How to fix the earphone problem in galaxy y custom roms :))

MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE ON STOCK ROM!
Download Kies for galaxy y: http://www.samsung.com/gr/consumer/mobile-phone/mobile-phone/smart-phones/GT-S5360UWAEUR-support
Install it
Then connect your phone to your pc
Open Kies and let it scan for your device
A window will pop up telling you that there is a new firmware version
Download it...
Let it install...
(DO NOT DISCONNECT THE USB CABLE OR YOU MIGHT END UP BRICKED)
Thats it!! You can now install your rom and your earphones wont have any problem!

Tried to do this but because I installed the creeds rom on my galaxy y I am unable to update via Kies... Odin would probably work but it seems impossible to find and load the needed files (especially for my German version)....
So I'll stuck on creeds without earphones at first but I'll try again later...

No no you have to do this on your stock rom.Thats how it worked for me

because there should be an update to 2.3.6 ... but kies seems to dont WANT to update my device and the phoneintegrated update search do not find any update... (in fact, in germany 2.3.6 should be available...)

yes you re right.....Try doing some research for the German version..

Sirs 2.3.5-2.3.6 doesnt mKe kies guranteed it just happend to me in the past. Best way is to flash to an older version of 2.3.6 ia odin and just update it there at kies hoped i helped

My phone can't update too after I installed Creed v2.1
I cant use ODIN as well. When I connect my phone in recovery mode, my pc cant recognize the drivers. Waaah. help pls.

In order to get the latest firmware/update your phone should be on the stock samsung rom

Mine is still working after creed installation.

On some people they do work on some dont.Anyway thanks for letting me know

hi,
i bought last week a samsun galaxy s3 and model sgh-i747 i got it with 4.0.4 stock rom.
i tried to upgrade it to 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 cm10.1 by alot of guids around the net and i fail all the times (i tried 20 times).
i kind of distroy it, i cant go to "google play", i cant connect to WIFI, i cant get a keybord in right to left writing and alot of other things,
i tried to get stock ICS rom the solve all my problem and it dont pass.
my friend told me that there is a jelly bean stock rom and i think it gonna be the best solotion to my problems,
my biggest problem its my poor english. it take me a hour with a dictionary to write this post, and becaus of that i cant anderstand what to do and what to search for.
i need help, if someone can help me find a simple guid (with photos if there is one ) from the bassic becaus i really dont know what i'm doing antil now.

Hope you find some help! You have to follow some very specific procedures to get your phone out of the incompatible pieces that you have put in it by now. Messing up the boot loader from what I am reading is pretty bad. I wish it were as simple as running gparted on ubuntu and fixing the disk for the OS reinstall. BUT I am quite sure there is a process for it.

cant update, music lags , battery issues

hello guys i am using my brothers note 2 gt-n7100 and there are couple of problems with it
1.when i try to update it trough wifi it states that the device is updated (device android version is 4.1.1 )
2.while using music player the built in app , music lags but only when i lock the screen.
3.it states the device is modified when i put an external sd card
4.and battery charges very slow and wont charge upto 100% even in airplane mode.
5. i am trying to reset but need to make back up just downoaded kies to back the phone up.may be a reset can help will inform u guys
some info on the device it was sent from Australia and now its in Pakistan if that makes any difference.
samsung had released the 4.2 or 4.3 version for Pakistan in dec 2013 .
i hope some 1 could help
ps is there any way to download the update and then transfer it to the phone i am now using kies and i dont know if it will update the phone directly or it will first save the update and then transfer it to the phone
the reason for asking is power outages in my country they are very frequent so if during upgrade the power fails i will be disconnected from the internet.

if you want 4.3 official, get it and flash with odin
official firmware from here
and here is a guide how to flash with odin

thnx for the fast reply just to clear some things is there a chance to brick the device whle using odin ? and can i get reliable torrents for the link you attached its 1.19 gb man and i cant download it through a file sharing site. and will it help in the prolems i am facing thnx for ur time again

Avoid using download accelerators mate..!
The file u download will be a tar with md5 if there are any issues with the file odin wont let you flash it..!
Dont worry go ahead and flash

i searched google and cant find "PAK-N7100XXUEMKA-20131221152952.zip "
in parts or in torrent and there is no way i can download a file sized 1 gb,
so what about custom roms they are far smaller in size? what about there usability and how good they are there is a rom i found "omni rom" its 174 mbs .
give some suggestion guys!

