I have read that before..are really that good ?
Whats the different between a 1550 mAh Mugen Power battery for 30$ and a random 1550 mAh battery from eBay for 10$?
some ebay sellers sells unbranded or fake batteries (would say 1800mah but is actually 1300 etc..), usually with no return/exchange policies specially the cheap ones like 3 pcs for 10$.
mugen pretty much you get what you pay for.
Man that's nice
I don't have issues with the stuff I got from them. I saw on their facebook page that they change the batteries if they're working...which is good and they have 1 year warranty on stuff. So far I'm going with them. Got 2 days on average usage on my Nexus
looks like I found the answer to my question. will check them out, thanks!

Personally for me the big difference is their brand presence across all available customer service channels (twitter, facebook, email, phone etc...) and high quality. I'm using my 4th battery from Mugen at the moment and totally happy with it and with their service.
Also I received a reply from their rep that actually makes sense - they say that their price allows them to give all the listed services to the customers, and it is simply not possible to make a good battery for 10$ using top technology and aftersales support.
Anyways, there's many info here about them, you can research a little.
While it would be nice to have an extended battery, I wouldn't want to make that change because it would make my phone heavier and clunkier with the extended battery backdoor. Another big downside is that my case wouldn't fit anymore. To solve my own battery-life issues I keep a Duracell Powerhouse with me when I know that I'm going to need extra juice.

You can always choose a slim extended battery that fits your original phone socket and does not require an extra back.

I have heard that the "extended batteries" that are the same size as stock are counterfeit in the sense that they don't actually offer more capacity. Lots of scams and shady companies around extended batteries...
It's 'Moogin' baby. Seriously, this is just a name tag being placed on the battery. It looks too ugly for me to put it on my Skyrocket.
will check them out, thanks!
Mugen Power batteries are great if you can afford the entrance fee. Yeah, it's not some cheap knockoff from Ebay, but the quality and battery life is worth it. I recommend them. Here's a review I did of the extended batteries on the T-Mobile G2 if anyone's interested

Plus one for Mugen from my side. I've been recommending them for quite a long time now. Some experience to share: ordered a battery from them a month ago and nothing got delivered. I contacted them on facebook, and it turned out that the post lost my parcel...I was a little nervous cuz there was more than 150$ in it, but Mugen replaced all of it in a matter of days. Not just great batteries but awesome support as well.
Very good battery. Works flawlessly.
are mugen batteries available in india?
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com is shipping to India
Hi everyone this my first post.
I am lover of XDA community. I have followed this site since my HTC Touch Diamond, then the Touch Diamond 2 and lastly the HD2. Phenomenal phones awesome build quality and custom rom's courtesy of the community. But what awful battery life. I have always had the battery issue as a heavy user and always resorting to the chunky extended batteries. Ugly i know.
Now i have an unbelievable phone i always thought that the HD2 had an amazing screen but the Galaxy Nexus is amazing but again after a few hours of use DEAD!!!
Here we go again.......
on my scan through EBAY i found this
Ebay Item number: 260948677892 (just copy into ebay search)
sounds like a bargain to me!!!
but is it for real or just a label change?
please help hate the extended battery make my beautiful phones look ugly!!!erghhh
Thanks in advance
I'm not sure about those particular batteries but I do know that Samsung makes a 2500mAh battery for the Galaxy Nexus. It is no thicker than the standard battery so it adds no thickness to the phone.
Verizon has them for about $50 each. I just got my Nexus and Verizon has a deal going where I can get one for 1/2 off. I am going to take them up on that very soon.

Those are 2000mah (2100 for the Verizon version), not 2500.

No it's not a real Samsung branded battery.
There is also no NFC in it.
It's just some knockoff cheap ass Chinese/Hong Kong battery that will be no where near 2500mah, and will probably bulge or blowup.
so any ebay battery that say it is over the orginal size..will be not real?
as i was planing to buy one..
i found 1800, 1850, 1900 , 2100 and 2300 from UK shop.
so what to buy?

it's very likely that none of those have more capacity than the stock battery. usually their claims are 20-30% over the actual capacity.
why?
it cannnot be they increac the cells inside the battery?
as for thr stokc they will try to minimize the cost
and i saw there is orginal 2000mah battery with changing back door in ebay
that will cost 50$
so what to do?
Hi Everyone,
I need help in finding out where can I get the extended battery for my Galaxy Note in India, which should fit in the mobile without changing the original back cover. More over I need to find this battery specifically in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.
I have gone through the other threads regarding batteries for Galaxy Note, and many have posted the links of Amazon and eBay etc etc showing how many different varieties of Extended batteries we have for Galaxy Note. But I need a battery that is more than 2500 mAp, and should fit with the same back cover given with Note without making it bulky, as the mobile is large sized already
Please do post link where I can buy such battery.
Thanks in advance.

Moon is correct. The only one you'll find with a higher mah rating of stock size that is reliable is the 2700mah battery from Anker. All others require a change in back cover. I have the Mugen 5400mah battery and yes there is a lot more bulk, for the extra juice it's well worth it. At the end of the day you have to make a choice. What's more important, device size or battery capacity?

Ofcourse the battery life is more important to me rather than size. But for a second, to think that i have to carry this Galaxy Note whcih is already BIG, and if that becomes bulky too, then i really have to buy trousers with huge pockets. Anyway, if at all i really get the mugen 5400mAp battery, i will surely buy it. But we dont get mugen in India

Can i put battery of galaxy note in my galaxy s2?
I mean is the size n dinension same to fit into sgs2?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
In a word no. The galaxy note battery is too big to fit in the s2 otherwise you'd have companies selling universal batteries that would fit in multiple devices.

Does anyone use this battery?
Does anyone use this battery from batterybay....Its is pretty cheap for a 5000 mAp battery...If anyone is using it, do let us know how's it performing?
http://www.batterybay.net/Battery-for-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-p/samsung -cs-smn700hl.htm
the link seems to be broken.
S4:
Phone dimensions 136.6mm x 69.8mm x 7.9mm (slightly smaller & thinner, extremely similar to S3)
Battery 9.88Whr (~20% larger capacity than S3)
S3:
Phone dimensions 136.6mm x 70.6mm 8.6mm
Battery 7.98Whr
Anyone on Sprint for a few years probably knows the SGS2 (Epic Touch) battery was able to be installed into the SGS1 (Epic) with stock battery door and all for a nice 20% boost in battery life while keeping the OEM battery door.
So the question you should be asking yourself is, will the S4 battery be a drop in replacement into the S3? And how long until a reviewer/blogger tries this out and lets the world know?
I just compared a pic of the S4 to my S3 and it looks like the S4 battery is wider than the S3. Link to Pic: http://images.anandtech.com/doci/6832/DSC_9896.jpg

it can't be, otherwise samsung will not sell the extended battery for the S3... Samsung is smart enough to think of that...

Yeah, too bad its $50 and won't even fit under the standard battery door. When I had the S1 I upgraded to the S2 battery for about $12 shipped for an OEM S2 battery - not to mention a lot of folks walked into a Sprint store and got a S2 battery free of charge to put in their S1.
Just no bang for the buck here for $50 asking price.
Me too I think the oem extended battery is overpiced. I have x2 extra oem batteries for S3 here and I'm thiunking of modding them just like here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800177 but the problem is I can't find a nice looking cover... I hate ugly! LOL
