So I followed the directions here:

Ok so I can't use Google Factory image with CWM?
And, If I use fastboot, I lost CWM , lockbootloader and root or not ?
Thx

You will lose cwm and root. Doesn't unlock your boot loader. But its easy to use fast boot to return everything back or use gnex tool to do it for you. Its stickied in the development section .

The factory images from Google are not pack properly for use with CWM. I plan to do it as soon as I have some spare time, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
To use fastboot, your bootloader needs to be unlocked. Yes, you will lose all your data (including /sdcard) if you unlock. And yes, you will lose root if you flash the factory images ,but it doesn't matter, as getting root back with an unlocked bootloader is trivial. Same thing with CWM, getting it back is trivial.

Can't use fastboot with a locked bootloader.
But if he is already unlocked his boot loader. Fast boot won't be a problem for him ( unless he is rooted without unlocking the boot loader using your method efrant.

You can flash the image from Google, your bootloader will stay unlocked. The only reason for you to lock the bootloader is to send it for repairs. Other than a hardware malfunction, you can fix anything that happens to your gnex. Everything can be done with fastboot or if you're new. The gnex tool software.
Okey Thanks you at all

Hi, I am a noob, and I just bought a Galaxy Nexus (YAKJUXW), and just flashed it to Stock YAKJU so I can get OTA 4.1.1.
Can I flash it back to stock YAKJUXW, unrooted, just in case I have to claim warranty? Where can I get the stock firmware?
TIA
When you need to send it back, just lock the bootloader, they don't know that you changed to the yakju
Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel, overclocked to 1.4GHz

Had CM10 Nightly 08/11/2012 running fine, my GF tried to load the backup of her sense rom from recovery from TWRP.
Now what ever I do, I cant get any signal on her phone, swapped sims, flashed all kinds of nightly's.
Flashed different radios.
Sitll no dice.
Any idea what the problem could be? wifi works fine.

Yeah, it's not data, it service.. nothing at all
Any joy with this yet? Mine's doing exactly the same after flashing a nightly.
Did you flash the kernel in the backup using
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
commands from your pc? Otherwise, it won't boot.
I just rooted/S-off a Dinc2 that I am setting up for my mother, using the "Comprehensive S-off/Rooting Guide". I have not flashed any ROMs or anything. When I boot the phone, it boots up past the white HTC screen to the unlock screen and then starts bootlooping. If I go into recovery and do a factory reset and wipe everything, then it boots normally. However, when I try to restart the same bootloop starts to happen until I wipe again.
Any thoughts as to what could be causing this? I'm hesitant to flash any custom ROMs until I get this resolved.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry to be a dunce but can you point me to the radio and instructions for flashing? Is this a regular flash from recovery or does it involve SDK, adb stuff?

Actually in the guide for S-off/Root I believe that the .312 radio is included. So I should already have .312 radio.
Well, I flashed a custom ROM and the same problem still persists. It will boot as far as the unlock screen and then it will start bootlooping until I do a factory reset in recovery, then it will boot fine.
Any ideas?
I had radio .312. I flashed .320 and the problem as been resolved, no more bootloops.
theres a radio section in the dev forum. put on root of sdcard as pg32img and go into bootloader and follow the screen instructions

Yeah, just got back to this was gonna tell you, just make sure and delete that file now, cause if you don't every time you try and go in recover mode by holding down volume up and power, it will try and install it again
