Did anyone else get a prompt for ota update today?
Sat 2/11/12.
Give us more details, is a unbranded phone or a branded phone of an operator? What version of rom do you have?

I'm waiting to install until I read more about it.

i dont know, i got this phone a week ago and tried the ota updater and it had nothing. this just popped up today. i do not plan to install it either way but are you sure this is the same update?
I'm 99% sure. If you update you won't be able to root phone until HTC release new unlock.
My WFS has bootloader unlocked, S-ON and rooted, running JxMatteoROM v1.1.
No need to use any updates from HTC anymore. I froze update with link2sd and no more nag to install it.
What is the Android version? Is it 2.3.5?

Hi everybody.
Does someone know the link for the T-Mobile RUU, 1.26.110.5?
On the web I can just find the 110.2.
I think in order for some of us to get the T-Mobile OTA, we need the 110.5.
Or does anybody know if the OTA only looks at CID and IMEI numbers?
So is it Rom independent as long as we have a 1.26.110.x rom?
Just cause after downgrading from ARHD I am not getting the OTA on my device which is a bummer..
Thanks all... much appreciated
No one?

I think the OTA depends on your CID. I haven't seen the RUU 1.26.110.5
My software version is 1.26.110.5 and my phone is saying there is an update but everytime i try it just fails.
I have an unlocked bootloader but not root.
do i have to re-lock my bootloader to update or is there another way

ive re locked my bootloader but when i try to update it just goes to the hboot screen and at the top it says RELOCKED and underneath that it says Security Warning!!!!!
Any ideas please
Could you get the ota file of your phone first and upload it for us?
Just search for a file with the word ota in it.
Much appreciated..

We've got the official update as a zip now, but because a lot of us actually have 110.2 as base rom, it is not working.
So if anyone can post a link for the 110.5 base, that would be great..
Its interesting how the RUU we have 110.2 doesn't receive the OTA updates, I wonder if it is a test RUU instead of the actually released 110.5. Even if this is the case, it begs the question, why has no one got the 110.5 RUU yet?
Did you have any luck with the OTA on top of the 110.2 RUU?
Thanks
Nope, no luck at all mate....

I've put a request out for a 110.5 CWM backup which we could potentially use;

You need to flash stock recovery, then it should work fine.
Hi folks,
I bought my HOX from Amazon. Apparently it came up with HTC rom + slight changes did by the European mobile phone company Vodafone.
Currently, the operating system version is 4.0.3
Sense version is 4.0
Software version 1.29.161.13
Keneral 2.6.39.4-g1389c4c root @ ABM041 # 1 SMP PREEMPT
The problem: I did not get the latest update, and from what I understand, it depends on Vodafone's mood.
I want to have the stock rom, HTC original, no extra and no need to depend any gesture of goodwill of a cellular company.
How could I do this?
Thank you!

Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832891.
All the info you need is there. Basically you will need to unlock your phone via HTCdev and then flash custom recovery and root and then you can flash whatever One X rom you want, even stock.

Sorry, but i think installing a RUU is way more simple than rooting, etc.
For example something from here?

I don't think he could use a newer RUU, cause it has to match his CID and his phone is locked to Vodafone it seems.

Thank you for your responses.
If I'll change to stock:
1. Will I have to format my device?
2. Will I get in the future the official OTA updates?
Thank you again

Is your phone locked to Vodafone? I believe you can't change to stock, you are locked to that version and their updates if you don't unlock your bootloader.

And yes, I have Vodafone's logo when it boots.

If you're running on 100% stock Vodafone you have to wait on them to push the update - you can't use an unbranded RUU

What's RUU? And what if I'll root, unlock and install HTC original stock rom? In the future I still won't get official OTA updates?
RUU = ROM Upgrade Utility
If you went custom you could still get OTAs but I wouldn't recommend it as it tends to screw up the phone

And if I'll install stock, will I get all the last updates who HTC will release (as OTA)?

HTC sell the One X SIM-free which has stock, unbranded FW on it. They also supply carriers with their own version of the FW with the carrier's own apps/settings, etc. With older HTC handsets if you can set it to S-OFF (or use a Gold Card) you can 'debrand' the phone and change it to be the SIM-free version. You can't do that with the One X so unless you unlock the bootloader and flash a custom ROM you will ONLY get updates from Vodafone UK. If you go custom it's recommended you do not apply OTA updates as it can cause problems
Hi guys I have a HTC one v unrooted on ICS 4.0.3 and I'm trying to roll it back to its state before I installed the OTA update and I am having trouble identifying what Rom I should use. Why is that all I want to do is roll back from the OTA to the previous state before any OTA updates as I can no longer access the beats audio settings I have no interest yet in rooting the device with a custom firmware unless i really have to as like I said i am a complete noob to all this.

Hi guys,
What's the current firmware version on ATT model? Mine is on 1.15.502.7, however on HTC website, there's a version 1.15.502.8. Should I upgrade to this version or they are the same?
Thanks!
.8 is the latest, the release notes basically come down to VoLTE improvements.
