I'm sorry if this is a already ask question, but I was wondering what kernels would work for this rom? I don't know much about kernels but I tried a ziggy one and my home menu etc buttons wouldn't work. So what be the best one to use and to properly install it?
Thanks

none liberation rom is a gb sense rom if i remeber correctly there are no custom gb kernels yet
Oh haha makes sense thank you I wish he kept the peanut rom up

There are three Liberation ROMs. There's Liberation, Enhanced, and Enhanced Beta. The latter, the beta version (2.x) is based off Gingerbread. As stated above, we do not have kernels made for them yet.
However, the first 2 are still on Froyo. If you check the thread for Liberation, there's links to Lou's custom kernels. Those are the kernels that I personally recommend (using #8 myself), though you can certainly use others.
Alright, thank you guys for clearing this up for me love your roms jay hopefully kernels well be made for them!
Can someone make a 1% battery mod, crt screen off animation and overscroll glow for EH06?

Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
To be honest.. I doubt much work will be done on this leak.... Work will become obsolete very fast.
Eg22 themes are reported to work fine.

I'm gonna flash the rom as soon as I get backed up.
Wow people are impatient these days
I just flashed through Ace theme, and one of my beta themes (eg22 based) both worked fine on the eh06 rom.
yeah i just used the moddraggon 6 lockscreen mod on the new leak and it worked perfectly, no FCs or anything like that. Unfortunately the boot animations i wanted to use dont work anymore... i guess people will port those over soon enough.

Boot animations will require a kernel that supports boot animations. Since this is still the stock kernel being used it doesn't support it.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Chris41g working his magic on one of his modded stock kernels for EH06 to support this
I'd much prefer to use mods based off "this" framework and system not an earlier build just cause it works

My assumption is that they didnt make any changes to the framework between eg22 and this leak. Both 2.3.4.
I can confirm generation x green eg22 works on eh06. BUT lockscreen parts foce closes. Bummer

travismoreno Thanks for taking the time to make a NON lock mod theme
Solved http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1368585 Solved
Hello themers
I think i speak for more than just me when i say that memory problems from the 10 lockmod are unacceptable.
/system/framework/framework-res.apk uses over a 100MB of memory & climes all day untill its crashes.
If a themer could look at making some themes that DONT use the lock mod. I use the pattern lock on my phone so its useless to me & every one that locks there phone.
Acording to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343669&page=33 the lockmod is where the memory leek is coming from
Opps Mods put in Q&A if needed
Ill try to get a Standard version up soon. I am expieriencing the same issues. I dont mind if someone wants to modify it for me but if nobody does than i should have one up in a couple days. Im in finals week and havent had much time.

i do remember you talking about Finals so i just made this theead.
I dont realy think i have any complaints or requests on your theme other than the locks. Its really nice & has gone on me.
U can always go check ppcgeeks. They usually have the outdated versions there. So there might have the shake & bake mix up there without the 10 locks mod
My phone is Captivating, Fascinating, Epic and also LEGENDARY!!
What memory problems? I have no memory problems on ICS lockmod 2.0 unless I use Samurai Kernel <.<

I am on ACS5.5 & Shadow 1.0.1+ /system/framework/framework-res.apk uses over a 100MB of memory & climes all day untill its crashes & from what i have been reading in different rom threads & etc..... its from the lockmod.
If its not, some one speak up & let us know where the problem is.
I've noticed a lot of soft reboots since i've started using roms/themes with the lockmod. I posted about it in the QA section, and in the Honeycomb fusion thread. I've tried a couple different themes that have the lockmod built in, and a couple that don't and only get the soft reboots on the roms/themes with the lockmod. So here's a 2nd for this theme sans lockmod.
Thanks!
My phone is up for days at a time. My own custom built rom. Shadow Kernel 1.0+. ICS Lockmod 2.0. No reboots, no memory issues, no lag or issues of any kind whatsoever.

You will have a soft reboot regardless of your kernel, you won't see it in the battery stats since its not a hard reboot.

I'm on my phone all day. My phone is always in line of sight even if it's not in use. This isn't a "guess". I "do not" get any reboots. And the lockmod built into the theme is the same 10lock used in the rest. So either my phone is magic or the lockmod isn't the end all of the memory issues people are having.

I'm not seeing these issues. Here are the steps I used.
-Odin back to stock eco5.
-Ota upgrade to stock ei22.
-Odin acs cwm5 based recovery **pull battery before it boots and boot into newly installed acs recovery**
-Flash ACS ICS 5.1 and without rebooting flashed samaurai 3.01+
-booted into android and rebooted to recovery
-flash EI22ICS_Lock_Mod_2.0.zip
-reboot and remove any unwanted bloat with titanium.
-enjoy.

Maybe this is something. Two people who claim no problems with the lockmod are both using the ics theme 2.0 with lockmod. Maybe the ics theme did something differently that solved the problem...
I have also been using the ics theme 2.0 with no problems, but it is the aosp lockscreen version so that probably means nothing.

Don't want to pick on bones, but I went through the thread. You didn't say you had that theme installed. Yeah, you're asking for a non lockmod version of S & B in the title, but that doesn't necessarily equal your having said lockmod theme on your phone, especially when you only said you have ACS v5.5 with Shadow kernel.
FWIW, RandomKing is beta testing his next version of his ROM that doesn't have lockmod. According to him, the removal of lockmod does improve memory usage.

AOSP lockscreen means you have no lockmod hence no issues.
The 2.0 theme with the lockmod is the one I began with that originally gave me issues, its not the theme but the mod itself.

When I got my Epic Touch I flashed Overstews first ICS theme. I liked the black menus with the blue highlights and decided to keep it even though all the other ICS themes went to the grey menus (like ICS really has). A lot of apps are themed. I used images from Overstew and Vertumus, and put my own touch on things. All the apks are optimized and zip aligned. I try to elimate images that arent being used, etc. Anyway, check it out, let me know what you think.

On the version for maddoggin, I forgot to change the progress bar just so everyone knows.
I didn't see any scripts to convert ROM from deodex to odex, so I figured I'd round one up. I've been using odex'd ROMs since Ammikan started doing to back in my Evo 4G days. I think it definitely speed things up and should give you a more stock snappy feel. I'm sure there will be some debate about actual performance, but I wanted use it and figured someone else may want to as well so here we are.
DISCLAMER: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE AS A RESULT OF FLASHING THIS!!!!!
By request I added an additional zip for odexing your /data/app folder. The zip will keep the classes.dex files inside your apks and make things easier to update/revert.
MAKE SURE YOU NANDROID BEFORE DOING THESE!!!!

I then tried a setup that had the aio mod and my status bar disappeared. Its possible it was a fluke or maybe the odexed aio mod would be flashed after this on the ROM. Outstanding work!
