AOKP Battery Mods UPDATE Milestone 3 1/31/12 (READ INSIDE) - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Since the progress has seemed to slow up on another thread for the 1% battery mods, I figured I'd pick part of it up. I love the mod that allows custom battery images from 0 to 100% so I'll make sure there is a version for every new AOKP release. If you don't want to wait or jump between forums, you can look here. Here is the mod for the latest build Milestone 3. I will continue to do this until romanbb possibly implements it. Enjoy!
Note: While the new Milestone does include the circle battery as an option, I have still chosen to add the mod for ease of use. All current images (200+) would have to be renamed in order to switch to a preferred battery with Roman's mod, and I know a lot of people will not want to do that. Anyway... Here you are
Update:
AOKP Milestone 3 1% Battery Mod (With softkeys and battery shown in screen shot): http://www.mediafire.com/?i69ha07s3yd7sr7
Previous Versions
AOKP Build 21 1% Battery Mod (includes images shown in screen shot): http://www.mediafire.com/?si8zo9ropo73aqc
AOKP Build 21 1% Mod w/Stock Keys: http://www.mediafire.com/?5094o09cw2fbw4x
AOKP 20 1% Battery Mod: http://www.mediafire.com/?1566w96fx4x1gvv
Thanks to:
evilkal for the full circle battery images
atticus182 for the htc reflective soft keys
EnixLHQ for the tutorial on making this happen for me
Though I'd love to be able to swap images in and out for the newer guys, it's way too time consuming. Here are two very useful threads to help you with the process of changing images:
mrvirginia's Battery Collection thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1431618
atticus182's Softkey Collection thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1413582
Both threads feature many different looks for the battery and softkey mods. Read through them to get an understanding of how to DIY, so you won't need to wait for me

I don't mean to be a ****. But you may wanna give credits to EvilKal for the battery mod. I know for a fact alot of effort went into creating that battery mod.
Great job though

Of course. All credit to him for the creation of the images. I'm just using his work. This thread is about the the xml mods more than the battery icons, but I'll add him to the op. Thanks

Sure. Just PM me with the questions.

Nice thanks to the original work and yours. Is this the exact same battery that came in previous builds of Exodus theme, but ICS blue? I see your screenshot, but that is the battery charging. Is it the same font numbers when not charging as the Exodus battery? Are the numbers in ICS blue as well?

I'm not sure which theme you're referring to. The battery images are created by evilkal. I helped him by changing the original color (all white) to ics blue. The numbers are blue as well and the circle turns red from 10 percent down to 0

I'm not sure if this thread is confusing, so I'll clarify. All I'm sharing is the 0-100 percent battery mod. The images that are included in the zip are the ones I personally favor. All images can be swapped out to the users preference. I just pulled my SystemUI and shared it, as there are too many variations of soft keys and battery images. I'm in no way claiming the images as my own work, just the XML edits

Thats looks very cool, but it's doesn't work on AOKP b20 GSM Version.
It does not change the stock battery icon just. And the feature any longer to press a toggle to get into the setting does not work.

I opened the zip and don't see any battery images 1-100% in the \system\app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-xhdpi\ shouldn't they be in there?
I'm a noob at this so forgive me if I'm way off base

Disclaimer: This version of Sensation 3 has been built specifically for DARKSIDE DIGITAL WARFARE! If you flash this on any other rom, expect it to break something, or many things!...
UPDATE: I did NOT port this to DARKSIDE DIGITAL WARFARE 2.5.1... You can all thank foreverloco for handling the port. I only handled the following:
- Confirmed all looked well
- Added a color status bar version (XML edit, no big deal)
- Updated updater-script
That being said please note he is still learning to theme, so if you have any issues let either of us know... DO NOT ***** or COMPLAIN... Nandroid is your friend, use it!
All of you who wanted me to port and offered to donate, please do so... Only give it to foreverloco.. He took it upon himself to port, and he did so... Thats the sort of thing i love seeing in someone learning...
So for some reason i offered myself up as the person to port this theme! Notice i said port, as in the theme base is not mine! I take NO credit for the base theme itself, all credit goes to Crysis21 and his team! I only take credit for what I added or changed completely, and well the work in making this port happen... That being said, you gave give love to Crysis21 and his team here.
What does port mean? Well i dont need to tell you that (i hope). What i do need to tell you is that the port is from a completely different phone with a different screen resolution... So if you see something that doesnt look correct, maybe i missed it! Please let me know... Otherwise, it wont get fixed!
What the hell did you do Alexia?
See the change-log and the screen shots... Lots of good stuff!

No other massive things added atm... Theme is strong... So enjoy... More updates to come...
Sensation 3 v2 2.7.2012

No the battery itself isnt that hard to make... I cant use the one from the stock theme on Anarky as its green... Just, would look stupid... I will find time (as in not right now in this very moment) to make new battery images and do up the xml (xml for charging isnt the same)...
Would the theme battery with larger text work?

Admire the effort taking for this but when I use it on 4.0.1 AR it tends to screw up and I lose my notification bar and softkeys. Good thing I have a backup of System.apk. Usually a deodexed SystemUI shouldn't have this issue. Am I missing something?

