No more menu button, so how do you... - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

So Google's axing the Menu button and encouraging developers to do the same, and we know moving forward, a lot of OEMs will switch to three button, or buttonless phones.
My question is, how would users, and how do G.Nex owners access this menu from the home screen:
(That's the menu that pops up when you hit the menu button on the home screen on a Nexus S)

Bottom right... The one with three dots. That's our menu button for the Galaxy nexus.

[Q] Physical Keyboard Shortcuts

Hey everyone I have a G2 running the Latest CM 7 build and for some reason out of no where my physical keyboard will open applications as if some of the keys were shortcuts to different applications. For instance when I press on the letter "e" it will open my email app and "b" for browser etc...I notice after a battery pull everything is back to normal and I am able to type as needed but after a few hours of the phone being on the problem comes back. Any ideas??
BTW this was happening even when I had CM 7 RC 1 as well.
this should just happen when you press search + BUTTON. map shortcuts in settings -> application -> quick launch.

[Q] messaging app problem

My epic froyo mesaging app icon doesn't show up in the homescreen bar with contacts applications and phone so now I only have those three in homescreen.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
What launcher are you using

If you have stock launcher do the following:
- bring up your application list
- hit menu then edit
- drag the message icon from your application list to the quick launch bar
- hit menu then save
You can customize the quick launch bar with froyo

Also, once you move the messaging icon back, hit menu agin and hit a-z if you want it in alphabetical order.

Home screen

How do I change the icons at the bottom of the home screen?
Press applications icon> menu button> edit > switch. Press and hold to drag new icons onto the dock like usual.

Go to the applications menu, tap menu, edit and drag out the app you don't want and drag in the app that you want. Then tap menu again and hit save otherwise it won't change the changes that you've made.

Yep, 3 dot menu in app drawer --> apex settings --> homescreen --> its near the bottom
thx for ur replies.. i got similar answer from apex thread..
forgot to mention that my way of entering the app drawer is by clearing apex data and return to stock launcher..
when in tablet mode, i cant find the "menu" (6-dots) button in the home screen..
and i figured out why i couldnt see the button that enters app drawer.. cos its on the google search bar!
and before turning on the tablet ui, i had disabled the option "Show persistent search bar" in apex settings..
that pretty much ended every possible way of returning to the apex settings when in tablet mode (along with disabling tap, double-tap & long-tap actions)..

Double tap the home screen you should see a menu. Or just long press the home screen and add the Apex actions /Apex settings".
thx for all the replies, and to prevent others from repeating my mistake, here is a summary of what i did (and what should be avoided)..
(1) disable "Desktop double tap" & "Desktop long press" actions in Apex Settings -> Behavio(u)r settings
(2) disable "Show persistent search bar" in Apex Settings -> Homescreen settings
(3) enable "Use tablet UI mode" in Apex Settings -> Homescreen settings
this series of settings will effectively make ur N7 stuck in tablet mode, and the only option now is "Notification bar -> Settings -> Apps -> Apex Launcher -> Clear data"

No dedicated menu button

I found there is apps I need to press menu to get to a screen but there is no menu or dots... For example holo launcher HQ I have to press menu in order to hide apps but I can't! Is there a workaround? Thanks. I tried googling but I don't think I am phrasing my issue right.

Touch and hold?
Sorry, no new info to add.
One example is in holo launcher HQ in the app drawer. I'm supposed to press menu to enter 'hide apps' ....can't touch and hold there. There's no way to add a menu button to the onscreen nav bar?

Cancel this dumb question. I discovered the settings in the launcher settings. Its optimized for the on screen buttons, oops
