Slim
Extended vs Slim Thickness comparison:
Slim holds around same charge as oiriginal.
Still testing out Extended. So far giving me full day use with 10% left

I just can't do it. I'd rather carry my charger with me in my pocket than turn my beautifully slim and sexy E4GT into a mutant. Thanks for posting this though.

same thought but i DID buy an extended battery anyways. Charged it 100% and shoved it along with the ugly battery cover in my car's glove box for emergencies.

Same here. Calibration helps a lot.

An additional 150ma, if that number is even true, you won't notice any difference compared to the stock battery. That small of increased capacity isn't enough to be noticeable.

If it's accurate, it's a touch over 8% gained. Rough math, but if you get 12 hours use out of stock 1800mah, then 1950mah will give you an additional 57 minutes.

That is a horrid looking battery door. I too have no problems making an 18 hour day on my stock battery. Wonder if a Tpu case will stretch over the battery with out the battery door.

The extended cover looks better physically than in picture. Its rather it's easy to grip the phone now with the extended battery with my big hands. Battery still holding out nicely as before.

My extended battery (note: it's actually 3800mah) and door came today and I must say, I am damn impressed.
This phone, even with extra-deep door, is thinner than the Galaxy S1 I just came from, so I'm strongly considering leaving it on all the time.
The extra depth and curved door is also good for holding the phone in your hand.
It's a great purchase. I bought generic off eBay for under $10.

I will say this is better than generic
it's on par with trexcell although both are of same mAh

I just purchased the 1950 slim version. Have been using it for 3 days. I got Battery Monitor Pro so I could determine true battery amperage. It's telling me 2366mAh right now but I need to give it a few more days before it settles in.

Hey nubsors I've heard those apps cant truly measure mAh curious to see how accurate it ends up being. I have a generic battery and I'm curious about its real rating.

place a stock oem battery and have it measure it

Any of you wanna send me one to test?? I'd gladly test one with my equipment and publish it over at my Epic4G Battery Reviews thread. I'd also be curious if it'd fit under one of my generic cases (regular Epic4G here) just for kicks but I can review the battery no matter what.
I'll send it right back after I get 3 solid runs of collected data for consistency.

Frifox, Gotta be careful, the high temperatures in the car will probably kill your battery... Probably want to check the charge before you take any long road trips where you might really need it.

Estimated mAh for the battery has dropped significantly in the past three days from over 1950 to 1685.

Sprint HTC Evo Extended Battery (2600 mah)

Sorry if this already has been posted, I did not see it posted anywhere on here.
I just went to return my car dock at Sprint and they said they had just received shipments of Sprints' own extended battery + covers for sale. It was $54 after taxes. Comes with 2 covers, one white which is painted so it's smooth, the other a black that has the rubbery finish on the back.
Not bad for the price, I mean sure it can't beat the Ebay ones (which I ordered the 2 3000)
I am going to guess this is basically a Seidio rebrand?

Did you see any cases for it?
No I did not. I asked but they said they do not know of any coming out yet. I can't find this battery announced anywhere so it must be a brand new item from Sprint, guess I got lucky.
Sent from my EVO using XDA App
jesus it makes the evo look like a damn hunchback. i wish these companies would make these slimline only.
With phones outpacing battery technology by a very large margin, this is the only way so far. I mean there is the option of carrying a second battery, but that seems a little unnecessary. I'll trade aesthetics for convenience and utility.
Can these be purchased online?
mr2man07 .. how are the 3000mah batteries working for you, have you tested them? I've read eBay batteries are lower than actually rated as they arent regulated, even the Seidio's are falsely rated.
Thanks for the heads up, gonna pick one up tomorrow...

I do not even think they are announced from Sprint yet. I managed to get lucky and the guy told me they had them in stock if I was interested. Told me it was $49.99 and I jumped on it.
I have yet to receive them. They are still about a week out, maybe less. This one has only dropped about 15% over 5 hours of moderate-heavy usage. This is on the Fresh rom with battery-config script.
They are online

Do you know if they add the same height as the seidio 3500? I have the innocase extended on mine with the innocase extended holster ordered. I wonder if it would work with this battery. Also let us know how the battery does. I wonder how many actual mah it is.
I have no idea how it compares to a Seidio. I have not had the opportunity to do a comparison.

