[Q] HTC (Wildfire) unlock bootloader stuck at Step 12. - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

With this HTC Wildfire A3333 in hand:
I went to the http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/ site.
Registered.
Received my Unlock_code.bin file.
Followed the steps ... almost to the end.
Stuck at Step 12.
I should see the successful results as indicated in the attached screenshot.
But instead, at Step 12 it hangs right here:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...
Click to collapse
What should I do?

Above it got stuck at Step 12 on a Windows XP system.
So I repeated Step 12 on a Linux system.
"fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin"
Got the exact same results. Stuck.

[Q] S-off method - Phone rooter by other

I just bought a rooted DInc2. I love it, and am slowly learning about. I don't know the method that the previous owner rooted the phone, but it is currently S-ON.
So, my question is: which method should I use to get it to S-OFF? I was looking at the Comprehensive S-OFF/Root Methods (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1751796), and it is not clear to me. Do I use the instructions, "Get S-OFF after using HTCDev Unlock", even if I don't know if the phone was rooted using HTCDev Unlock?
Here is info on my phone:
S-ON
HBoot 0.98.0000
Radio 1.09.01.0312
eMMC-boot
Firmware 6.01.605.05 710RD
Thanks for your help
Only way that I know for it to be still S on is through htcdev.com. Yeah use that guide.
Sent from my forgotten by HTC Droid Incredible 2. Rooted and Rommed by great minds at XDA that won't forget this phone.
Go into hboot and see if the device is unlocked or relocked?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
unlocked
It says "unlocked", so I will try the 2nd method. Thanks.
HELP!
So, I am going through the steps to Get S-OFF after using HTCDev Unlock. I made successfully (I think!) through flashing the zip file:
Vivo_W_Gingerbread_S_VERIZON_WWE_2.18.605.3_Radio_1.09.01.0622_NV_VZW1.92_release_199487_si.zip
Everything was working as expected, so far...
Then I proceeded though these steps:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip 1.09.01.0312_vivow_Radio_PG32IMG.zip
but I get the following when I try to flash the above Radio zip file, which is copied directly from the command prompt window
C:\Android>fastboot flash zip 1.09.01.0312_vivow_Radio_PG32IMG.zip
sending 'zip' (13225 KB)... OKAY [ 3.425s]
writing 'zip'... INFOsignature checking...
FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 6.232s
I tried re-flashing the Gingerbread zip, but same result. I am stuck at the black HTC screen, and not sure what to do next.

Finally got the radio to flash. I copied it to my sdcard, and flashed it by starting up in bootloader. Got S-OFF via revolutionary, so mission accomplished!

What steps did you take to flash it over from your sdcard once you started in bootloader?

I copied the radio to my sdcard, with the name PG32IMG.zip. When you reboot in bootloader, it prompts you to run that file.
Don't forget to delete or rename that file when you're done so it doesn't prompt you to run that file every time you go into your boot loader.

HTC One M8 Root failed - Australia

Hi there,
I have just tried to root my HTC one, and I am now stuck in the boot loader screen and it is showing *Tampered* at the top.
Can someone please advise me, or point in the direction of what I need to do now?
Thanks.
If it says tampered it should say unlocked right below it.... go to this site and follow the instructions to get full root. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699065

Once you have unlocked your bootloader then it will show you tampered.
Download a custom recovery (I prefer TWRP) and flash it via fastboot.
Then download @Chainfire Supersu flashable zip from his site and flash it in recovery.
You have rooted your phone.
Ater placing my device into fastboot mode, I have tried flashing my downloaded TWRP file to my HTC One in Terminal using these instructions:
Now let's flash your downloaded TWRP file to your HTC One. Type one of the following commands into your terminal window, depending on which file you downloaded above.
For the International editions, type:
fastboot flash recovery Desktop/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.2-m8.img
However I get the following error:
command not found
any help would be most appreciated.

