Hello, I have a problem with my Wildfire S, it have problem with SDHC class 4 cards. When I will use SDHC class 6 or 10 card it will work properly?? My friend have wildfire S, and he have the same problem.
I'm also running a class 4 MicroSDHC without issues. So what problem do you have?
Another person here without issues with Class Four 4 gig SDHC. Cheap Taiwan no name.
Got it from a busted camcorder that sat in the snow at a ski hill all winter and I found it in the spring.

What size is it?
There have been known issues with some 16 and a lot of 32 GB cards being too slow to respond in the phone and have mounting issues.

This ones got me a little confused.
Both my younger siblings have the Wildfire S that came with 2GB SD cards - these both work fine.
We've fitted 32GB cards into both the phones and my brother in particular repeatedly received the dreaded "SD Card unexpectedly removed".
Today, my Sister also claimed to have the same issue.
I've spoken to HTC who after several minutes of searching for an answer could only say they haven't tested 32GB cards with the HTC Wildfire S and that we'd need to test it with 16GB cards first.
Are HTC being straight with me by saying that the Wildfire can only support 16GB cards properly or is there something else at fault here?
Both cards were from bought at play.com.
Thanks.
I've got the same problem than you. And my SD card is only a 4Go one...
But, after a second try, it works.
I think it comes from the quality of the card (writing speed may be ?).
Format it first in the computer with fat32.
I've formatted the card as FAT32 already via my PC.
It's a 32GB Class 4.
and i have problems with my 32gb class 4 card.
if i connect with my pc, coming error.
have fotmat it with pc and with phone.
no any chance.
now i using a 16gb class 4

Class 4 for a 32gb is too slow, you need at least a class 6

You know you are about to get slammed with welcome back greetings right? Might as well start a general thread about it...Where's our overclockable kernel for 2.3.5 that you were off working on?

Sandisk 32Gb Class 4 seems to work for me
I've just swapped the Samsung 2Gb SDHC card that came with my Wildfire S for a 32Gb Class 4 Sandisk SDHC card that my wife's aunt bought me for Christmas.
I've not used it much, and I'm unlikely to press it with video, but it's played the music that I restored to it (from a backup of the 2Gb SDHC) and it still has 29.7Gb free for more music (one of the main reasons for getting the phone and asking auntie for a 32Gb SDHC card for Christmas)
i hv d same issue with all cards...then i tried class2 and voila....its workd...i previously tried class 4 4gb...nw i m running 8gb class 2 ...so i thnk it supports only class 2 or smthg else...i hv also installed sd speed increase

I live in China and I'm having some trouble to find a good microsd.
First thing, prices vary wildly, it might be because some are counterfeits and or lower speed (something about the class).
So does one go about buying a good microsd card?
Which class is faster?
Is branded better? How to make sure it's not a counterfeit?
I would order one online if you can. There are different classes for Micro SD cards. The higher the class, the faster the read/write speeds are. I believe the classes go as follows : 2, 4, 6, 10

I'm live in Silicon Valley in Northern California, home to SanDisk, Patriot, and other big makers of SD cards. I come across tons of real and fake SD cards all the time.
First thing I look for is the brand name. The packing that the SD card usually displayed the brand name as well as it's labeled on the SD card itself. Also, brands like SanDisk have the model number of each card on the packaging, which you can reference online prior to purchase.
I have a Patriot 16 GB Class 10 Micro SD card that I purchased from Amazon.com. - They have a policy against counterfeit items and you can get a refund if one is sold to you. Another website to look at to find good deals on SD cards is NewEgg.com.
Class 10 is the fastest and the most beneficial to devices like phones or high-speed digital SLR cameras. I suggest class 10 SD cards should you want to run programs right off from the card itself.
Hope this helps! Cheers!
I ordered a lexar 16gb class 6 from ebay and get 9.1 write/30.2 read speeds.Sandisk is the best brand but I haven't seen a class 6 by them. I paid 35$ for my Lexar

I just picked up a 16Gb, class 6 Kingston. I'm running my smartphone apps off it and it is WAY faster than the stock 8Gb, class 2 card that came with the phone.
sometimes the brand are affecting very much.. and also maybe you can try to buy in large store, so you can believe the seller, that it is not a fake one..
from the information, class 10 is the best (idk if this is real, since my class 10 card hasn't come), to find out if it was the right card and not a fake one, search in google on how to test a microSD card..

