Deckd out blues? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I had to reflash 1.3d, and I noticed that certain things weren't themed as they usually were. as seen in the pic, that's how the notification bar is supposed to look, but when I reflashed 1.3d it showed a little blue Android guy in the corner and it was transparent. lock screen and power menu wasn't themed, so I reflashed deckd out blues rc1 and it went back to the boring status bar. Is there any way to get the Android guy and transparency back?

[req] transparent navigation bar background

I've seen this done on rootz wiki but they stopped updating it past aokp b23 any chance anyone could create a transparent navigation bar background for aokp b32? Now that apex has the option to delete shadows it seems like all that would have to be done is delete the navigation bar background, but I don't know how to do this.
yeah i keep seeing themes all around with either transparent or different colored navbar backgrounds. Would definitely love to be able to change this. I have a feeling lots of people would like to have the option.

Every time I've tried the transparent nav bar it was horribly ugly. When you click on the nav bar the glow happens and never goes away and leaves ablue glow on it that looks terrible. That's probably why they stopped doing it

Custom Notification Bar in I'Ve?

I'm rooted, and running the newest version of Darkside Evolution (version with the camera fix).
I'm trying to use Super Status Bar to customize my notification bar (I like the all blue ICS look up top).
Keep running into issues whenever the "select input method" keyboard icon pops up...it force closes my custom status bar and returns it to stock.
Anyone know a way to work around this?

Remove the change keyboard notification or give us a logcat. Removing it is a better idea though.

ROM TB vs Paranoid status bar settings?

I used Rom tool box to change the color of my status bar icons (individually different colors), but the new icon colors are reverted back to stock blue when I go to my home screen. I think that paranoid hybrid (per app) settings are somehow messing with this, but I can't figure out how to get them to stop and leave the rom tool box settings alone when on the home screen (trebuchet). I'm not really sure whats happening because I also have the status bar background set to transparent (in trebuchet), and it seem to randomly revert back to black every once in awhile.

I figured it out, kinda. You can't really mix and match status bar icon colors from both hybrid settings and rom toolbox. You have to go with one or the other....just in case someone else runs into this problem

Hard time seeing notification bar. Any colorful options out there?

Oh my GS2 I had a notification bar that was very colorful. For example when I got GMail notifications, it LOOKED like the red and white GMail icon. When I got text messages, the icon LOOKED like the green color messaging app icon.
I could see those very well. Unfortunately I can not see gray notification icons very well.
Are there any colorful theme options for the STOCK JB ROM?
Thanks!
Anyone?
Either flash a rom that uses the Theme Chooser engine (I'm running Task650's JB on my AT&T s3). There are a TON of themes available for it.
I've also never tried it, but I've heard others talking about an app called Omega Statusbar. Maybe that will help.
I agree, I hate the stock status bar. Signal/Battery/Wifi indicators.

I've been looking for the same thing! Don't want an entire theme, just a colorful status bar. I'm on Task's AOKP rom and looking for a flashable zip.
I believe paranoid android had that. Look in the original android development forum for the ROM.

Transparency status bar and navigation

How come HTC didn't make the status bar and navigation bar transparent like everyone else are doing after Kitkat? Am I missing something? Is there an option to turn it off?

It's transparent on the home screen and lock screen, and then changes color based on the app that you're in. It's just a design choice on HTC's part. Custom roms and/or sense 6 toolbox (when it comes out) will probably let you force transparency all the time. However, transparent status bar and white icons with no shadow or outline can make for a bad day if you pick the wrong wallpaper.

Yea when I had my nexus 5 I was basically the same way it varied between apps mainly for that reason that visibility of the of the icons would be horrible.

Oh I see, I am just asking because I am using the Google Launcher and it doesn't have transparent status/navigation like the Nexus 5 does.