hi,
plz try CWM, M8 got some issues with twrp.
philz_touch_6.26.6-m8.img is the stable version plz try that.
http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/m8
So I am starting to move forward :
I have followed the instructions to install philz_touch_6.25.5-m8.img by flashing it to my HTC where I get the setup screen for philz_touch_6.25.5-m8.img. I cleared the cache and I then installed the UPDATE-SuperSU-vx.xx.zip using the install zip from sdcard and then rebooted the HTC.
Unfortunately I have come back to the bootloader screen.
For what the instructions say it should be working now, but it does not seem to be?
Now it seems that whatever I try I cant seem to get past the bootloader....
And when I power down from the bootloader, It shuts down for a few minutes and then boots back into the bootloader.
Not sure what to do now?

is your problem similar to this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784232
May be you are using the wrong version. If you have international device you should try international version of philz/cwm recovery.I would suggest you to use TWRP since it is basically meant for htc devices.

Could be because of the typo?
I noticed you used the command:
"fastboot flash unlocktocken Unlock_code.bin".
When it should be :
"fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin"
(no c in token )

Then I noticed you mentioned spelling and I looked at mine. I had left out the "k" in token -_-
Worked like a charm after.

[GUIDE][FIX]Cant unlock bootloader? Read here for a Fix

Hey guys , here's a simple guide on how to unlock your bootloader without having to downgrade all the way back to 2.17, in my case i had 2.17 system since it was the most stable(2.18 is a cluster hell of bugs) with 2.18 bootloader and recovery(yes you can mix and match)and so i went to try the bootloader unlock with just flashing the 2.19 system.img, that dint do anything the "getprop ro.isn > /factory/asuskey" command would do nothing, the bootloader wasnt unlock and so i did the following:
1.Downloaded the2.19 ota manually here link
2. I extracted the droidboot.img(fastboot img) from the 2.19 ota zip
3.Rebooted to fastboot mode
4. Then ran this command "fastboot flash fastboot droidboot.img"
5,After this i rebooted back into system and rerun the unlock bootloader steps and viola the bootloader unlocked!( it wasn't before simply because the 2.18 fastboot does not have this unlock command)
6.After you unlock the bootloader your device will most likely get stuck at the bootanimation screen, at this time reboot back into fastboot mode and downloaded the black splashscreen here and run "fastboot flash splashscreen splashscreen.img". then reboot back to system and your device should boot all the way into your homescreen and your done =]
All credits go to ssj and shakalacas(ota links splashscreen link) for the bootloader unlock.
THIS WILL NOT WIPE ANYTHING ON YOUR DEVICE, if you mess up the commands thats on you follow the guide properly and everything will be fine.
That second link is trying to run some chrome extension, not download the file?

I think this is the file you were trying to link to:
https://mega.co.nz/#!IlMGiZ7I!kepXRFda7cgNPWHQovkCZaMaD2zVF4UufAJT6YEDU3k
I'm on 2.18 and rooted. Problem is, I uninstalled or disabled a bunch of ASUS apps, will I have an issue if I use SuperSU to unroot and try to restore or upgrade my phone to 2.19?
Also, I have model number ASUS_Z00AD. Is this firmware OK to install on my phone?

Uh.. wtf? Since when has the boot loader been unlocked? I was under the impression that we were waiting for an unlock tool as has been discussed in a few threads.. is this legit?
Edit: nevermind.. I stop looking for a day or two and this device's boot loader is unlocked. I am very excited and glad that I picked this device as it seems like it is in for a lot of love

This is probably a silly question, but I have the ZE550ML and the latest update is 2.18, meaning that unlocking the bootloader it is still not possible can I install droidboot.img(fastboot img) from the 2.19 ZE551ML on my device? Or that will just hard brick my device?
Let me know your thoughts on this.
Continue the great work XDA crew =)
I am on 2.18 and can't seem to find any way to update to 2.19, all the links are dead.
so I rooted and flashed droidboot, but when i run the adb commands it says unlock failed and restarts
any help would be greatly appreciated

You need to flash the pre rooted 2.19 system.img, then you will be able to unlock, since 2.19 has the unlock files in system.

Many people have reported seeing an inverted background in the bootloader. I don't have that.

Right now I'm booting into recovery mode to flash a ROM to the phone. I'll update if I get the phone working.
