[Q] Custom Statusbar Icons - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have been having a lot of trouble customizing the status bar icons for the rom I have been using, Radiance RC5.
All I am trying to do is change the Wifi, 3g, and Signal icons to the ones from ICS. I used APK Manager to open up and replace the icons and zip them back up. I then replaced them in the Radiance RC5 zip and flashed it. There is no status bar anymore. Went back to stock, then just tried to used the UOT kitchen (with gingerbread icons), with the same results, no status bar.
Any help would be appreciated.

did you pull the icons from an evo ics rom cus they mabey in the wrong size format if ya didn't

How do I change my notif bar?

Hi I'm on a 2.1 Sense rom and I was just wondering how do I change the notif bar's battery and background?
I tried just changing the icons in the framework-res apk in the drawable-mdpi folder
then I just saved it and pushed it and replaced the original framework but that just put me on an endless repeat of booting so I came back to 2.1 sense so .. How do I change it ?
I'm trying to change it like A motoblur theme
If I can't do it no Sense UI please tell me how to get it working on either GB or froyo?
I'm on the new radio btw
cm6.1 well you can go into cyanogen setting under ui than extras there is some different ones to pick you can use a theme you can flash a custom one its all on you or your rom
i suggest a theme poke around the forums for one
you can find a metamorph theme for your phone. and you just apply the notification bar with metamorph app

Reception bar

Hi guys.
Im Running Leedroid 3.0.3 with latest kernal.
I used the UOT kitchen and made me a battery icon. it works so all good =)
Q; Where in kitchen can I cook up a different colour reception (signal) bar please?
is it under status bar & then carrier?
Just wanted to double check. Thanks guys
Ajay
under 'Icons'
I've found it & thanks.
Only problem I'm having now is:
When I flashed the icon zip I made, it works BUT puts my battery back to normal??
So when I flashed the battery zip again that worked too, I got my circle battery back BUT then the icons I made also reset?
Can anyone help?
I've used the same framework, sys & HTC.resourses on all mods including a boot screen animation which hasn't been affected by the battery or icon.
Really appreciate it if someone could point me in right direction.
Thanks, AJ.
The check both the 'Use this Mod' for both the 'Battery' and 'Icons' tab.
Do the battery mod that you want, and the Icon mod you want....all in one flashable .zip file.
Flash it, and u'll be okay!

[Q] trasparrent status bar?

I wanted to get a transparent status bar because atm mine is just black and ugly.
So Iv read around places and it says I need to all sorts of complicated stuff with the Systemui.apk.
I was hoping someone who already has a transparent status bar could upload their systemui.apk so I can simply copy it into my phone
Thanks
im pretty sure you cant do crap with it unless the bootloader is unlocked lol. if it just install doomlords kernal and cm7 and just use a theme
You only need to be rooted. Because there are many options on tweaking the status bar to your personal taste, I suggest the UOT Kitchen. It is an online tool for themeing and for the status bar, you upload from your original systemui.apk and framework-res.apk, make changes and it will spit out a new systemui.apk for you to install.

[Q] UOT and ARHD 6.3/4

I installed ARHD about a week ago, version 6.3. I wanted to theme the status bar icons with UOT, however when I flash the cooked file only the battery icon changes, the other icons (wifi, signal etc) remain that same. Now if I do the same routine with AHRD 7.0.3, the cooked file does as I expected, all the icons change.
Anyone had any issues cooking up a file from 6.3 or better yet 6.4?
Thanks.

[MOD][DMC3] Black Status Bar & Icons

International leak Stock Rom XXDMC3!
Anyone using this rom and wants a black status bar plus the 3G and 4G icons from the leaked stock Tmobile rom, let me know, I can provide the SystemUI.apk for this build, here's a picture.
As always, clean cache and dalvik, first make sure to do a backup of your SystemUI.apk in case.
This is to be pasted on top of the original .apk using a File Browser of your choice.
Things to know:
This modified SystemUI.apk doesn't contain a resources.arsc file, once swapped it keeps your original file, I believe it makes it safer, the changes to the .apk are minimal. It only changes your status bar background to black and your status bar 3G and 4G icons.
