cwm back up file date - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi everyone,
been wondering about the previous backups i was making recently. Before I was backing up my file the file had an updated file date (ex. 2012-1-26.13.09.32). But now, when i make a backup the file is dated 1980-1-06... and so on. has anyone encountered this problem? if i make a backup now and the file date turns like this and try to restore it, will it still be the same files i backed up? im using cwm 5.0.2.0. any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
thanks and regards.

[Fixed] Help lost my backup!

I wanted to tryout cm10 nightly build for my s3. I backed it up and installed the rom. After playing with it, I went to restore and now it says no files found?????
Any clue how to find it?

Created another backup, so I was able to put my original backup in the new backup folder and restored it from cwm recovery. Worked.

Sorry, was a bit shocked when it happened.
Well i found the back up, but when I go to CWM to restore it says no files here. But I can access them when I connect my s3 to my computer. Whats an alternate of way restoring this backup?
Where is the backup supposed to be? I have a feeling this is an emulation issue.

Its supposed to be in Internal Storage/S3/Clockwork Mod/Backup
When i try to boot into recovery and restore from there it says
"Couldnt open directory"
No files found
What version of CWM are you using? Check /storage/emulated/0 and /storage/legacy/0.

Disappearing CWM backups?

Hello all, using a Bell Sgh-i747m here. Recently, I rooted and did a nandroid with cwm backup of my stock rom, and installed the m2 cm10.1 and the newest gapps. I made sure to have a backup, but mysteriously, it has disappeared! Does anyone know if it could've changed folders? Or was it completely deleted?
Thanks in advance.

Ive never heard of any being deleted. Did you do any kind of wipe when you flashed your ROM? I dont use CWM so not sure but does it store your Nan's to internal or external?

Not sure if I am reading that right or not but I am thinking that you may need to update your CWR version to support the new 4.2 file structure. Can you get into a File Explorer and go to /storage/emulated/0/Clockwork/backup/ or /storage/sdcard1/Clockwork/backup and see of they are in there? It has been a long time since I used CWR so I am not sure if they are kept on the internal or external.
My guess is that they are still there, however your CWR version can't read them. Best way to check is to look with a file explorer like I mentioned above.

Woody is correct in saying you need to look in the "0" first. also /data/media/clockworkmod or /mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup. copy your cmw backup from "sdcard 0" (or wherever) to sdcard
as far as recovery versions, cwm is simply an installer. if it was not a recent enough version, you would have got an error 7 and it wouldnt even have flashed the rom. since you have flashed a 4.2 rom, you and cwm now need to know where to look for the files new locations. grab root explorer if you dont have it yet.

[Q] Md5 Mismatch

Hey guys, I'm having a problem restoring my stock Touchwiz backup. Every time I try to restore it I get the md5 mismatch error. I'm using CWM recovery 6.0.4.5 from this thread. All my other backups work just fine. Now I did move my backup from my phone to my computer to save room on my SD card and moved it back when I wanted to restore it. I wonder if this could have changed the md5? Also the backup's name has no spaces, wish it was that simple to fix lol. I've seen a couple other threads to fix the md5 mismatch issue but wanted to see if someone who's experienced this could point me into the right direction. Thank you.

[Q] Can't Flash the Stock Nandroid Backup

Hi Guys
First time poster here so hello from me, need a little advice please, I am trying to unroot my HTC One M8 (ATT) and I was going along quite nicely using the unlockr guide and then got to the "Flash the Stock Nandroid Backup" part and I am stuck big time!
Long story short I just can't find the files when I boot into recovery, I downloaded the stock stock Nandroid backup unzipped them or RAR and put it in the /TWRP/backups/ folder which I had to create the Backups sub folder. Then I boot into recovery mode and nothing, it can't see the files, I have the correct files I double checked I got the correct one but it just can't see it.
Anyone had this issue, I bet I am doing something stupid I just don't know what!
Help
Thanks
Stuart
If anyone could help me with this you would be doing me such a big favour, will be traveling tomorrow overseas and hoping to get it taken care of before I go. Thanks again
Stuart
It will be TWRP/backups/youserialnumber. Go into TWRP and make a back up of your boot partition. That should create the folder that you need to install your nandroid backup zip to.
Thank you so much for the reply, I did try earlier to try make a copy of the boot partition but I have never done it before and it didn't work out very well. Any advice or apps recommended please?
Thanks
Stuart

Boot into recovery
choose backup
uncheck everything except boot
backup
reboot phone
browse to where the back was made from you pc
put the nandroid you downloaded in the folder that was just created by TWRP backup.
reboot to recovery and restore the backup ... done

[Q] Nandroid backup problem

Hi everyone,
I have rooted LG G3 running Lollipop 5.0. I've managed to install a custom recovery (TWRP) and now I want to flash a custom kernel. But before doing so I need a nandroid backup just in case something goes wrong.
The problem is that when I make a nandroid backup (everything goes ok), I can't find it on my sdcard. If I boot into recovery and open a file manager from there, I see it - it's there. But when I try to find it using some kind of file explorer (I've tried ES File Explorer, Root Browser, etc) the TWRP folder, where the backup is supposed to be, isn't there.
I have installed the revovery over my stock one and haven't got any other recoveries before that (if that matters).
Am I doidng something wrong or there is just something that I am missing?
Please help.
Best regards and thanks in advance.