Mate I cant see what file ur sharing... But make sure you get na1 if u flash stock as its latest..
Omni is Aosp based rom.. It will not have any Touchwiz features...
Just read or ask if u get confused...

[Q] Phone stuck at logo after flashing stock ROM

Hi,
This is my first post here on the XDA forum so if I make any mistakes, please do tell.
So, I got a Galaxy Ace 2 (I8160) which was running unrooted and stock at Android 2.3.6 (if I recall correctly).
I decided I wanted the phone to run at a newer Android version (KitKat preferred), so I decided to look into Cyanogenmod 11.0.
I succesfully installed the Clockworkmod Recovery after soms attempts and after that I was able to install Cyanogenmod 11.0 running on Android 4.4.4.
My first impression was positive, until I noticed I regularly got some error messages about com.android.phone which stopped working.
On top of this, the phone had no service and I was unable to make any calls (also selecting a service provider made com.android.phone crash).
After a lot of looking around on the internet, I found out this could be caused because I flashed Cyanogenmod 11.0 directly from Android 2.3.6.
On another tutorial I read I should've flashed Cyanogenmod 11.0 from any Jellybean version but as I stated earlier, I flashed it from a Gingerbread version.
On another forum I found someone who used to have the same issue and stated that he made the same mistake as I did (flashing from a non-Jellybean version).
He said he flashed a stock Jellybean ROM to his phone, installed Clockworkmod Recovery and at last flashed Cyanogenmod again and everything seemed to be working just fine.
I decided to do the same and flashed a stock Jellybean ROM for the I8160 using Odin v3.07.
After Odin told me the flash process passed, the phone rebooted but was stuck at the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 logo.
When trying to get into the recovery, I got the same problem and the only thing I saw was the startup logo.
If I'd turn off the phone and plug in to my computer (which normally shows the battery percentage) it'd be stuck at the loading icon (normally this loading icon is visible for about 5 seconds and after that the battery percentage is visible).
I'm still able to get into download mode, so I tried reflashing the same ROM but unfortunately without success.
I used the following stock ROM: samsung-updates.com/details/28857/Galaxy_Ace_2/GT-I8160/XEN/I8160XXNB1.html.
I've been using the Cyanogenmod 11.0 and GApps files from: maclaw.pl/downloads/.
Does anybody have any idea about how I coud fix this?

In my opinion, You should flash 3-parted Firmware

I came across this 3-parted firmware flash a few hours ago.
I'm trying it right now. I'll let you know what the results are.

Alright, another update. (My problem seems to be fixed!)
At first I tried downloading the 3 files neccessary for the new flash method, but for some reason it'd take me hours to download them.
I started looking on the internet for the same files and found a torrent link on another forum leading to a torrent file uploaded here, on the XDA forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1757643&d=1361735404.
I downloaded the files in the torrent and used them properly in Odin.
The flashing process started and at about 80% Odin gave me a nasty error message saying the flash failed...
At that moment I was seriously hopeless and pretty sure I've just succesfully hard-bricked my phone.
I tried to start it and I got a weird message saying a firmware update went wrong and that I should fix it using Samsung Kies.
As it stated, I tried using Samsung Kies but was unable to get my phone to work.
I was out of options so I decided to give the 3-way flashing method a second chance.
Oding started flashing and for some reason finished succesfully this time.
The phone reboots, and shows the 'Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160' message for a few minutes.
After that the Samsung logo pops up and I've waited for another few minutes until a new screen pops up.
I see the Android guy and a blue progress bar underneath and patiently waits untill it's done.
After this I see the Samsung logo again and the phone finally boots to Android! Great Success!
Conclusion in my case: The 3-parted firmware seemed to do the trick for me.
As I stated above, the first flash failed but the second one was totally succesfully and revived my phone.

