[Q] is there something similar for arc? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

is there something similar to this for the arc thats got everything that the arc can use ? also something thats not an app http://www.xda-developers.com/android/tool-for-desire-hd-does-pretty-much-everything-and-more/. ps i know flash tool and other things can do certain things but i want an alrounder like this or more added funtionality of flash tool would be nice.

I don't think so.
And FlashTool is good enough imo

[Q] What happened to the Supremacy Script thread?

It was here yesterday. Just want to know because if it contained some malware or some other shady stuff I should restore some earlier backup of my phone.
Other than that, since I did flash it, all seems fine with it. So, what was the cause for the thread removal? Cheers!
It looked like it was never tested on Plays. The thread is still there in other xperia forums.
Flashed it too yesterday, and my phone feels much faster and till now no problems.
It was removed from Xperia S forums aswell.. its done a minor wonder for the awake state of Android System.. so I really need to know if its unsafe.
The thing is that the feedback on that thread was positive or indifferent, no one said that it broke the phone in any way. So it's a small mystery why all of the sudden the thread is gone
I flashed it on a Jellybean rom and it wouldn't boot. I used it on an ICS rom and it worked fine, not sure what the deal was with it.
I use it on my stock 2.3.4 build. And it works without any issues. Can't vouch that it boosted my performance though since I didn't really test it well enough.
i have checked that on djjko ==> bootloop
2.3.4 ( ..62) ==> crash monitor error
2.3.4 ( ....58 ) ===> crash monitor error
so , i never will use that
Worked on dix2 but the same don't see any major improvements
Work on stock ics but battery drain too fast on standby

Arc is designed for Android.... what do you want is allmost imposible, porting wm8 to arc is not posible beacuase you do not have a similar phone with wm8 to start with, and you have to desing entire OS from scratch.
For HTC it is a app that run inside win mobile that gives you ability to launch a android OS, it`s called Haret. Maybe it exist something similar for android but i seriously doubt it, no one wants to switch from android to windows mobile, win mobile is the worst OS ever.

you can just remove some apps from the phone or install w good task manager
just don't let a lot of apps run together
repair wont make anything tried it many times but nothing happens love multitasking gaming and speed unlock ur boot loader root ur phone flash a kennel then install racing bean
"_____________________________________________________________________________"
press thanks if I helped :good:
Another way to make it faster is to factory reset and then with an app like Titanium backup freeze and uninstall unnecessary stuff like google maps and it's inner apps that consume lots of RAM all the time
Get rooted, make a recovery, use supercharger.
Im currently running on generic rom and fw GB version but had it run with supercharger v8 and now runs faster than stock ics.

I repaired it and its a bit more faster and doesnt lagg that much BUT, now my WiFi is crashing much more than before, what should I do with the WiFi?
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
being on stock is actually more stable all round with features, but its damn laggy and inconsistent UI. i may suggest u unlock your bootloader, root your phone and install a custom ROM, doing a PC companion fix doesnt save any problems. Sony's own ICS is very poor to be honest.
And with this root thing, im a bit scared not to Fu** up my phone..:/
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
owh,, then choice is entirely yours. i dont blame you. if you're not confident of rooting , then dont. its risky at first.. but, if you dare, u must do as much research on the steps as possible. Xperia Arc/S definitely benefits more from rooting, if its successful.
Does anyone maybe have idea what to do to solve WiFi crashing problem?

You can download flashtool and flash the 2.3.3 ftf. There's a 2.3.4 ftf as well but google sync is broken. If you don't care about gsync then go with it. Seqrch flashtool for 2011 xperia devices on here or on google. Then go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184897 and look under ftfs for the one you want. Then shut down your phone hold the back button and plug in tge usb to cpu. Click on flash (af lightning bolt symbol in top left and choose the ftf. WARNING:THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA AND SINCE YOU DONT WANT TO ROOT YOU CANT BACK THEM UP WITH TITANIUM BACKUP.

CM7 & stock cdma touchpad idea

Hi guys I have been reading in the forum lately that stock cdma 2.3.3 is basically aosp build? my question is can we then use cm7 which i think is more or less aosp build and the cdma 2.3.3 build to make a cm7 with working touchpads? or is the problem cm7 kernal??

That's a good question I've been wondering that myself and here's a little something I found out while running a rom (2.3.3 Verizon with timescape) that from is from the UK firmware which has the .145 baseband which is also included into the cm7 builds I was looking at the build props of both roms and noticed the base and was the same, so my thoughts were rebasing a cm7 build on that 2.3.3 gingerbread .145 baseband would everything still work? Or would there be to many problems with cm7 sources and stock sources causing it not to load?

isn't the baseband independent from the rom and just the firmware for the modem?
i thought the framework.jar is the problem or what i thought lately that the synaptics touchpad drivers aren't in the cm7 kernel.

Well here's the thing, sorry if I lose anybody here lol.
The touch pads and game pads do work but they don't work (if that makes sense) some games the game pad will work I.e off road legends sonic 1 but like gta series they don't register, I found an app that checks if the touch pads register it shows two yellow squares when you touch the middle "analog sticks" so they work and register but not on every game like sonic for instance the direction pad we can control him the x button makes him jump as well as pressing up on the left touch pad so they are there but not constant if you guys follow what I'm saying

That's weird lol
Has someone tried with semc prop values? As for Rockstar Games games (lol) you need these values
Code:
ro.semc.product.model=R800i
ro.semc.product.name=Xperia PLAY
ro.semc.product.device=R800
ro.product.model=R800i
If still they don't get activated, it should be a framework issue, rather than a build.prop one

Lol that line (mod.touchmpad.startfrom1=1) is a custom property that will be ignored by the system unless you implement farenheith's code into the framework (that isn't compatible with pre-Ics frameworks unfortunately).
The only chances we have are those values (and fixing the others of course)

I'd like to do something about that too :/
Farenheith didn't something for gb coz gb framework works in a different way than ics and +, and I don't have the skills (lol I'm 15 whom was never taught nothing about c/c++) so for now, I can't do anything :/
We need to find how the inputs work on gb (I mean in which smali and methods) and then make something like farenheith did, I think