30 minutes of Angry Birds, 30 minutes of Reckless Racing, 30 minutes of browsing and 3 youtube videos, the rest being standby with WiFi at 7 1/2 hours total time uncharged, it barely dropped 20%. Whereas my oem battery would be around 40-50%. This being on only the batteries first full chrage.
I love it, it is no longer mandatory to put the phone on the charger just to navigate to clients for work, or to be able to use tethering.
I am a Network Technician, and I use my phone a LOT during work days, and this battery will help me greatly.
Obviously, this is not for everybody. I see my phone as a utility, a tool for my job and a personal gadget/toy on off-hours, not some fashion device, so its "beauty" is not as important as its functionality.
Jesus H Christ, that backplate and battery looks bigger and crappier than my Chinese-made 3500mAh, which I got two of at just over 1/3 the price.
im new to the forums but been following and taking UR guys advice for a while....anyways I just picked one of these up today to. Last one at that. I was gonna get the 3500 mah battery from hk right before I bought this one but went with this since oem. I would like to see how long it last.
Update: its now close to 6 hours of being in my phone under heavy usage and it hit 15% and that was out of package with no charging.

Rule of thumb on these is most batteries are shipped with a 50-60% charge from the manufacturer . It also has yet to be seen if this battery is truely a 2600mah . As its well known from Batteryboss even the Seidio doesnt hold a true 3500mah charge . From batteryboss the Seidio is only holding 80% of its advertised capacity . If the battery from Sprint holds true to that ratio it still will hold a charge of 2080mah (This is just theory and estimated) . You should see an improvement over battery performance from stock . Give the battery a few charge / discharge cycles .
Just grabbed one last night and not really sure if Im gonna keep it. The main issue I have is my phone is completely naked now. Ive got no holster or protective case and Im paranoid about dropping it. Gonna try and see if theres some type of case at best buy tonight that will fit this battery even if I have to modify it.
As far as life goes, Just took it off the charger so gonna try and use it heavier than normal today and see what I get

[Q] Seidio Innocell 1600mAh Slim Extended Life Battery

What do ya think guys? Snake oil or not? I'm tempted since, if the rating it true, it is a significant increase for us vs the small increase to the epic 4g guys. My question is how much more can you squeeze out of a defined space of Lithium Ion batts? Or is this just Seidio just re-rating a battery higher than it truly is?

I'd pass. They're rated higher than their actual capacity. There is no worldwide battery calibration police so companies can basically rate their batteries at whatever they want. Do a quick google search and there was a test someone did where they discharged various batteries and OEM did best.

The whole point of that statement is that the battery doesn't perform like a 1600mAh. The number is fake (that poster's opinion, not mine; I've never used Seidio's).
I've used Seidio batterys in the past and been pleased. I just do not think that a 1600 mAh battery is enough for the bolt.
whats the biggest battery we can stick in a tbolt with the stock battery cover? 1750?
I had stock size seidio on other android device and to be honest... it is not worth to pay almsot twice the price for maybe 10% longer lasting battery. Unless you can live with thicker extended battery, 1400mah stock is the way to go.
I had the 1750 for my Droid Inc and was more than satisfied. It lasted longer than the stock 1300. I know many people who had it and did not have this type of luck. I believe that Seidio batteries are luck of the draw.
They ratings that manufactures and vendors put on their batteries can come from a couple of different place. They can put the maximum expected output, average expected, etc. I've seen a lot of testing done and Seidio along with other companies seem to prefer the maximum expected. This doesn't mean you'll get that rating, just that it could possibly provide that much in certain circumstances.
I had the DX and purchased their extended battery and it truly was phenomenal. Reports had the mAh rating on that thing bouncing around because it was different depending on whether you looked in VZW's system or talked to Moto.
End of the day, the worst you will get is a spare battery. Since this battery would only jump from 1400 to 1600 I'm not sure I would bite. The 1300 to 1750 was definitely a sizable jump. The battery was actually larger, but in reality I found it performed as well as the official HTC 1500 found in the EVO and Sprint Hero.
I've used Seidio batteries in my past Blackberrys, my Dinc, and DX with good results. Ordered two of these for my Tbolt and was disappointed. Tossed them in a drawer and picked up two more OEM 1400s as spares (I travel a lot).
Dunno if it is the Tbolt or...?
I sent mine back, I did not see a difference at all
I've never owned a Seido battery, so I can't make a judgement from personal experience. However, I've read mixed reviews from others and I figure that if it was possible to cram a greater capacity battery into the tbolt without requiring a larger cover, htc would have done so. A 1600 mAh battery won't last significantly longer than the original, so you are proly better off buying another OEM or cheap one from eBay