Yeb - you can use also the 3-parted MB4 (which was an very early JB FW).
But as the MB4 is not 100% complete - I still recommend only to use the 3-parted FWs linked by me (which ChuckMichael shows you)
But anyway - If your Phone booted you are done - You do not need to to it again. Just flash afterwards the newst original FW available.

[Q] Galaxy Note 2 soft bricked , want to bring it back to life , please help ..

Hello All,
I have this samsung galaxy note 2 locked with telus canada. Right now its stuck on samsung logo screen.
1) I have tried factory reset but i cannot enter that menu , its just keep on coming back to samsung logo.
I have tried to put it in download mode and tried stock rom with ODIN but it shows failed after few seconds
2) i have tried to install TWRP on it and tried to wipe thru that but same problem, right now its showing no OS installed in it
3) I tried to bring it to stock after putting stock rom in a SD card and tried it access SD card from TWRP but its not recognizing SD card, I have tried to replace sim card+ sd card tray on motherboard just to rule out if there is any hardware issue
4) I have tried to mount SD card thru TWRP but its keep on coming back with lots of error messages ( picture attached)
5) tried advanced wipe in TWRP but lot of error messages again ( picture attached)
I am trying to find a rescue firmware or emergency firmware for samsung galaxy note 2 i317M , if any body know a reliable link please let me know or any other advice will be appreciated .
if you need any other information from my side please let me know

Same problem happened to me after 2/3 days after mounting the "rom DN4". Now I connect it to my computer and is easily recognized by Odin but I try to install the original firmware, the process is successful but in reality nothing happens. As if it would record more changes !!!! I hope we can help !! I include photos of recovery !!!!

Model number for note 2 is SGH-i317M , sorry i forgot to mention that in my post, and it came with Telus , Canada

I thing the best should be :
Download the original rom from SamMobile.
Install it with odin PC
Root the rom
After, if you want , install a custom rom.
I hope that can help you.

It's something that I thought I'd do, but as I wrote, even if the writing process through Odin is reported as successful by both Odin that the phone itself with the advancement of the bar, actually it is not !! I tried to install both original rom 4.1 is 4.4, different bootloader and recovery original but nothing to do !! I hope you have other solutions to help us. Thanks in advance !!!

It's your rom a full wipe rom ?
Have you try with an other version of Odin ? .I had a problem with Odin PC 3.09 but it worked with Odin PC 3.07.

No, the rom was not full wipe. Unfortunately however through Ricovery wipe function does not work as per attached photos. Basically it is as if the phone would not see more memories, in fact marks 0 mb available, but this gives me hope that it's a problem of folder and fs / partitions corrupt, because removing the sd 64gb I filled in the computer works fine again! ! But how to solve it ???? I tried different versions of Odin from 3 to 3:09 !!!

have you try to install an original Samsung rom with Odin PC ?
It's possible TWRP doesn't work well if your phone are locked =Can another user confirme that ?

Finally, after you've tried everything and more without solving the problem I took it in for service. They told me that if it's a software problem (that has corrupted the partition) to others happened like that, is not to cost more than € 20 .......
I hope so !!! Then you update !!

Perhaps you can try flashing twrp recovery again to see if it picks up SD card.

Try flashing a split firmware with re partition enabled and a pit file for your particular model .
If same problem persists then it might be emmc ic problem ( a hardware issue and you need to get it replaced ).

I am not worrying too much about bricking this phone anyways coz i have tried every other option available here and its already semi bricked now. i would really appreciate if i can make it work anyways. I posted this post almost 2 weeks ago so i guess most of other readers are out of ideas too now. so i would like to go for pit file option now. Please help me in this i have never tried this option before.

Split firmware means separate files for ap, cp, csc, bootloader in odin instead of single file in ap. U have to search for it. And also for pit file for your model.
Then flash it using odin with pit file also selected and re partition enabled.
If this do not solve problem. Then its emmc issue. Get it replaced.

Thanks for your help sachin, could you please let me know where i can find all these split files for my model its i747M canadian network locked to telus canada. I am trying to find all these files but most of the places are providing only PDA file. Please help me in this or please let me know some keywords how can i search them.
