Pointless. It requires you to use a heat gun to separate your display screen and transplanting it onto the new bezel. Risky and not for the inexperienced.

i know, but it's one part it was just so he could see the bezel
And it can be done without a heat gun. not that i recommend doing that, but i did it when i changed the Bezel.

HTC One X - Tear Down Photos

http://fashion.pconline.com.cn/mobile/1204/2754053.html
Just like the sensation the One X can function seperate from its shell
However these photos also reveal the screen is one part with the metal lining which in tern locks into the polycarbonate
the problems some people are facing is a flex between the screen and the metal frame! glue problem or do we have clips there too?
Also you can see how to replace the battery
Great news that the battery is easily replaceable, hopefully the part is available to the public either first or third-party...
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA
Great to see someone has been brave.... Must have large pockets or large stones.....
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA Premium HD app
the bad news is the flex, is between the metal and screen, that's certainly a defect
i guess the glue is pooping out due to structural pressure or heat

Not so easy.... To change battery, have to remove mainboard (battery connector laying under)= warranty void...

Your warranty is void anyway, or you wouldn't be changing the battery yourself. ;-)
the more i think about it the more i realize most of the different issues around here are coming of this particular screen defect, where the glass is pulling from the metal frame around, i thought its glue
but i tried my hardest to lock mine back and now its locked into place
so i dont think it glued back, there most be also clips in there for the screen too to clip it with the metal frame
everyone with the flex issue should shut down the phone and try to lock it back
If I put quite a lot of pressure on mine it does stop it from creaking for a short while but it soon comes back.
I've noticed the creaking is worse when the device is cold too. For obvious reasons I guess

yes but im trying it now the more i apply pressure the more it becomes rigid, the gap is almost gone too
try around the whole rim and not just the affected area with the device turned off (no fast boot)
That big sheet of copper is for heat spread. Just so you know where all those heat is coming from. Apparently it needs a copper sheet to spread the heat about.
Just saying, for those who dont know yet. My chinese is horrible. That is about the only thing I can roughly understand.

actually whats aggravating the heat is the charging and wifi, tegra3 on its own is fine

That copper will be transferring heat away from hotter areas, and towards cooler ones. The battery will be one of the hotter areas.
Also, it's likely there for RF shielding to some degree.

This explains why my phone won't charge at the same time as running something processor and graphically intensive.
It says...
"The opposite of taking it apart. As you put the phone back together, push the top area into the calycarbonate casing first then slowly work your way down the sides into the casing. The putback process was similiar to the Sensation, however the One X design may be for making the device more compact and thinner."

Broken LCD?

Hello Guys.
I dropped my phone today and when I lifted it up my screen was blue/black. I pulled the battery out and turned it on. Most of the screen is black and can't see anything. There are strips of blue pixels here and there.
What exactly is broken and what do i need to replace. I obviously need to replace the Glass frame/screen, LCD ... do I need to replace the digitizer as well?
If anyone knows about this please help me out.

As long as I know any T999 i535 I747 will be compatible except I9300. I dont know why but some T999 users havd problems.
Is a good deal indeed. But If you can find some with frame includes will ve a very sweet deal.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-Samsung-...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item51ae2b66ce
I know sound expensive but you only will have to change the mainboard and components very easy without any need of stick or glue to install it on the frame.

Yeah I heard it should work and is cross compatible. But my question is if on that eBay link.. Are they selling everything I need to fix my problem or do I need to buy something else? I
It says: 1. Front Glass Touch Screen Digitizer Panel + LCD Display Screen pre-assembled without frame
That's all I need ?
Thanks

Yes, the only concern I have is the glue used to join the frame with the screen, if isn't professional installed this will be falling soon or getting dust an sand under the screen. Thats why I recommend the entire frame and screen set...

It is a known problem, many others have it also including me. Take a look at the thread below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/elephone-p8000/help/survey-aboout-display-clouding-p8000-t3286253
Therefore, there're no solutions towards that issue? Like disassembling it and try to take out this vapour; from what I've been told it is. The branded phone has amoled screen which is protected by a gel which prevents this types of vapour residue.

I am no expert. From what I have managed to gather is that it is a design fault, unlike a monitor or a tv screen where this issue can be fixed it is not possible on the p8000. Some people have brought a new display just for it to happen again!!
This will probably be my first and last elephone.
Have same problem in top left and bottom right. I ordered a silicone cover and it covers it up well.
Doesn't fix the problem I know but it's a work around.

Well, the major problem is that screen is glued securely , more than a back, glass panel. The problem is that if you try to heat glue to take the screen off, you will propably at 80% end with dead pixels due to heating. And because of this super secure glue you will have to heat a lot
It's not worth it

I think that only the upper and lower part of the glass is glued to the frame itself which should not be a big deal to take off the glass from the frame.....
Your best choice would be to use a frame's skin to hide the defects
Ex :
https://dbrand.com/shop/oneplus-x
Screen is glued and removing it would most likely destroy it due to heat. Not worth it.
Does anyone know if the lcd itself is also glued to the frame or not?

Do you have very small mini hairs on the screen?

I have 3 very very thin ones on the flexible screen that can only be seen in the backlight, do you have any? Do you see it as a problem?
I have many of them. I have used my fold very carefully, but they keep cumming. I think there will be many more, but i dont care. I dont see them when the screen is on.

Ah, gotcha. Then I have a million of those on my screen from who knows where. At least they don't show up when the screen is on.
I did not notice this until recently on my Fold. Now it seems like I find a new scratch every other day. I just ordered a screen protector for the inside screen. It was recommended in this forum and people have used it without issue. We'll see how it goes, but I don't want it to get scratches all over:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/283631210480
I have had my fold exactly one month and the main screen is absolutely pristine, not a mark on it. I Keep the device in the official leather case around the house/ workplace and in a pouch as well when it is in my pocket to keep out any dust or lint.
i think OP needs to specify certain things. we need more context.
are you using a case? or protective sleeve?
are your pockets dirty?
if you don't have a proper protective case, maybe some dust/lint from your pockets migrated into the middle crack while folded, and you then went to use the screen without noticing.
maybe you had left your nails long one day, and happened to get into it in a game or something. gaming tends to make you press harder than you should.
i somehow highly doubt they magically appear from "regular" use.
I don't have any on my screen, you possible got those whilst cleaning the screen with an old cloth.
I'll be surprised if you get hairline scratches by regular use.
