I have 2.3.6 Asia stock rom. After I installed MyFitness Pal application from market, which declared from the beginning that accesses wireless and network connectivity, I get an error sometimes when try to power on wifi or Bluetooth. What did that app change? Where is the driver located in the Android system and how can I change it back?

Aren't you using GioPro v1.4?
If so that's not because of app, it's because there is a bug in this ROM.
If you are using custom ROM try to reinstall it or to install another one.
Stock rom. No such problems before that app. If i can't repair i will reinstall of course.

Problem solved. The phone went completely erratic: random dialing, handsfree activation, call ending and i begun unninstalling, MyFitnessPal (installed secont time just to check if it cause the problems) first of course, but some other less usefull app as well. So far everything is good.
i have to issue an warning about that app, unless it is very incompatible with my Gio.

So few days ago my evo started not allowing me to update some apps, and some new apps won't install at all. Funny thing is other ones will.like my calculator app won't update, yet some other apps will.Only thing I get is notice saying, unable to install, and no other info.I havent changed anything, and I'm running a completly stock 2.2 system.so I'm clueless about what's going on.

Mine is doing the same. I'm not even able to connect to the app market. Says network error. WTF?

My phone wont connect to the market in 3g I can still browse and watch sprint tv in 3g though. I can only connect to the market and and can only sync in 4g. I rooted using the 2.2 guide
I am also running a complete stock 2.2

I'm still able to get on to the market, and dl, then it fails.

Try going to settings, applications manage, them go to market. Clear cache, force stop and try again. Mine was doing the same but this fixed it.

There is a bug with the market and google voice interfering with eachother, they both must be logged in to work.
Just open google voice and make sure it is logged in, if it already is log it out and then back in. Should work afterwards.
So I have tried what ppl have posted but no luck. Any more ideas?

I just fixed my friend's Droid X that was doing the same thing. Turns out he had deleted Google Talk. If you did then you need to reinstall it using root explorer, find a download of the .apk off the internet, copy it from sdcard/downloads, go to system/apps, click the little button at the top that says mount r/w, and paste. Run the installer and reboot the phone.
Still no luck, and what is the google talk? I don't have an app. Like that

still looking for a fix, any one have a guide to some common fixs.
Same Problem but can't seem to fix it without flashing a custom ROM...
I can't install most updates to apps or new applications. It usually says "update unsuccessful" or "installation error: unknown reason -18." Any ideas?
For some reason, randomly my mobile data will turn off. Luckily, I threw a widget on another page. I have to turn it off then back on to get it to connect again. Minor annoyance.
The other issue is after using the new browser since Friday GB release. It works fine for awhile, then it acts up. It will no longer stay open, acting like a memory free-up is kicking it off. I will open it, it will load google as the homepage, and immediately kill the app. No task killers or any of that garbage. To fix, it needs a full reboot. Any way I could do a bug monitoring on the phone?
Rooted. I used the manual rooted 2.3.3 odexed stock rom that was here, and flashed the radios all using clockwork.

Wiping the browser data fixed it. Not sure what happened.

same here
i'm having the same issue with the stock browser on my unrooted evo 4g. the app opens, and just before my homepage (google.com) fully loads, the app crashes. rebooting did not solve the problem for me. i'm not sure how to wipe the browser data. any suggestions?
thanks in advance.
Menu -> settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> internet -> clear data.
You WILL lose all bookmarks, passwords, history, etc etc.

Is anybody else having major problems with the facebook app? I know some people left reviews saying they have been messing up updates etc. My mom has no problems with her phone so I'm just curious if it could be related to the xplay.

Only on CM7.2...
Every time I reboot all my from Facebook synced contactpictures are deleted. But on strock everything works fine. I think it's not the xplays fault, I think the problems are belonging to the software
Can you give more details about your problems?
Sry for my English.
Most of the time I'm not on wifi nothing loads. I'd have full 3g service and it says connection lost. It may be the apps problems, but again, my mom has no problems at all. Stock 2.3.4, and np about the english.

But your able to show pages in your browser?
My Facebookapp is very slow on mobile internet, too, and sometimes i get the same error but after clicking on try again it works.
Maybe you can try an app like Fast for Facebook (search on Google Play, i can't post a link :/ )...
I need Skype running all the time, however I often forget to restart it after a reboot. I am hoping someone can show me a way to autostart an application on JB. My phone is fully rooted with custom recovery. I'd rather edit the startup file than have to download an app (if such a solution is possible on android). An app called Skype Boot on the play store works only 50% of the time.
Thanks in advance
Try adding it via rom toolbox.

I tried that, but all I can seem to do is autostart or disable Skype 'receivers' (I'm not sure what those are). By default the Skype receivers were autostarting anyway.
Try tasker.

Anyone encounter the error message "Unfortunately, Home has stopped" after upgrading to Lollipop on D855?
Pop up comes all the time or just once?
I wouldn't say all the time, but random times, when I go back to home screen with the back button on WhatsApp.
I have done a factory reset of my phone, the issue still persists.
Sent from my Nexus 9 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes I have the same problem. It does not pop out often, maybe a few times a week.
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
It happens when I use WhatsApp. I used it very often so it happens very often for me haha. Well I guess it is just the launcher being buggy.
The same issue here, I noticed that it often happens when I close whatsapp.
Now I'm on D855-20i and still presets .. I removed all widgets. I noticed a little bit improvement .. But this bug still here
I think this problem is related to the memory leak that everyone talks about.

Yes, I get the "Unfortunately, Home has stopped" error intermittently since updating to lollipop, v20c is still the latest for my D855.
Pressing home or back does it, but difficult to reproduce consistently.
In searching I have not found a solution, doing a full reset doesn't work either.
The only way I have found to stop the error is to use another Launcher as a workaround.
I'm on 20F and I've never seen this.
When I check for OS updates it still says v20c is the latest for my variant, so maybe its fixed in v20f.
Im not prepared to root and load a different rom to fix it, since ive found from past experience it breaks something else.

i somehow believe that this kind of problem often happen in the 2gb version,
due to the huge amount of ram that lg stock launcher use
I have the 32GB/3GB Ram version and it still happens.
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
Just use another launcher. I switched to nova launcher after I found there is no way to get rid of the issue. Now it never happened again.
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
Yep, I did the same, although I keep trying different launchers to see which one a like the best.
The only problem then is you can't use some of the built in widgets on another launcher, like the weather, calendar and exchange mail.
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
I, too, am experiencing this problem. Running on V20H. :3
I wonder if it's fixed in the latest stock v20i for D855?
As this is downloadable and I would risk flashing it if I knew it was fixed.
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
Use some other widgets to replace the stock ones. I use Google calendar, weather and clock widget, and I do not use any email widget. Everything works well for me.
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
the problem is still unfixed on v20p D855...
did anybody find a solution other than switching launcher or widgets?
Uninstalled WhatsApp and issue is RESOLVED!!!
