How many people would be interested in having this theme ported to latest versions of CM? Porting it shouldn't really be hard at all however I was thinking to keep everyone happy and people off our backs that I would maintain the layout of the theme but keep it inline with the CM roms I.E Cyanogize it a bit
i'm not a big fan of the screwpaw theme, but you know, i think any progress for the sake of android is good i think it should be updated
I would love it if you would update it to the latest Cyan build. I like the way the theme is but how would you Cyanogize it?
Most definitely interested.
i don't think so as for the fact it would kinda kill what the point was of the original one. Maybe do a different look though. There could only be one ScrewPaw IMO

I have it mostly ported over as-is for my g1 now but I kinda feel like doing something different with it. I like the layout and all but some of the graphics just doesn't quite feel right on the g1
maybe ill make CyanPaw
any luck with getting this done?

Do it, and I like the name CyanPaw
Yep. Count me among the "ayes"
woo cant wait for this. ill get it on my cyanogen when its ready
i really love the theme how it is already.
the only think i hated was the version 3.9.7? with the stones as the background as the app drawer. it looked out of place.
the background of the app drawer before that was waaaay sexy. the dark picture with trees and the lovely scenery.
also, you should change the bootupscreen, it's already been suggested but this would be awesome haha.
android peeing on palm.
Yeah i'm in, been jumping back and forth from xrom to screwpalm. not really fond of the rocks in.9 tho, you could ditch that for sure.
please do.
ive been switching themes everyday and i cant find one i liked as much as screwpaw.
any update on the progress of developing this theme for us cyanogen users? =]
keep up good work
keep up the good work man. Don't listen to others saying don't make it. I am a big fan of it and can't wait till you get the latest version out.or do you have it out? if so can you please send it to me in private message or email.. thanx a lot. that would be much appreciated. Wish has a version out, but it's not the latest, so if you could work on the latest cynogen releases, that'd be awesome
Well the thread with the 4.02 theme has been removed, can anyone pm me the link to the rapidshare location? I have it in my history but I accidently cleared it...
http://miano.us/android
favorite the site if you'd like - I'll continue porting as the updates are made to the rom.
Why was the thread removed?

What is so funny about the thread being removed is the presence of the post by a moderator saying that Pre themes would NOT be removed because they had never received official word.
Dear devs, theme-makers and users. Anybody know if there is a theme with the gingerbread screen off animation?
Would love it on my sgs...

+1
I want it too.
Gingerbread screen off animation is not available yet.
Well apparently CM7 has it.
I want it too! Will donate
It's not impossible, but its not feasible either.
Considering you're dealing with closed source and want to add opengl based code to a smali file, it could be tricky and definitely time consuming.
I'd advise just sit tight for a stable gingerbread firmware.
Cm7 has it because it is gingerbread...
They also added it to screen on so it must be transferable in some shape or form.. No idea how myself..
I have been wondering about this for days now, and I would love to see it on my vibrant
I would totally show that off to the best of my knowledge no phone has such a cool feature

Yeah, everybody is looking for it. +1 to seeing it soon!

Me tooo!

Any ideas? Supercurio spoke about it before
I would want it too
+1 very keen for this! (+caps!)
Surely with so much hype over Gingerbread, this must have been found by someone?
I hope someone finds it soon and is able to implement it.
What really annoys me about this awesome feature is that an iPhone already has the ability to do it (albeit with a mod from the jailbroken community) after some guy spent 3 hours figuring out a solution. You'd think it'd be a lot easier for android phones (since it was originally, well, has been already designed for them) to support and implement it much better than an iPhone... well, that's just my opinion. I'm not too sure how easy it would be to make it work for our phones, and I'm more than happy to wait until someone wise can take the time to make it happen, but either way when it does eventually arrive you can count on me to add it onto every future rom I'll ever use.
ps. I'd link you all to the article about the iPhone mod but I don't have the rights to at the moment... sorry.
In norm terms
I wouldn't use trans, and I don't at the moment, no need to flash, just pure speed XD
But that said, I must admit, this I'll prob use Neat how it looks like an old analog television turns off, or this is what it makes me think of,

You all just have to read post #5.
I've noticed, after hovering without an account here for the last 6 months, that there is a lack of development progress for the gingerbread port from xdandroid. I know they are busy with the froyo builds and what not. But has there been ANY progress made for GB? I'm running the alpha build and it is noticeably faster than froyo on my tp2. The inbound sound when receiving and making calls is clearer. It also seems to handle my cell phone signal better than froyo. If there is anything new for gingerbread but hasn't been released could someone point me in the right direction? I am willing to use my phone for the devlopers to test new builds on and report back every function that works and doesn't if need be. Thanks in advance for anyone who answers.

