Preferably with a short cable so that I don't trip myself up and I can use my own earphones with. I have the Belkin ipod remote but it's poor quality and fragile but the length is very short which means I don't have something the length of a skipping rope with me.
What are you people using?

I'm hoping someone more technical than me will be able to help.
I've added an adapter to my car stereo that basically adds an auxiliary input. I plug my Fuze into the auxiliary input using the adapter that came with the Fuze, and listen to mp3's through the car stereo. This works well, but I don't really like having the adapter and cable always hanging from the phone.
I have a wired bluethooth headset that I don't use, similar to this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875982140
So it's basically a bluetooth dongle with earbuds and a mic wired to it. I was wondering if I clip off the earbuds, and splice those wires into a cable with a headphone jack, then plug the jack into the auxiliary input, will this work for playing music over bluetooth throught the car stereo?
Yep, this works! But depending on the BT-profile you will get bad audio quality with mono-sound...
I guess you get better sound if using bluetooth-stereo headphones. They should have the A2DP-profile!
Hi,
I plan on using my desire in the car and playing music through my car stereo's aux input. But I dont really want to be picking up the phone to skip forward and back through tracks. The headset that ships with the phone has great inline controls that work with spotify. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a company that makes a cable that has a 3.5mm jack at both ends (i.e. one end into the phone, the other into the car stereo) but also has inline controls. I could then find a way of mounting the inline control somewhere on the dash.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Paddy
I have done this in the past by cutting the headphone ends off a cable and then soldering this to a 3.5mm jack plug available from electronics shops etc, not too much of a job to do, but will prob mean you have to find another htc headset with the controls if you want to keep your original headset
Haven't seen this no, but it should be easy to fix.
Either just solder the cable yourself, or just buy a 3,5 to 3,5 cable and insert it. Should solve your issues. Just ordered the Griffin SmartTalk which has inline controls and a 3,5mm jack output myself, it had good reviews for the iPhone and should work well with the my Desire aswell.

Let us know how you get on with it please.
I have an Evo and a stock car stereo ('08 f150). How can I play music and stream Pandora from the Evo through the car stereo wirelessly? Is there a product I can buy to hook up to the car stereo? Bluetooth?
Thanks
buy an fm transmitter. it plugs into the headphone jack and transmits to a freq on your radio.
Some models of that year had it, but if it has a 3.5mm headphone jack, you can switch your radio to aux and then plug in to the evo and play that way. Or buy a cassette player adapter with the headphone jack and do the same thing, if you have a cassette player.
You can do what others have stated and or you can buy a bluetooth car stereo and sync your EVO to it.

Any of the ways the other guys said will work great, especially like teh roxx said, if your stereo has a 3.5mm input auxillary port. Thats the easiest. Here is a link to a product that i heard works well, but haven't tried it. I was planning on buying it for my company work van, but then I got laid off, (damnit!), so have no more work van! I am curious about this product though, it looks decent.

I am looking for a Pogo Case that would have the HOX snap in nicely with the audio output(RCA or 3.5mm jack) that I can connect it my car/home audio system. Of course the case should also provide the charging as well.
In this way(car mode), I can listen to my mp3 collection on my HOX and answer call with it through my car audio system. Most of the case/cradle available only offer charging but no audio out.
Of course, I can use the 3.5mm jack connected to the headphone hole on the HOX and then connect the USB in car charger but this would not be convenience. Imagine if you could have the convenience of snap the HOX into a case and all are set for you.
Please do share the link if someone have come across this case...

Not really. With this you would have to manual plug in the headphone jack which defeat the main purpose and it can't connect to my car audio system. That why I chose Pogo. But thanks anyway for sharing...
Hey everyone, I've been searching for a cheaper alternative to the expensive desktop dock samsung sells. It will mostly be used as a clean audio out for speakers and headphones, charging and sync would be a plus. Does anyone know of a good alternative out there? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
im no pro at this, but it seems like the best kinda thing is gonna have to use the 3 mm audio jack as a trick to do it.
as an example, if you ebay "Loud Stereo Dock Station Speaker for iPod iPhone 3G/4 4S MP3 Android Phone 3.5MM"
I have a digital AV Receiver with HDMI inputs and bought the HDMI dock from Samsung for less then 15€. The digital audio signal via HDMI can be used even without video output.

Yea that's basically what I'm looking for, a dock with 3.5mm audio out and has the ability to charge + sync would be nice. I actually found a cheap 10$ one on ebay and a 30$ one on amazon from samsung themselves which isn't too bad, both that claim to do just that, so we'll see. I would post links but the forum wont let me until l I have 10 posts. Apparently there's an app that will allow me to use the usb audio out function straight from the phone which would be awesome, then I can bring in a DAC and amp into the mix.

Yea I thought of that as well, and I may get one of those too to hook up to my hdtv but as for speakers and headphones the 3.5mm audio out would be key