This is probably a massive noob question, when you install a new SD card, do you just copy and paste the content of the old one onto the new one or is there anything special that needs to be done?

The 64 GB Micro sd are coming!
I have a class 2, never tried anything faster so I wouldn't know the difference anyway, but it runs any program just fine.
I'm debating with myself whether or not if i should go with Lexar or PNY 32GB Class 10 SHDC.. how reliable is PNY with SDHC? Same question for Lexar..
PNY Class 10 32GB MicroSDHC for $41 free shipping..
Transcend, PNY, A-Data.. i'm finding decent deals varying from $30-$40. Which is most reliable would you guys say?
I have had a Class 10 32gb PNY for about 6months and have not had any issues. I would buy another one no questions asked. The read/write speeds were all on par with what a class 10 should be. My write test speeds were in the 12 to 14 range and my read speed was in the 20's. I have used any where from Class 2 to 6 on other brands without issues and the Class 10 PNY out performed them on bench tests.
Real world experience with writing large files ect... was faster. It really came down to price when I originally bought the PNY card and for the price and preformance it has been a great buy for me personally.
---------- Post added at 06:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:30 PM ----------
I have never had any MicroSD card fail on me. I have used PNY, Samsung, Sandisk, and even unbranded OEM cards that come with the phone. Personally never a single issue. I have had a thumb drive fail on me 5 years ago, but can't say it was the memory chip or something on the pcb board.

I have seen some of the Transcend and A-Data cards be a little thicker than the PNY, Samsung or Scandisk cards. They still all managed to fit in the MicroSD slot.

what do you think? stick with the PNY you suggested or do you think any one of these are a good bargain as well given the company.. i'm looking for who's more reliable i guess.. i don't really know. thank you in advance though.
Anyone got any intake on these microsdcards i'm taking a look at? can't make up my mind.. =/
I have seen between your posts some SD and micro SD cards. I would first pick the form.
Go with the microSD for cell phone and some tablets. Other tablets, cameras, video recorders use SD cards.
Pick up the best value and brand with one pick. The PNY did that for me and continues to be great. I have been taking it in and out of my phones so often the white letters are rubbing off. Still works prefer.

so im doing research on SD cards since ive never really gotten one i really had to pay for...
im starting to see class ratings and im wondering if 1 is better or 10 is better... so far i only see them go up to 10 and im guessing via the price that it would happen to be that the class 10 rating is the best...
but even then can anyone give there opinion to as what SD card to get that would be the fastest and the best. disregarding the price?
well, the higher the class the faster the reads/writes and mostly useful when coping large files..

10 Is best however 4 or 6 is all you need...most stock cards are 2s

you can't go wrong with any of them, both offers stability, reliability and speed.
whichever is the cheapest my lad, both pretty solid brands.
I use Samsung, happy with it. Not sure if this will help but.
Get whatever is cheaper. Both appear to be good cards based on the reviews. Keep in mind that most if not all phones will not be able to take advantage of the Ultra-High Speed (UHS) capabilities of the latest UHS-1 cards (50+MB/s read) as seen in jasvncnt1 SD Card Tester results. I get similar results with my Class 10 cards.
A while back, a lot of people were recommending the Sandisk 32GB Class 4 microSDHC cards over just about anyone elses regardless of class rating. While this may have been true back then, most manufacturers are now producing pretty decent memory. I've got a Sandisk 32GB Class 4 in my Fascinate, a PNY 32GB Class 10 in my Lenovo K1, and a G.SKILL 32GB Class 10 in my Galaxy S3 and have had no issues with any of these cards.
Come to think of it, the only card that I've had issues with is the Samsung 16GB Class 2 card that came with my Fascinate. After about about a year and a half, it became permanently write protected. I can still read from the card, but can no longer write to it.
Hope this helps.
Samsung.
I got that Samsung and its perfect. But would have gotten either one at the time...found the samsung locally at frys first and it was cheaper so it won...no issues what so ever
