My sd card is failing and I was looking for a replacement when I came across this one at Amazon. I wanted a 32GB, but the price on this thing was ridiculous.
Price: $8.22
Shipping: $5.95

I have the same card. It's great, can't really beat SanDisk when it comes to quality

Decent price, but a class 4 ehhhhhh. You should probably spend a few dollars more and go for the 10.
same card i have as well... had it for like 2 years now when i had my blackberry.. havent had issues with it.. but im thinking about looking into a 32gb class 10 card. class 4 seems to be outdated now

A SanDisk class 4 is equivalent to most brands' class 6. They tend to underrate their cards when it comes to speed.

Exactly.
I have a class 10 Patriot and it kinda sucks!
SanDisk micro sd have good reliability but their cards are pretty slow. My 32GB and 8GB class 4 SanDisk both maxes out around 4.3 MBs. In comparison my
AData 8GB class 4 averages 8MBs.
AData 8GB class 6 averages 11MBs
Toshiba 8GB class 4 averages 7MBs
Toshiba 16GB class 4 averages 7MBs

I have the stock MicroSDHC card in my Evo at the moment.
I am looking to purchase a Sandisk microSDHC 16gb class 4 or 6 card.
Class 4 would most likely be fast enough for me.
I have been searching around but have heard alot about counterfeits, etc.
Looking to purchase in a blister card as this appears to be the best way to be assured you are purchasing a legit card.
Any recommendations are appreciated.
Kingston is an option as I have also read good things about it.
Again, Legitimacy is a top priority.

This is just my opinion but I only use a-data micro sdcards. The 2 class six cards I got for me and the wife have served me with apps2sd and since before I even had my g1. They are very reasonably priced on newegg.
I just find sandisk cards to be over priced imo. But to be sure you only get quality cards I would buy from either tigerdirect or newegg.

I'll research the a-data cards.
Are they better quality than the transcend cards?
I'm using a 32GB Class 10 from Wintec and it works great. Only ~$85 on NewEgg. With their free shipping, I ordered it Friday morning and got it Monday afternoon.
Wintec Class 10 16GB SDHC for around $27 from Tiger Direct... I can't imagine why you'd go 4 or 6...

Heard something about smart phones can't utilize the speeds that class 10 offers, or something to that effect. So it wasnt worth the extra money that a class 10 would cost.
But at the price you mentioned, the cost is a non factor. Just don't know the quality of Wintec vs. the rest.
I've got several WinTec cards - even have WinTec PC10666 (1333) memory in my desktop - always been happy with the quality.
As far as speed - I'm VERY new to the EVO so I can't speak to whether or not the phone can utilize the extra speed.. But as you mentioned - at that price, who cares... And I will say this - putting large amounts of stuff onto this card vs my older class 4's and 6's via computer is *way* faster.
You can utilize the speed by changing one value in your system files

128 instead of 4, buy the wintec 16gb for 27 dollars, best cost for performance and size. There's a thread in the development section about it

Here's the thread with the SD card speed hack. Link . Worked great for me but I actually changed the script value to 512 to go along with my Lexar 32GB Class 10.

Just got this card and am very happy with it's speed.
what is the highest (assuming 32) capacity and class SDHC for the Droid Incredible 2
I looked up class 10 and the reviews were mixed
they sell 64, microsd cards... Id imagine they work in our phone...
They specs say it can only hold a 16gb, but I am running a sandisk 32gb out of a thunderbolt and have had 0 issues.
Sent from my ADR6350 using xda premium
You wouldn't have any issues with a 32gb card.
The stock specs have a 16gb card but the largest the microsd card slot can handle is 32gb.

+1 exactly the same for me. Using a 32gb card from my previous thunderbolt, and have had no issues whatsoever.
The highest capacity SD-Card that the D INC2 will work with is a 32GB. a bigger one may work.. but you will only be able to access 32GB of it.

Hah didn't know the specs claim 16, I had an extra 32 laying around and have been using since I got the phone with 0 issues.
It's possible the specs just say that because that's what it ships with.
The reason it can't access more, is cuz they don't have higher than 64GB in sdHC
here is a screenshot of the specs. the most it can handle is 32gb but it comes with a 16gb card preinstalled.

That's great to know!
I always felt that the card that came pre installed was a bit on the slow side. Does anyone have experience with any brands using class 10?

I'm using an A-Data 32GB Class 10 that i just bought a couple weeks ago. The read/write speeds are FAR faster with this card than the stock class 4 card that comes with the phone. Definitely worth it IMO.

I saw this on slickdeals and thought it was something you guys might be interested in. Fry's currently has the 32GB MICRO SDHC CLASS 4, PATRIOT PSF32GMCSDHC43P on sale with a 25 dollar mail in rebate making it $39.99 after rebate. You may need to pay tax/shipping based on where you live.

It's only class 4. I think you should have a class 6 to get optimized speed and 720p video recording. Any deals on class 6?

You sure about that? My 16GB card is rated Class 4 and I've had no problems with video. Just spend the 4th of july weekend at the beach making videos of my little girls playing in the sand and flying kites.
that's still a great price, i paid a little under 50 on ebay for a class 2...
Dang, got my hopes up. Deal is dead, OP lock the thread.

Thanks, I just ordered one. This is exactly what I've been waiting for!
Let me know how it works out when you get it. I still have my sandisk 32gb class 2 and always had issues with my recorded video skipping.
Swyped from my Supersonic
I was able to get in on this Patriot 32gb Class 4 deal from Frys (like with 30 mins until the deal expired). I've received it and it works great. I've been using Class 4 cards to record 720p video via my Pentax DSLR for years now with no issues at all, and using a 16gb Class 4 in my Evo without issues either. I'm sure Class 10 performs better, but Class 4 is definitely good enough, especially at $40 for 32gb.
I suspect that this is the beginning of the 32gb Class 4 cards getting down into a more reasonable price range, especially with all the Class 10 coming out.
Why is the kingston like half the price of the sandisk aren't they both top brands? Also will class 4 be able to function properly?
Guess i'll remove the links caues of the rules but at amazon the sandisk 32gb class 4 is List Price CDN$ 131.76 and at other various sites the kingston 32gb class 4 is around $55-70.
I am currently using verified-genuine 32gb Kingston class 4. No problem so far. Transfer rate about 5.6 to 6.1 mb/s. Taken Full Hd video. No jerk or whatsoever.
But be careful of fake Kingston. Best thing to do is before you buy, verify the card serial no at Kingston website in front of the vendor.
Just my 2 cents

Hmmm I doub`t I can do that considering i am ordering online but i ordered all my computer parts from ncix and had no issues I highly doubt they sell fake cards they are like newegg.com but for canada. Still not sure if I should go for the sandisk over the kingston
If they are that reliable, then u should go ahead and order. A class 4 will always be a class 4, no more or less in performance, if it's genuine.
If u want to get a sandisk class 4, u can actually top up a little bit and go for a class 10

Because that Sandisk Class 4 is overpriced.
For an equivalent of CDN$100, I can get a Lexar Class 10 32GB MicroSD. Great in sequential speeds but **** in random writes. Still, it is just to prove a point that the Sandisk that you are looking at is overpriced. Over here, the Sandisk Class 4 sells for 30-40% cheaper than the Lexar Class 10!

If the Kingston Class 4 transfer speeds are what the user above was reporting then think about getting a Class 2 Sandisk one (if its cheaper). My Class 2 Sandisk reads/writes at 5.5mb/s.
Just picked up a class 10 32 gb card at frys electronics for 35 bucks if you have one in your area its a great deal but beware of knock of names claiming to have class 10 speed and they transfer at 3 mbps
