[Q] How do i bypass activation on custom roms. - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to bypass verizon activation when i install new roms since this device is no longer on the network.
any hints?

1. Select emergency call and dial ##778.
2. Select edit and enter service password 000000.
3. Select NAM Settings.
4. Change Mobile Directory number to 0000000000 (Ten digits).
5. Change MIN1 to 0000000 (Seven digits).
6. Change Mobile Country Code to 000 (Three digits).
7. As you back out "Commit the Change".
Haven't done the above myself, but I had remembered seeing the instructions on the Wifi only script thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1217038.
Hope that helps.

I know there is a trick where you press the 4 corners of the activation screen and it bypases it. I cant recall exactly what it was but i think its top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left.
Edit: Yes that is it.

The method above works for me on my T-Mobile desire. Edit contact and then press the picture of the camera top left?
Im getting nothing when i do that...
To use the photo button it seems that the contact has to be saved to the phone and not the sim card.
My did not work either but once I had copied everything over to the phone it worked a treat.
Ok this could be the answer
Now how do you transfer the sim to phone?
( if it's not one thing It's another... )
A BIG THANK YOU

Is there an HD Voice option?

I am still debating which version of the Note 4 to go with. AT&T claims there is a setting for HD voice somewhere in the menus. Can anyone confirm this? I am really interested to know if the phone can make calls over LTE.

OK. So you enable it that way but are the calls actually going over LTE? I know AT&T is currently testing it in a few markets but that doesn't necessarily mean you can access it without the appropriate feature codes on the back end.
Maybe if you take a screenshot of your data counters and then make a call for a few minutes and then look at the data counters again to see if anything related to telephony shows up?

That's strange, that screen shot is from my T-Mobile S6 Edge.
It's there on mine as well
Looks like you may not be running a T-Mobile Edge, is that correct? Maybe the International Firmware is different.

That's most likely the culprit
Has anyone found a work around for the call start/end tones on sm-n920f. Its not an option to remove like it was on the s5 and its bugging me no end.

Settings>Applications>Phone>Call Alerts>Call Status Tones. Hope this helps!

Been getting this text over my TV (TCL P8s) Running Android TV 9.

The Text is appearing for 2 seconds and disappearing.
Here is a picure:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It is probably a setting from developer option, but they are all turned off.
I'm unable to factory reset after this text started appearing, neither does the TV have hard reset button.
Help would be appreciated.
It's sita P mode from service menu. You have to stand on contrast in advanced bright settings and type 9735 to get there.

}
Incomming calls cannot be recognized. Most of incomming calls (it not depends on he/shi is or not in my phone contacts) are recognised as "Unknown"
How can I solve this problem?
I had the same problem with another ROM.
For this I had to deactivate VolLTE.
VOLTE/VOWIFI profile was set propably incorrect by phone.
to set it right I must change profile with code:
*#*#663368378#*#*
Then - MBN config loading and activating tool
Then : search for your country operator and select
Choose - All_SUB
Then click on - Act
Wait few sec
Your operator settings will be activated and stored
Incomming calls will be recognised again
This trick works on my phone with Xiaomi.Eu roms
Not working on my phone. I get the attached screen.
