Is this an app issue or kernel issue?
This started occuring this week.
I flash different roms and they all work well.
I tested lately on different roms as well and kernels.
Touch and hold sometimes do not register, causing me to lose a race or die(madfinger games).
Anyone else experiencing this? And possibly identify what is wrong.
Thanks much!
Games tested:
Monster shooter: lost levels
Mini moto racing
Samurai 2 thd
Shadowgun thd
Dead trigger
Typed with XDA Premium on OneX
This issue is known on AOKP/CM9 ROMs. Try with Sense ROMs, if it still doesn't work, it can be hardware fault. On MIUI this problem doesn't exist.

Yes I have noticed this more on AOSP/AOKP ROMS.
It does now on Sense ROMs.
I will have to continue testing some more. It was fluid last night when I flashed a sense rom, then early this afternoon there were some of it.
I came up with a theory that temperature is an issue, it has something to do with the temp of my thumbs or the device. Somehow when it's cold it doesn't react very well.
Any thoughts?

for me i dont think i have ur issue

(and since u have experinced alots of roms i have to ask u
im having lags on games like shadown gun and deadtrigger etc......
what is the best rom u have tried for games ?
and did u use any special setting for games to prevent lag?
and i am on leedroid rom should i flash a custom kernel ? would it soulve the lag problem ?
thanks in advance

Running SandWiz ROM based on CM9. The issue should be on this ROM, but it doesn't exist. Maybe coz it has TouchWiz framework. And when I'm playing games, no matter which temperature, I have multitouch.

custom kernels there is a chance that it could cause this and i dont have ur problem i think
because i played shadow gun for about 30 min and nothing happend the touch was the same
here is what u do like i said before man
restore ur device to stock firmawre with a stock kernel try the latest leaked firmware like the (4.04)
and do wipes (factory/cache/dalvik ) from custom recovery
after that format ur storage charge ur phone fully
after that take it off the charger
and try playing shadow gun for 30 minuets see if it is the same
click thanks if i helped
Lately I have been using stock 4.04 kernel and still testing thr games. Shadowgun yes but ill wait for nexus7 to play it again. Touch seems back to normal with stock kernel, running on renocate 3.0.0 atm

Used some ROMs lately, and it appeared on SandWiz but I'm running BeatMod something based on Sense, and I don't have the issue yet. Now I'm testing the battery how long will it last, and I will not flash ROMs.

Undervoltage seems to be the culprit here. Not sure but in my testing, stock kernel seems to not have this problem

Yes, same for everyone.
It's seriously bad framerate, especially if your stock.
Just have to wait for gameloft to fix it, I suppose.

Hi y'all. I'm a noob. PC gaming is easy enough to understand when it comes to system requirements, but I can't figure out when a game will lag or not for our beloved W until I install it or try it. Is there an easy way to know? How does our phone stack up to the big boys when it comes to gaming?
I bought this phone for its nice processor speed hoping it would be good for games. So far I've been slightly disappointed. 3D games have been laggy. I'm using CM9 a8.
Thanks in advance for any replies!

our device isnt for gaming. it just has an adreno 205 gpu, which was released in 2010. its very old and not good for real 3d games.
But I dont know where you can see if you can run a game or not. but some games has in the description, which devices are supported.

Is game booster similar to supercharger v6? Have you tried using chain fire with cm9 ? It appears to work only on gingerbread.

supercharger is a ram fix, which gives you better multitasking and avoid launcher-restarts. I dunno if it makes a difference in games, I guess not.
chain fire optimize the game and your driver.
game booster disable some background proceses and gave the game the most cpu+gpu priority. but it also do something on the ram settings. dunno if its good to run v6 and game booster.

It works. I already tried it in cm9 based rom. I used indroid remics and it helps me a lot. When i'm playing hd games the graphics only shows white screen
. So i use chainfire and there it is working smooth with no problem.

I try those 2 together but it seems no problem though. In my opinion v6 is used for multitasking in daily use didn't affect for playing games i guess. But game booster increases performance for gaming only.
Correct me if i'm wrong

friends of this great forum:
as you will have released version 1.0.1 of the game Grand Theft Auto Vice City and want to know if they installed this great game, had no problems, I ask this because I downloaded the 1.0.0 again and it was a mess, as did not enter the game on my s3 i747 and could not leave the game, because I had to go to task manager to close the application.
I ask please that you installed in your Samsung i747 S3 tell me if it works or not the game, because I'm intimidated to lose games not work on my S3 i747 from at & t.
thanks for reply and greetings.

Horribly laggy when driving on CM10.1, unplayable in fact. Sad panda! It seems like it's working flawlessly even on the GS2
I have a weird glitch with my installation, I tried everything to fix it in the settings, tried clearing memory, tried killing and restricting apps from running in the background but nothing works to fix this. can somebody help me?
I've attached a couple pics to shed light on this crap...
Thanks

yeah on touchwiz based roms it works just fine. on cm10xx and aokp roms, driving is obsolete and will not even show any graphics.
Everything works fine for me. No lag or anything. And I'm also not running touch wiz.

Anyone running GTA San Andreas or GTA Vice City on the M8?
For some reason is not working for me, after menu the game starts loading, when bar reaches almost 100%,the have just closes. No message or anything, it just stops for both these versions of GTA.
The original GTA III works a treat.
Was looking forward to trying San Andreas on the M8 but so far no go...
Anyone have any ideas on what could be going wrong here?

yeah, I cant figure out what happened.
Vice city was working, although the controls seemed to be hovering in half the screen (as if resolution of the buttons differed from the screen)
Then it just wouldn't go beyond the load screen at all anymore.
So strange....
Try clearing cache if that doesn't work then you have to uninstall then install again. For me San Andreas is working well

Am now installing sa 1.03 to see if that one works...

I guess some setting got messed up which is used by both SA and Vice City funnily enough...

Makes absolutely no sense to me. I had issues running it on my M7 while on Viper Rom, reverted to NuSense and all was well. I have no idea how s-off could break a game? Best game I own too. ISH!

Could you try this for me.
Load the game, wait for at least one minute on the main menu screen before pressing resume or start..
See if it works that way, it just did with me..
No clue what's going on here but it does the trick...
Does not work for Vice City though...

strange, seems to work now consistently for me, as long as I leave it for longer than a minute at the initial menu screen...

It seems like Rockstar is checking somewhere if you are rooted or s-off

Did you remove any bloat from your phone? That is the only thing I can possibly think of, I removed a lot of bloat. Is there any way I could get you to time how long you load or start a new game after the game boots? I'll also try another rockstar game and see if it works after I get out of work.

I used times between 1 and 2 minutes, but it has to be over 1 minute minimum.
Still nothing. Crap.

I think it may be related to the ext SD card. It seems to create a directory on the SD that it can't use.
I do some testing later.
FYI I installed Viper and the it's working fine now. Sweet.
I take that back. Craps.