I've decompiled my SystemUI.apk, replaced all of the tw_quick_panel_icon_* files in drawable-xhdpi and recompiled fine -- but the changes aren't showing on the device. I changed the icon colors from green to blue, yet they're always green. I even re-pulled the modified SystemUI.apk, decompiled, and verified that the images are in fact blue.
I'm obviously doing something wrong.. but what? I've changed icons in the status bar with no problem, but this quick panel is kicking my butt!

i have a question. i've been stumped on this for a while. i'm looking to change the color of the date in our extended statusbar. it's not being controlled by the line found in tw_status_bar_expanded.xml. Shane suggested to me that it might be in colors.xml in framework-res but it doesn't appear to be here, either.
here's what i'm referring to circled in red. pretty sure i've figured out how to make the date appear as, in this case, Aug 1, 2012. just no clue on changing the color

i was thinking this as well haha so i went poking around in there looking for a color string and still couldn't find anything. it is driving me nuts, esp since i've been able to do so much on my own. it's just the one thing i can't seem to find. i have some time on my hands so i might go through the smali file line by line basically just to double check that i'm not missing something.
edit: also, NunHugger, would you mind asking a mod to merge this with the main theme question/info thread? thank you!
edit: the smali color code for the white would be 0xffffff and i'm not seeing it anywhere
I would like to know how to remove the stock battery from the status bar on triunefather?

I think that's nun's baby so he could probably tell you. Are you just wanting to replace the battery mod with another one? or completely remove it?

But hard at all. However the stock feel is just that...stock. The easiest way would be to pull the battery images from the the original zip. However, you will only want to add the images that are in the stock feel zip....hopefully that makes sense.

It takes a very good translator to get that but I did it!
I extracted both tribune and tribe father systemUI apk..decompiled them.. Exchanged all the battery png..
Recompile, then I overwrite the systemUI in my phone.... Yes it frozed and I had to reboot... But it worked perfectly!
Now I have triune father with only the battery bar

Right on! Good job.
Once I get the third "theme" finished. I am going to start focusing on options for each. Hopefully I can get someone to jump on board and help. We shall see.

[MOD][UNIVERSAL] BLACKED OUT Menus + optional extras for 4.2 (UPDATED 12/20/12)

I noticed there was a lack of patches that black out the menus for 4.2 because google switched from png to xml files for the menu backgrounds so I made a patch that patches the xml in framework-res. This is universal and should work in any 4.2/4.2.1 and any future version. Just install metamorph or zipthemer and apply the theme.

This should work. I haven't tested it so make a nandroid if your worried but I see reason why it won't work. It used this script for other patches with no problem. let me know if it works and I'll add it to the OP.

Updated the mod so that its actually completely black. I had to switch the background object from a gradient to a solid in the xml as the gradient setting actually used a really dark grey even though I set it to black.

I will upload a blacked out notification drawer mod later today.
Heres two teaser screenshots for the mod.

Awesome! Thanks for this - it bugged me so much in 4.2 that here i was decompiling framework-res and editing the .xml - 'cause i didn't know that Zipthemer could replace .xml files - i thought it only did graphics!
Big thanks for not only making my life easier... but teaching me something new!

Yeah the secret is to decompile and then make your changes and then recompile. Then use 7-zip to take the compiled xml file out of the new apk. You can then put that into a zipthemer/metamorph file.

Oh ya. Perfectly. Thanks again. Love it. I run mmuzzy and it is stock hence no theme chooser. So this is the next best thing to customize the appearance of the ui. I use icons from the deviant art sight, battery and soft key mods and this. It works out well. And oh ya the zooper widget from market. Pretty cool customizable widget. Lock screen compatible.

Yup, No problem. I like simple mods like this and things that don't change the ui too much. I personally run cm10 jellybro at the moment. I just feel that too many themechooser themes go overboard and add a million custom icons that a lot of the times look crappy.

Added transparent sense dock bar.
Added Transparent Blinkfeed Clock and App Drawer Background.
Added T-Mobile Themed Icons

If you want to use the at&t themed icons in your own mod, rom etc, please feel free to do so.
good job bro..keep it up :good:
These are awesome. But is there any way these could be combined with a battery pct mod, flashing this overwrites any battery pct mid, and vice versa. Tried to combine them on my own but couldn't figure out how.

Sorry I can't test it since I don't have my device yet, but since my previous zip was flashed without problems then I don't see why this new one should.

You're welcome buddy
These work awesome, but one thing I've found, is that on the 10 intervals, 100,90,80,70 etc, the blueness of the battery disappears, and a full green battery shows. I'm at 63, at 60 I'll screenshot it.
Here's 20%

My bad lol. I should've looked at the icons carefully before slapping them in the apk in a rush XD.

My bad, lol, I had already posted them on the AT&T forum, but I'd gladly post them here as well
Apparently the inandout icons were left on a static ripple animation (that was my fault, sorry ) but I've fixed the files and fixed the battery icons from changing to green at 10% intervals.
There are 2 flashable zips. Regular and Centered.
Have fun guys Any input is more than welcomed.

It should be safe, but just to make sure, do a backup of your system or at the very least have a backup of your SystemUI.apk file I really don't think there will be a problem, but you know, to make sure.
