A100 Easter Egg? - Acer Iconia Tab A100

I was checking on my tablet info (Settings, About Tablet) and I was absent mindedly tapping on the Android Version and something popped up!
It seems to be a random number of taps to get it to come up.
Also, tapping on it does something!

Yea its an Easter Egg in honeycomb in general. Gingerbread has one too where a zombie gingerbread man picture comes up or something.

Android Codenames

Maybe i am a little naive but I have only just noticed that not only do Google names their firmware for Android after delicious sounding pastries, BUT they also do it in alphabetical order too!
Untitled initial release - 1.1 (lame/lazy effort by Google!)
Cupcake - 1.5
Donut - 1.6
Eclair - 2.0/2.1
Froyo - 2.2
Gingerbread - 3.0
Honeycomb - 3.1/3.2 ?
Ii was trying to figure out what dessert started with an I and couldnt come up with a good one :/
Ice Cream maybe? xD
If that's the case it probably started with Biscuit and will go to Ice Cream after Honeycomb!

Ice Cream seems too odd in the pattern to me...
all the releases have been a single word - and also Ice Cream is probably too similar to FroYo to come in line... although I can't think of anything else
Also they'll probably change the name anyway if people guess it too early!

[Q] [REQ]who knows how to make a transition animation???

I have a couple crazy ideas that would rock. if anyone here knows how to make these please reply... i wanna know whats possible, how they work, are they images or xml controlled or both
They are images that are frame by frame and usually jpeg or jpg format and then there is a text file that instructs the bootanimation what aspect ratio to display it in, how many frames per second it should move, how many times to loop the whole thing, etc. I don't know how to make the videos into individual frames but I can edit the frames, txt file, and zip it back up where it'll work? lol

You are correct. I've never touch them myself, but you have to know where they are before you can even start.

[DISCUSSION]JANDYCANE?-seems legit

Hmmm..... In the past few days I've seen few threads lately about whats the Next Google Android OS will be. Some say "Key Lime Pie" and some say "KandyCane". Today I've found somewhat odd file when i tried to decompile JellyBean SystemUI.apk (see photo attachment below). Isn't odd they named it "JandyCane"? Perhaps its just a typo or a clue for the "J" OS will be named, since Google love to named there OS by delicious treat names. Looking forward to your feedback. Tnx.

The "J" OS is Jelly Bean. This has been noted in the second Candy Cane thread. It's either just a candy candy cane thrown in there for fun or, as some people have posted, probably hints that the next OS will be released by Christmas.

Perhaps your right. Maybe, just maybe Google are just planning just to merge "JellyBean" and "KandyCane". Like ICS 4.0.x to 4.1.x....
^^^^ My thoughts.

Stock dialer doesn't work properly on ANY rom

Hello.
The reason I posted this is because I want to know if anyone has an answer to this.
When I press a key on the stock dialer it doesn't have the fade effects like the calculator for example. I don't know why this dissapeared and it goes on on ANY rom.
It really isn't that important but if somebody can tell me why this happens.
Thanks!

Galaxy Nexus is still better than the Iphone 5. There are tons of things you can do with this android device. Iphone 5 remains (as of software) just like the 3gs.

No seriously, there is a damn animation, i can remember it from when i got my nexus in the first days and you can see on youtube videos posted.
It's like a mistery why it simply dissapeared.open calculator for example and you will see that when typing on numbers there's a soft fade in and out effect.

No Easter Egg?

Trying to bring up the Lolipop Easter Egg but tapping on the Android version number does nothing. Is it just my phone?
I tried a while back and nothing either. My Z3 has it and a little game as well.

Must be a Sense thing. Works on Stock GPE Samsung S4.
HTC gets rid of it... Don't know why, even Samsung is fine with it!