Same here! I just visited the gingerbread thread, and arrrghhh (i'll learn the correct spelling eventually, or is that right?) basically said that they have to port the fixes they made with FRXO7 to gingerbread, so progress seems to be getting made
Sweet. Im excited about it. I prefer gingerbread to froyo. It handles data better I've noticed. I'll be donating some of my time going through the source to see if I can help at all. I have experience in c++/c# coding emulators for MMOs. I know its a big jump from games to an OS but eh I would like to help as much as possible. I'll let ya know if i do any improvements myself.
Just tried it in gingerbread, just for kicks. and i found out that...
the same thing happens (-_-) still testing!
I managed to get it to work on GB just fine. no issues no lag oddly enough.

Hi, i am very new at all of this, i have never even rooted a phone before. my question is which rom do i want... there are like 10-15 of them, i want one thats fast, i hear that touchwiz really slows everything down so i guess one that gets rid of that. everyone talks about the pure google experience, which one(s) would give me that. but also with features like the cool crt thing, and the the toggles in the notification bar (4g,wifi) there was one with alot of different ones...
then like 2 weeks ago, the infamous bubby got ics working but there werent any fixes because apparently he was banned... so i guess, cant really expect anything new to come from there... is anyone else going to continue it, or start over? is bubby's stable enough?
also, one last thing, please dont laugh, but if someone could just tell me how the procedure works, i can watch the how to videos but the order is my question, first you root (with "odin"), then you flash a rom?
thanks

there are probably a lot more than 10-15. there could also be ROMs in other places (sites) for your device. the rule is, that you have to check ROMs yourself. what someone else finds great may not run so smoothly on your hardware. you just have to try them yourself. there are different 'flavors' of ROMs, because the user experience is subjective. sticking with the 'flavor' metaphor, do you think a group of 1000 people could tell you what flavor of ice cream you would like 'best'? of course not, people like different things. the only thing you can do is try them out, and decide for yourself.
I'm not positive, but I think almost all of the ICS builds you'll find will likely be 'alpha' or 'beta', at best. Which means that they're not really stable enough for daily use yet. right now, ICS is more of a proof of concept and for devs who are working hard to get it ready to be ported to your phone. asking 'Are we there yet?', isn't going to make it arrive any faster.
and to your last question. that's about right. when you've rooted, then you can flash. read, read, read. then when you feel ready...flash away.
hope this helps. good luck!
thanks for your help... yeah, i guess ive just got to check them all out... maybe try a couple different ones..

that's the best route. also, you can check youtube by searching for the name of a ROM you're interested in. sometimes you'll find walkthru videos that can help you eliminate some of them without wasting the time and effort of flashing. or maybe you'll see the video and say 'THAT'S the rom I want!!!'
So i was thinking.... Since all the roms that are out for our phones are pretty much the same. With very minor tweaks it seems would be the differences. I was wondering. Would anyone but up to the challenge of porting over Sense somehow. I hear it would be a challenge. But it seems ICS is impossible right now. I have not heard sense would be impossible just challenging. But I personally loves sense on my sensation. And at this point kinda wish I would have kept it. but with the processing power and great big display on this phone I think sense would be a welcomed shot of eye candy. I know there are sense themes but they just simply arent nearly the same. So would anyone be up to the challenge of trying?

First off, BEST title ever, everyone knows we don't have enough of those lmao,
And definitely a worthy question aswell.
Allow me to begin by saying, this would b a hefty ammount of work and would needboth sources,
Not as simple as copying libs and files, etc. It would actually require breaking the source down to figure out exactly
What files to copy out and what changes would need to be made, aswell as figuring out what would what would need to be done to the actual launcher to make it completely compatible, etc.
This being said, its not an impossible task, but not far off.
Expecially with (obviously) the anticipation of ICS, I doubt very few devs here actually would want to take the time for that much extensive work, just to rebuild again in a few months.your best bet, you could possibly ask on the i9100 forums as they have their ICS so I'm assuming their workload would perhaps be abit easier, and if successfully ported could potentially be redone for the s2x aswell.
don't take this as a garuntee though just saying the possibility is there.
Alot of work no doubt. But i think it could be a challenge worth the reward. I mean if they could get sense working now. It would open a whole new world of options when ICS does come out. On the sensation they had sense with ICS many have said they dont like ICS. We could have Sense, ICS, Sense 4.0 which i guess is the ICS version of sense and of course gingerbread. I mean Someone just has to take the time to take the first step. And the others come around hopefully. I mean just look over at the sensations rom section. Theres a HUGE about of different roms. Not just minor tweaks. But vastly different roms. Not just gingerbreak themed over and over.

Get your facts right, download all the ROMs and tell me that they are all the same. Your going just because they are all 2.3.6 I bet. Well when ICS drops I wont all the bases be 4.0.3?
Would all the ROMs be the same then?