Galaxy S compatible 1800mah battery for $20

Hello there, Captivate people! Visitor from the Vibrant forums here. We found and tested an 1800mah battery that, while intended for the Epic Touch 4G, fits and works perfectly in the Galaxy S and all it's variants. I've personally tested it in a Samsung Fascinate and a Samsung Vibrant. The Fascinate was a tighter fit than the Vibrant, but the battery door closed just fine.
I've personally tested the battery over the past week and it lasts significantly longer than the default 1500mah battery (I'm a relatively new Vibrant user, so my battery is only a couple months old). The math seems to match up with the 1800mah claim. To be clear, this isn't as surprising as it would be if this were a random Chinese ebay battery. This battery is made by Samsung for the Epic Touch 4G. It's noticeably thicker than the stock Galaxy S battery, but not so thick that the battery door on the Vibrant and Fascinate won't close completely.
The battery can be found here:
http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productdetail.asp?productid=28506
I spent quite a bit of time trying to find the best 3rd party battery for my phone, and lo and behold, the best one comes from Samsung itself.
If you'd like to read more than just my humble opinion, here is a link to the thread started in the Vibrant forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1262035
Hope this information is helpful. Enjoy your Galaxy S!
has anyone tested to see if this fits in a captivate phone?
Great question. Anyone have any contacts at AT&T/Sprint/Verizon to see if we can do a test fit?
I love CM7 but it drains the battery fast. 1850 capacity would be great and a nice boost.

I think everyone bought these on Sunday. It will be Friday or Monday before you see a report.
Just received the battery from mobilecity. I was leaving my home as I saw the package, so no photos or long term report. Initial impressions though:
Most importantly, the phone works. I'm typing this on it. The battery came with a 45% charge, so normal.
The battery is a little thicker than the original, and a little heavier. The back cover is slightly tight fitting.
Will try charging in a little.

Thanks for the pictures. Let us know how this performs over the next few days.

Here is the battery in the phone, plus attempts to show how little the battery size affects the back cover:
Basically, it's barely noticeable and is ever so slight. It just makes the latch a little bit harder to close, that's all.
Charging to 100% right now, will report on stats after it drains overnight and tomorrow.

Great find! I've searched daily for one of these. Thanks very much for sharing. I need one for backcountry GPS use and changing out small batteries always screws with settings. For $20 with cover and Prime, I'm jumping on it!
Just a quick warning that these are not NFC compatible. Personally, I don't use it, but it may be important to others.
Battery came very quick, very fast delivery and used for one day
I'm extremely impress with the performance of this battery. Typically on an average day, I only get at maximum 4 hours of battery life thanks to the 4G connection, now I can go on for a whole day without looking for a charger! will continue to post results as I use this more
Also will like to comment on the back cover. It has the Hyperskin texture just like the original case. Makes the phone just as grippy as the original case, the cover also provides an ergonomic contour for holding the phone properly. With the original cover I find it a little bit too thin to hold. Along with the hyperskin texture, this thing does not slip at all.
Overall excellent build quality and good lasting battery. This will be my main battery going forward
I don't trust Chinese batteries because of an experience I had with a Chinese battery I had for my DX2.
I will stick with my expensive Seidio batteries from now on. lol
seidio is like 4 times the price of this battery. I tried seidio before and although they are good, i find phones obsolete too quickly to warrant on an expensive battery with similar increase of batt life
At that price it's hard not to pass up. There are very few times I need such battery life but tournament weekends and occasional outings for events definitely would warrant this.
Just ordered one for flights with an external charger. Hopefully everything works out well.

