Anyone know of a good adapter to use on the SGS II? I am not sure this is even possible.

The Amaze im not sure as this is the TmoGS2 forum...........however on the t989 there is an app called AllShare which enables DLNA, & yes it works great.
Another vote for the Monoprice MHL adapter.

Hi everyone. I need some help my son has just damaged my USB/charging cable that came with my GSM Galaxy Nexus. And I have a brand new unopened usb cable from my PS3. Can I use that cable without any problems? Can it damage my GNex? Thanks.
Any USB cable should work just fine assuming its got the proper pins for power and not just data.
Thanks. Well considering that the PS3 cable is used for charging also I should be fine. Right?
If the connections are same size u should be good

Ya it'll be fine.
Aren't PS3 USB chargers mini USB? Mine is. The nexus needs micro USB.

I sometimes use a $3 one I got from amazon. I doesn't fit as tightly but works nontheless.

Dunno. I have an XBOX
Yes, PS3 cables are MINI USB thus making them useless for charging the Gnex. Gonna head out to see if I can find a cheap micro usb.

Any one know if there's a cheaper one available and confirmed working?
There are cheapo ones that say "galaxy s3, s3, htc evo, etc" compatible, but i dont think a lot of sellers realize its a different pin connection.
has anyone been able to purchase one that works?
the genuine samsung one is too expensive.

Same!
You can use a cheapo adapter with Samsung's adapter kit.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Samsung-OEM-...Accessories&hash=item2572f37fc3#ht_1660wt_889
Free shipping to the US. $26 shipping to Canada (which is why I haven't purchased it yet)
Yeah I think I may just use the MHL adapter from the GS2 and the 5-pin to 11-pin adapter tip both from samsung. At least they're both OEM and I don't really feel like waiting.
MHL: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006FYXL2O/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&smid=A2AXKMC4UVT4QQ
Adapter Tip: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083FYL0O/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&smid=A1FBR7E8HT21EQ
Total is only $22.65. Just over half the price of the GS3 adapter.
The adapter tip you guys are referring to is usb to micro hdmi right? So you need the adapter tip plus micro hdmi to hdmi cable. The latter can be picked up for 4 bucks from ebay.

No, the MHL adapter is a microUSB to regular HDMI adapter. However the old MHL adapters for the Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S2 use a 5-pin microUSB input and you need an 11-pin microUSB input so that's what the adapter tip does.
There is a 3rd party one here for preorder

I'm pretty sure that's a Galaxy Nexus in that video. Note the on-screen soft buttons and lack of physical home button.

Don't have my OTG cable yet. Anyone using the DSLR controller app. Does it work on the Nexus?
Only had the Nexus 7 a few days but on initial tests it seems to work fine with my Nikon D50.

If you are referring to the one by Chainfire, then yes it does. I have a video showing it in action on the Nexus 7

I have seen them for 50 cents on amazon. Just look for OTG Cable there. The one I purchased is much more expensive but the one I know that works for sure. http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Connection-MOTOROLA-Packaging-89454N/dp/B004UAG6WC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1344457137&sr=8-3&keywords=motorola+otg+cable
Has anyone ever bought one of these adapters to watch movies or pictures ona HDTV?
Which one should I look for? Would an adapter for S3 work for a NOTE 2? Anyone have experience with this?
Where can I buy? On EBAY?
Thanks!

The only thing about the mhl is that the screen stays on. Anyway to have this turn off like the allcast hub does?

The screen stays on but you have to plug the power into the MHL adapter as well as the hdmi for it to work. Hence you're not using that much power cause it's coming from the power adapter and not your battery.

But what about screen longevity?

Turns the screen off when you plug an MHL cable in. Works pretty well. Can't say the same about the 65k color, super-delayed output poorly scaled to 1080p from the N2 though.
hi guys
could someone plz tell me if the camera works while using MHL ..like can u skype video call
thanks.
