretty quickly too!

I ran a titanium backup, then I deleted a bunch of stock apps, then I ran another titanium backup in preparation to flash my first custom rom.
My question is, after I flash the custom rom and use Titanium Backup to restore my apps and settings, is it going to restore all of those apps I deleted? I opened the Titanium folder on my SD card and all of those apps appear to be listed there.

If you didnt remove them apps from the back up then yes it will restore them. There shoudl be an option if you scroll down i batch where you can see delete back ups for noninstalled apps. I would do this and it should remove the back ups of any app you previously removed but had backed up.
Careful, Titanium doesn't actually take backups of system apps, just their data. If you delete system apps you may not be able to restore them with Titanium.
Does anyone have those stock apps, so i can reinstall through titanium? And how exactly is it done... Thanks.....

ditto! Need a zip file if possible with stock apps (mainly stock.apk and widget, news.apk, newsreader, rss.apk, friendstream and widget)
as far as how it's done it depends on your phone.
run
cmd
adb push filename.apk /system/app
In TB, it shows the system apps I had deleted, and they have a line through the file name. Below each one, it says that there isnt any backup of those apps. If I open them, it only gives me the option to un-install them. Should I keep them there in case I need them when I find a way to re-install them?
Certain system apps will not reinstall even if you have a backup of them. If you uninstall Facebook for HTC Sense, for example, there is no way of reinstalling it and getting it to work again. Be careful what you uninstall.
If you pay for the TB Pro Key, you can backup system apps (the actual apk) and restore them to /system/app - I've done so anyway. You shouldn't restore them (or their data) on other roms. You can also freeze the app to test if anything will break by removing it. Freezing doesn't remove the app, just keeps it from running or showing in your app drawer. I know it's a bit pricey, but I think it was more than worth the price. Plus you get background app restores, meaning that you don't have to agree to permissions and select install for each app.
You don't have to restore everything that you backup. When you choose to batch restore (select "restore missing apps with data"), you can uncheck which apps you don't want reinstalled. I usually only restore the apps I absolutely need after a clean install, then if I need an app later I'll restore it. This helps to weed out apps you don't use. You can of course do this with the free version.
If you've removed apps and need them again, you can download the rom and extract the apps you need then push them to /system/app. Or you can just flash the rom over itself without wiping data, just wipe caches. If you're running stock you can do this with the stock rooted rom.

I have like 400 apps in my Titanium Backup.. But I only need some 150 apps and rest I install or uninstall as per requirement.. Now the real issue is that when I Flash a new ROM, I have to check all those 150 apps first out of 400, which is a very tedious job and then I restore... I am looking for some solution which would see exactly which apps were installed in previous ROM and install only those "INSTALLED APPS AND NOT ALL 400 BACKED UP FILES" without requiring me to individually select every app..
I used MIUI inbuilt backup app which can backup and restore only currently installed apps, but I can't restore that to a NON-MIUI Rom from where my trouble arises, meaning I have to select individually those 150 apps out of 400 and then restore ;( Any help?
I am having fits trying to use Titanium Backup Pro (TBP) on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (i747). After installing a new ROM and preforming a TBP restore I always have two problems. First my wifi and 4G(LTE) fail to connect. Second, I can no longer install apps in Google Play store from my desktop PC. Before I do a TBP restore both these problem do not exist. What am I doing wrong?
First I will walk through my process of installing a new ROM.
Place ROMS & GAPPS in the root directory. I put them there because it is quick and easy to find.
Backup my current ROM using ROM Manager Premium v5.0.3.1.
Backup all my apps, folders, and settings with TBP...I think. I choose the Backup all user apps + system data option.
Here is where some of the confusion is for me. Which backup option should I chose in TBP?
I have tried both Backup all user apps and Backup all user apps + system data.
Or should I choose another option?
Does TBP backup all my folders I created on my homescreen and other screens?
Does TBP backup all my WiFi connections and passwords?
Does TBP backup information pertaining to Google Play?
Does TBP backup all my widgets on my homescreens?
Does TBP backup the wallpaper currently in use on the phone?
After all the backups I boot into Recovery mode using ClockworkMod 6.0.1.2.
Once inside CwM Recovery I select wipe data/factory reset, wipe partition cache, wipe dalvik cache, and wipe battery stats.
Next I install the ROM and GAPPS. After they both successfully install I reboot the phone.
Finally I go through the setup process to complete the new ROM install.
I have tried both letting Google Play restore all my apps and stopped Google Play from restoring my apps.
At this point my WiFi and 4G(LTE) are working fine. Plus I able able to install appsin Google Play from my desktop PC.
Now I preform a TBP restore. I have tried both Restore all apps with data and Restore missing apps + all system data.
Once the restore is done TBP recommends I reboot, which I do.
Sometimes the phone will get stuck in a boot loop. So I have to pull the battery and reboot. Sometime the phone will get stuck in boot loop and the only way to get out of it is to reinstall the ROM and GAPPS.
After the TBP reboot I notice my WiFi and 4G(LTE) are not working as well as installing apps from my desktop PC.
I hope you guys can help figure out what is going on.
Thanks,
-Sonny
Only thing I can say is never restore system apps. I always use TB and have never had an issue.

+1 to this. Never restore any system apps.
The only system data I restore is clock and contacts storage.
