Hello, I'm having an issue with my Galaxy GIO with the market.
I Installed the market on the phone and try to launch it.
I get greeted with this message saying "You must add an account to the device to continue. Do you want to add one now?"
I tap yes and the app closes it self.
I'm using Android 2.3.7 with CyanogenMod-7.1.0-gio-RC-3.0.
Same with Gio - Cm 7.2 RC-1 P-4

gapps won't show up as an app. go to settings - a/cs &, sync - add a/c and check if Google option is there or not.

Well that's good that you didn't do that. I have flashed CM7.1 quite a few times and as soon as I finish flashing it, I flash gapps and it works flawlessly.
I'm unable to figure out your issue. So, all I can suggest you is to backup any important data, wipe data + wipe cache and then flash gapps again (you may try re-downloading it from http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version/Google_Apps).
Or wait for someone else to help you.
Alright then. I'll wait for another person to reply with another fix.

I had this too, even with gapps installed.. I fixed it by going back to stock, flash cm 7.2 and download gapps again,, make sure you use px-cwm-v2.zip as cwm recovery, mount system, clear data, cache, and make sure gapps.zip is on your root of your sd card..
Then flash them again

Did you mount system and data in recovery before flashing gapps?

Ever since I begin flashing new Roms my Sprint Apps are no longer there such as Sprint TV, Navigation, and NFL Football Live. Is there anyway to get these back, espcially on Miui ROM.

ok so lets try a few things. First lets try to fix permissions since miui is a asop rom. If that doesn't work make sure you wipe the dalvik cache, card partition, and data factory reset if your using rom manager. Also data factory reset when flashing a totally new rom not an update. If this doesn't work flash back to an older rom and see if this works. If not we will need to flash back to stock rooted to see if that fixes the problem.
I just flashed the stock rooted and it worked. I really like my miui setup and dot feel like wiping data since I don't connect it to the computer that much. But How do I check permission tho?

same way you update all roms. If this is your first time then just put new rom and gapps on sdcard and flash as normal. Wipe cache and davlik if you like. No need to wipe all unless you want to.. these are all user preferences and not mandatory for the rom to work correctly. Any issues do a complete wipe with Caulkins format all and then flash rom and gapps. Please remember that with AOSP you must flash gapps after flashing rom every time.
Hope that helped you..
I always wipe every time and don't have one off issues.

You dont have to wipe all just cache/davlik when upgrading... You dont have too but if you want too go right ahead. Just know you will have to reinstall software and information again I believe

Sure
Install the goo.im app via play store, tap menu, and select install openrecoveryblabla
After that, download this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1882248
And place it on your sdcard. Boot into recovery, make a backup of your current rom.
Then do a factory reset + cache wipe+ dalvik cache wipe. Then install the rom you just downloaded. Then reboot the system. PROFIT

Hey guys,
I am using an HTC DHD for the last year, and i've encountered issues with different ROMs
These are the ROMs ive been using, varying from one to another, looking for the most efficient / best performance.
List of ROMs:
ICS
Cyanogen (many versions)
CodefireX (ace-4.2.2-SR15, ace-OpenMaster-SR19)
JellyBean
TrainWreck4.2nov18
ace_PAC_JB_4.2.2-v21.0.1_20130317-080548 - Currently using
So far the best ROM for performance is the one im using (ace_PAC_JB_4.2.2-v21.0.1_20130317-080548)
Yet i cannot open "Google play store", nor many other applications such as "Waze","iGo" even "Subway surfers" , i see the loading screen, and then the app just closes itself.
I'll be glad to have some assistance, maybe logs i can see.. any suggestion is welcome.
Thanks

The most efficient/best performance roms will be ones based on official firmware. Arhd6 etc.
As for the fc's, in application manager have you tried 'clear data' and 'clear cache' on the apps that are force closing?
You have flashed gapps?

Yes indeed i have cleared the cache, i even deleted the app itself after cleaning the cache.
here are the steps as i do the ROM installation.
1) I copy the zip file to the SD-card.
2) - reboot into recovery mod
- wipe data/factory reset
3) - Install ZIP from sdcard
4) then i chose the zip (ROM) i want to install.
That's it....
weird stuff going on...
Thanks
