Sharing Using the gallery app to G+ result in posting blury photos. Anyone with same problem? Thanx
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
Yes, you need to use Instant Upload.
I wonder if google does that kind of stuff on purpose. Because there's always a "solution" that involves another of their service.
Blurry contact pictures? Tell your contacts to setup a google+ account.
No IDLE support in email? Use gmail.
No way to open a PDF url from an app's intent? Use docs.google.com

Hmmm... nope...
I've posted a lot to G+ by simply using the Gallery > Share > Google+ or Take a picture > Share > Google+
All of my pictures are good. Weird.
I don't use Instant Upload and frankly I don't see why anyone would want EVERY photo they take to be uploaded and stored online.
Does not make any difference if instant upload option is on . I tried posting from both app and is a hit or miss affair. Dam it Google.

How do you mean, blurry? Can you post an example before/after upload?

Indeed.
It looks like the upload process changed their size from 5MP to a more reasonable "social network" size but then Google+ upsized the shrunken pic...
The address is linked to the mobile webpage of Google+. That will happen when trying to view "mobile" pictures on a computer.
The mobile link is digital zoomed the same regardless of desktop Chrome browser or GN ICS Chrome.
Downloaded the full size photo from G+ website and is 680x680, thumbnail size then.

What screenshot app is everyone using? Just wondering cause right now I'm using shootme and it is good but doesn't let me upload here. Only if I use picsaypro to change the resolution..any ideas?

That's the same one I use. You upload it by uploading it on a site, like photobucket, ect then paste the link, I don't think the app lets you link pictures [xda app], or upload it to a public folder in your dropbox, then copy that link/file.

Like the both of you, I, too use the ShootMe app. I uploaded several screenshots, via the XDA app, mainly to the Warm TwoPointTwo thread. Update: I just uploaded a screen shot of my home screen.

DDMS in the Android SDK....
So I should press the browser button and log in to XDA website. Would that work?

If I may suggest, download and install the XDA app. It will allow you to post a screenshot taken with the ShootMe app directly to these forums just like I did earlier. It's simple and quick.

The XDA app will upload it to the tapatalk servers and link it. I had to change from png to jpg though for some reason or it would give me an error.

+1 i had to do the same thing.
drocap2 flawlessly and easily takes screens and can upload with xda/tapatalk with no extra steps
Ha. Never knew you could do that. I'm using shoot me. Thank you dougjamal!

Just a test!
On the xda app, I found that it doesn't let you upload .png files so you have to change the shootme settings to take the screenshot as a .jpeg. press menu when you open shootme and click on preferences. Lemme know how it works for you

Ah ok, never seen that before. Sorry I can't help. Did you try clearing twitter app data? Reinstalling?
already have unfortunately and so have others, not real sure why its not working

Ah ok, strange that no one has heard of it....hope you get some help with it.
Same issue here 4.0.2 stock GSM.
Yep, same here as well. Not too much of an issue but would be nice if it worked!
I broke down and got haxsync last nigh so I've been getting contacts sorted that way today but there are some friends of mine who only use twitter, so that's my only real beef. Hopefully it gets fixed soon

Have you got "sync contacts" turned on in the app?

Yes, which leads to the above error
I have the same problem on stock 4.0.1. I've had this problem for at least a week now...

that helps yea but do we know if the issue is with twitter or something Google needs to update? I'm assuming twitter right?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
quite certainly it's twitter fault.
also because they use email as primary ID in contacts definitions instead of numbers and names.
--tyler--
Switch back to twitter 3.0.0 and the contacts will sync again. I can show you a screenshot if you want.

I switched back to an older version of twitter as well and contacts will sync again. I found an older version on my goshared app.
Same problem here with VirtuousQuattro ROM for Desire S and installing old version didn't work either. Just wanted you to know it.
I'm running Axi0m Patient zer0 v18, not sure if thats the culprit, but I'm having strange problems with my gallery. Whenever I try to send a picture or open one up or set as wallpaper, it shows a different picture. Attached is a screenshot. I tried clearing cache from recovery as well as deleting some photos but its in multiple folders.

Well it doesn't necessarily solve the problem you have with the Gallery app.. but QuickPic is far superior imo.
See, I love quickpic but I also like having my Google instant uploads in there (unfortunately not every folder though) so if there was a way to do that and hide some Google uploads folders, I'd be the happiest man alive

I know if you long hold a folder in QP you can "exclude" it, but I don't use the G+ upload feature so not sure if this will stop the auto uploads to G+.. I do use photobucket for auto uploads though, maybe that is an acceptable alternative for you? I like it better than having photos auto uploaded to a social network.
Hi Ion users. I'd like to pay your attention to Google+ Timescape™ extension. It's already available on Google Play for minimal price

Google+ Timescape™ allows you receive the latest public items from Google+ account into Timescape™ feed on your XPERIA phone. Since there is no support for getting Google+ friends information, Google+ Timescape™ application assumes all public post commenters as friends and add them into Timescape friends list. You'll be able to receive only public activities from you and your commenters for the last seven days.

Lol Google + is much better then fb imo. Hangouts is awesome, us ion users can make a hangout group and talk about.....the ion?.... If we wanted to lol. But my favorite feature is the upload feature, knowing that all my videos and pictures are in the cloud is awesome. Especially now with the ions 1080p video capable camera.
In the end, I'm fine with Google + having a smaller userbase. The last thing I want is to see the fb whores in my stream, not to mention ppl who like to to tell everyone what they're doing every 5 minutes.
