Thought I would share this with you all. Purchased this OTG USB cable for my Motorola XOOM so that I could connect my camera and usb flash drives to it.
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005QX7KYU
Ordered it from Amazon for only $2.25 with free shipping. I ordered it Monday (1/16) and got it today (1/21) and it shipped from CA to MA.
I also like the right-angle fit connector that plugs into the XOOM. It puts my mind at ease as from accidentally breaking the port (as could happen with straight connectors).
EDIT: Just in case you're curious, the build quality is pretty good! Only time will tell on its durability, but for less than $3, I couldn't pass it up.
you try a drive yet?
does it block other ports
thx
Ordered, same price as you paid.. Can't wait to get it. Thanks for the great tip, and it came right as I got 3 1tb Toshiba usb drives formatted in ntfs AND eos just added ntfs write support to ICS.. Woot woot

The picture shows that it is angled to the left so it shouldn't cover other ports so long as the pictures are accurate.. Should work with my otterbox but if not I'll post back when I get it.
Thanks I search for it here in Egypt
but didn't found it
I think I will buy Male to Famale USB and connect it with Micro-USB Cable ..

Hi,
Just wondering if the adapters that fit the S2 for USB-OTG and MHL work with the Note? It would be interesting to see what resolution would appear on a TV screen with the MHL adapter
They work - MHL out at 720p from Shadowgun shown in this video (forward to 05:53):
Do you have to root your phone to use the MHL MicroUSB adapter??

I don't think so, otherwise why would samsung sell them
---------- Post added at 03:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:25 PM ----------
Speaking of MHL, which adapter do people recommend getting. The ones of dealextreme look ok at around $16, but the official one costs a fair bit more. Any reason I should go for the official one?

No - you have to root to run chain3d to run tegra games.

I can confirm that the MHL-adapter for SGS2 (made by Samsung) works great with the Note.

Nice, I just bought on monoprice with some random microUSB cables. I got two, they were $13.50USD each.
Hi,
Could someone tell me what the small black cable is that is connected to the right of the battery? On a laptop, this would look like the cables that connect to the wifi card. It is around 2.5" long and has pop connectors on it.
I need a replacement for this, would it be possible do you know?

This is the antenna cable. I took my phone apart and broke the connector to the bottom board where it connects and had to replace the board.

Just google search for HTC one x coaxial antenna cable
Hello people, I just want to share my new USB OTG mod. My aim is to have a smaller size mini USB OTG for my Moto G. Since I cannot find any in the market, i decided to just make some modifications.
As a result, I got 3cm USB.
See attached images.
Good idea. I just got a Moto G couple weeks ago, already purchased the short 90 degree OTG cables (one with external power connector). Looking to get the Small Sandisk FIT (maybe 32Gb or 64Gb size).
Sandisk should make an OTG version with only the microUSB connector. It could then only stick out a small amount.

If you want something with just the microUSB connector, you can always get a Meenova
I just ordered a meenova yesterday, looks like a great little device. I also spotted something similar in target last night. I forget the brand, but it was about 1.5 inches and was micro usb on one side and usb on the other with 16GB of storage for $19.99

That's good idea.Thanks anyway.I'll try it.
In case anyone was wondering all the standard hubs and adapters made for USB-C laptops also function flawlessly on the V20!
As an example I'm using the Satechi 2-port hub with HDMI and USB-C charging passthrough, I connect the HDMI, a USB to Ethernet adapter and another hub for keyboard and mouse and it works flawlessly! Other hubs work too! I've tried half a dozen or so various adapters and hubs made for Apple laptops and other high end portables.
May I ask which one you purchased?

Ooh! Does the HDMI work well?

Yes the HDMI works great, it says 30hz for the adapter but the TVs I've used it with go register it as 1080p 60hz. I use it to play games with my wireless gamepad when I'm outside my home at another person's home and there's no latency and looks crisp.
Hi. Does it work on stock ROM, unrooted ?

Yes, HDMI works on the stock ROM unrooted. I have a USB -C hub connected to my projector, with usb keyboard, mouse, and external harddrive (via a powered USB hub). It's basically my computer (I don't own a computer or laptop).
It works far better than my old LG G3 did using a Slimport.

It does! I am using it with stock unrooted. I have my phone hooked up to my projector via HDMI, my charger, and a powered USB hub that is further connected to an external hard drive, keyboard and mouse. Basically, it's my sole computer.
Here is a condition:
Your USB C charger must have 9V PD and 5V PD, and you're good to go.
V20 supports PD (5V and 9V)

Just curious as to why this is a condition? The V20 is confirmed to support Qualcomm Quick Charge.
While there have been reports it also supports Power Delivery (PD), I don't think I've seen anything official on this.
That being said I have seen some reports that state the Pixel PD chargers worked even better than some QC ones.
However I don't see why you are stating that PD is a "condition" you must have?
I have plugged in my V20 to a USB-C laptop charger with PD and it worked normally.

Lolnice reminds me of my Optimus 2x speed days. I did win7 with hdmi out on it using citrix on the university campus network. Tech desk was like damn this boy is living in 2018 XD
I have the UGREEN's Type-C 8-in-1 hub with PD port which I use with my HP Elite X2 1012 tablet. It doesn't work on my V20 and strange enough, my V20's USB port loses its functionality until I restart the phone.
You can check its info here: https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Multiport-Adapter-Ethernet-Chromebook/dp/B076WX4FP8
I have seen the samsung dex pads(first gen) working with the phone, look like a good pick as you have the added bonus of having a fan in the dock

I have this hub. The HDMI out works great, but I simply cannot get it to charge via the hub. What charger are you using? In this thread, someone has posted that a 5V to 9V PD is necessary. As I search for such chargers on the web, the PD chargers only have ratings in watts? I love the hub other than it will not charge.
Got these anker headphones.
surprisingly good! good distance. good sound. small and light. has aptX and up to 7 hours of play time. blocks out a good amount of outside noise too. best of all is the price!

also using some Amazon basics USB-A to C cables that work for charging and data transfer
Anker powerline+ works as well for charging and data transfer
but this Amazon cable DOES NOT work for data transfer.

Have you tried the cable in an USB2.0 port? There seems to be a general problem when connecting the Pixel2 via USB3.0 cable and port. Using 3.0 cable in a 2.0 port works. I can confirm this for my Syncwire cable.

thanks, well seems like i'm out of luck for the time being with that one amazon cable.
I ordered the anker cables in my original post afterwards and they work no problem
these headphones I mentioned in the original post are now on sale with code LGVDRPV3 !
Earbuds recommendation under 50$?
the earbuds I mentioned in the original post are on sale with code ANKER411
Thanks for this. Just got my Pixel 2 last week and going on an overseas trip next week. These will def help on the plane ride.
awesome! yea I def use them for travel and gym
Pixel 2 supports also better codec: Sony's LDAC (Every phone from Android 8 should provide this codec). I dont know if there are some cheap headphones with this codec but it is good to mention that.