Battery vs Stock vs Extended Verizon
I'm worried that the cheaper cells used won't hold their charge after xxx charges. It happens all too often. I think all of us have had this happen to them on one phone or another. At that point might as well buy overpriced Seidio.
That picture makes it appear that the extended battery nearly doubles the thickness of the phone. I'm using the Sansung extended battery and while it adds a nicely needed "heft" to the phone that keeps it from feeling too cheap, it doesn't add a lot of thickness.
I ordered a GSM one from Amazon UK, there's not much price difference with the chinese ones on eBay and, although the battery might probably come from the same or similar place, the case seems nicer and if anything goes wrong I'd rather ***** Amazon customer service than some random eBay seller.
Will keep you informed, although I don't have the official extended battery to compare with.
I just got mine in today. Definitely is thicker and kind of looks like the seidio extended battery but it actually matches the color and texture of the original battery. I am coming from the verizon extended battery and am charging up the new one as I type this so I'll report back after I use it a bit

Absolutely spectacular battery. It's a bit snug, but it DOES fit inside the original battery cover. No overheating issues, either. Terrific battery life.

Thank you for the reply... seems as though Andida has very mixed reviews... the stock GS3 battery is 2100mAh, so if this andida fits the S3 and the Vibrant, then in theory the stock Samsung S3 battery should fit the Vibrant and I'd rather have a Samsung battery than after market. thank you
The Epic 4G Touch stock battery fits in the Vibrant, slightly larger capacity.

I have an 1800 banker replacement battery very good battery I would definitely recommend it. 20 dollars for two and a charger

Yeah I took the battery out of a SGS3 and no way it will fit in the Vibrant... But since I just came across some extra money, I think I'll decide between the Note 2 or the Nexus 4 and keep the Vibrant as a backup.
Ive used an Anker Epic Touch 4G 1800mah in both a T959 and a i9003 and it is great.. big improvement over stock

I bought the anker 1800mAh, ebay had it a bit cheaper than amazon, 11 bucks shipped.
It's been working great compared to my original battery which is now crap. I can get close to 8-10 hours of actual constant use compared to my older battery giving me 2~4 hours.

I also use this battery currently and have been really happy with it. I bought mine from ebay, I went and looked through my history and there don't seem to be any for sale anymore that I can find though...
I have been using Anker. Highly recommended.

Same. With the charger, my phone will never go dead since I have 3 batteries now!
Using anker 1800 mah battery as well. It is working well for me. One fill day battery life with normal use.
2 for 1 in amazon.

Hi, I decided to buy this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Extended-Ba...842809?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4ab8502ff9 . Does anyone tried it?
Nope, but I'm really interested in the results. Please share your experience as soon as you receive it.
1850mah Kingk battery on ebay.
First charge cycle. Not bad at all, innit?

There are a lot of gaps in your network signal, why? also what is your screen? what apps do you have? for how long do you use them? thanks.
The phone is usually in airplane mode while I'm sleeping at night, mostly because the table where it stays is near my head.
I don't get the question about the screen. It's the standard super AMOLED Vibrant screen. I'm using the ambient light sensor (50% indoor and 50% outside).
I mostly send SMS texts, use the stock browser (with Flash plugin enabled), Tapatalk, Flightradar 24 pro, Sportstracker PRO, Player Pro 2.7 (AAC 256kbps), and a few phone calls/3D gaming. Looking at the graph, the phone doesn't sleep often.
With this scenario, I could barely make 18 hours with the stock 2 years old battery and 24 hours with a 1 year old fake 1800mah Samsung battery.
Here are the 1st to 4th initial charge cycles.
