You could try Perfect Keyboard which includes a variety of sounds from different phones.

Would you mind sharing this "Windows Phone 7 Woodpecker" tone? I think I'd like to try it - despite searching for it and not finding it.
Here's the keyboard, go to sound and vibrate then select sound style. Make sure to download the English dictionary with it if you plan on using it as your keyboard.

Hi
I have a strange problem. Out of nowhere the shortcut to smiley faces gone missing from the keyboard when texting. It used to he where now I have enter/return button but even the long press doesn't show it... any suggestions???

the smileys are only shown in sms.
every else you see the enter button.
Yes, it depends which application the keyboard is under..If using sms (text) it should be there,,composing emails i believe the enter key will substitute it,,go to keyboard options and see if you can enable it on and not auto?
The OP said it is gone when texting ..

Are you sure you didnt use a different Keyboard when you had smilies on the enter key?

Has anyone had a problem when installing a custom message ringtone. I have the transformer sound and only a fraction of the ringtone will play, but when i use a stock ringtone works perfectly. Any ideas and thanks for the help.

I have found that in order to set notification ringtones other than the stock ones it has to be done from within the settings of the stock messaging app. :silly:
That is where I'm doing it. Works for a couple of rings then they start cutting off.

yep...me too..???
Try using Zedge app and apply it through settings... Just put the ringtone in the zedge folder, go to zedge settings, rescan folder and then apply the ringtone...
Thanks that works!

For the notification, try looking for this app in the playstore:
iPhone Notifications
For the iphone messaging, you would have to download a 3rd party messaging like GoSMS and install an iphone theme.
Hope that helps!
This is what you are looking for.
Try handcent sms app...

Then get a sound you want rename itthe same EXACTLY the same and change permission voila you can change you lock or spen sounds this way too my phone is allll suited

I don't think it's possible. To much Samsung stuff. Libs and frameworks stuff make it not possible.

It wont run on a non Touchwiz rom since it is dependent upon the framework. You can try it if you like, check out the link in my sig.

There is a way to make AOSP keyboard show numbers on top. Under advanced setting in keyboard add Custom input style English (PC). There is step by step instructions some where here on XDA, just do a search.

This is a handy workaround. Thanks. However, this setting also has punctuation keys on the right, making all the keys smaller. My perference would be for a true Note 2 type keyboard, though as of yet it's not available for 4.2. I'll use this in the meantime, though. The info is appreciated.
