Hey everyone, I recently purchased the otter box commuter for the i9250 and the Samsung extended 2000mah battery from eBay that goes for around 50 bucks with the extended battery cover. Does anyone know if the two will fit together? Thanks
I know the 2100mah battery works with the otter box defender series with my Nexus. Don't know for sure. If its 2 piece case front and back then probably. Any other 2 piece case or 1 piece most likely not.

I have the commuter and extended battery for my i515 and they fit fine, so I assume the GSM version would be similar

Does this work with the 2100 mAh extended battery? I want to get an otterbox case ASAP but I dont know if this fits with my battery.
General thoughts on the otterbox case for this phone?
Yes.

yes it does. I am using the extended battery I bought through verizon with included battery cover. Otterbox commuter fits well.
I'm not sure why you are saying if it works with one it won't work "well" with the other. I have both batteries and have tried the case out with both. there is no loose fitmenet. everything is snug. Seriously, are we talking about millimeters worth of differences?
The way the case works is that it is first a "silicone type" case that wraps around it. then it fits into a plastic (or whatever it is) outer shell. Everything is very tight. Before saying something is or is not a good case, you should try it.
Welcome.
At the beginning I wanted to apologize for my bad English .
But to the point ....
I wanted to buy plus a 3800 mAh battery for my Galaxy Nexus (GSM), but I have a problem with the selection of the cover.
All cases do not provide for the use of such a large battery.
Only Seidio has to offer such cases, but they are quite expensive.
And here I wanted to advise you - do you know of any other inventions that could hold the battery?
I mean mostly about something that can be clipped to a belt and I would prefer if it was not the case rather holster.
Thanks in advance for your help!
been looking for the same man, only thing i've been able to find is this
you can type in Black Trexcell Samsung Galaxy Nexus Extended Battery Thermoplastic TPU Case on ebay.
nothing with a belt clip yet
Thank you.
I saw this cover.
I was wondering to buy a 3800 battery, cover case from Traxcell, and buy the Seidio holster.
Thanks to always save a little, but I'm not 100% sure that these parts will fit together.
Just bought an extended battery for Galaxy S3, and haven't been able to find a case that fits my phone.
Anyone know of any manufacturers that make such a case?

Check eBay. That is were I found mine
This one was recommended for the Hyperion 4200 mAh extended battery.

I'm looking for a flip cover style case. The only thing that looks close is this:

There's this one http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...r=8-7&keywords=Galaxy+S3+extended+battery+tpu
And here's the one I have for my QCell 4200mah http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Extended-HoneyComb-Packaging-Compatible/dp/B008MMZUZS/ref=pd_cp_cps_0
Anyone have this case http://www.tridentcase.com/shop-products/samsung-galaxy-nexus/aegis-case-samsung-galaxy-nexus.aspx and/or know if it will fit a 3800 mAh extended battery. I know the seidio cases work fine but I love trident cases and want to use an extended battery.
Thanks
I have this case and it fits my Sprint gnex with 2100mah extended battery well but I don't think it could fit anything much thicker than that.

The Seidio extended Convert Combo works quite well with the GNex and a3800 mah battery (I have the Hyperion).

I used that case on my evo 3d. It was nice, but the hard plastic outer shell was kind of slippery. I had to scuff it with some sand paper, to give it some grip. It was also a pain to put on. Since the n4 doesn't have a removable battery/storage, you won't need to take it on/off much, so it should be a good case.
Edit : I thought I was in the n4 forum when I posted this... I don't think I would get this case for any phone with a removable back plate

i have seen extended batteries that were the same size as the stock battery. they didnt require an extended cover or case. are there any for the verizon galaxy nexus. i have an otterbox defender so as long as i can still use it. unless there is a better battery & case combo i should use instead. i would like a very long lasting battery like the 3800 ones but only with a good case too.
No 3800mah battery will fit in the same profile as the original.
ya i know the 3800mah ones wont be the same size, but are there any cases for a nexus that has a 3800mah battery. what is the highest mah i can get thats the same size.
The best batteries will always be OEM batteries since they are usually the highest quality. The 2100mah Samsung extended battery is virtually identical but with it's own (non curved) battery cover but is otherwise identical.
okay so i can get a 2100mah and still use my otterbox case. if i get a battery thats bigger are there any good cases for a nexus with an extended battery.
If you want a big battery and a nice case, look at seidio products. They make a 3800 mAh and a few cases for it. I think the convert would be the closest to an otterbox case.

Verizon has a 2100mAh. It can work with most cases except the slim fit cases.
Although Ringke Slim makes one for the Verizon Extended battery.
