One solution:
MakeItOne mp3 Album maker
Its a windows program (free DL). You can use it to make one file from several mp3's that will play consecutively.
I used it to loop R2D2 sounds to make my ringtone.

Did you check the Q&A section?

MP3 ringtones won't repeat.
It will loop ringtones if you convert the mp3 to OGG format, and in the file info (you can edit this in Winamp for example), create a field called ANDROID_LOOP and set the value to TRUE.

Actually the same question has been asked a few times already. A quick search would have gotten the answer without the need to open another thread about this.
I've helped answer this question 1 or 2 times already when there weren't that many topics about it yet.

The easy way does not work for me on CM11 @ OnePlus One. Just convert my MP3 to OGG and add a TAG-FIELD worked fine! Thank you!

[Q] Help! 3ga to mp3 converter

Last night I just held my S2 at shoulder level half way back in one of my wife's concerts in a 12th century abbey here in France, and to my complete surprise the "voice recorder" has produced the most superb recording when I was about half way back in the room (swallows and bats flying around as well!).
Only one problem.
I can send the file to my box.net site and everyone can download and listen using Apple Quick Time, but the French would love to convert to mp3.
I can't seem to find a programme that does it.
Thanks for any help.
Seriously, have you ever heard about Google? Chances are it's your phone browser's homepage... In the forum rules, you're strongly advised to use the search function. Guess what? It doesn't only apply to the forum: whenever you need an information please search first and then ask for help if you don't find anything. Opening a thread for such a topic instead of using google...
Mods please close this useless thread.

Arrogant! Go back to where you come from. You could read the thread subject and avoid it if you don't want to give you help.
I was looking for the same info, as I didn't find anything useful by searching on google.
May work for you to change 3ga to mp3
Hi,
This isn't very technical, however, I just changed the file extension from .3ga to .mp3 . I just gave it a try out of frustration and it now plays as an mp3 on all of my devices.
be sure to copy the file and then change the file extension on the copied file in case it doesn't work for you.
Hope it helps.
Hi major c,
I had the same problem a few days ago. I solved the 3ga to mp3 converting problem and wrote a small HowTo. I used the programm "3GP to MP3 Converter".
Here you will find a short description how to convert 3ga to mp3 files.
Hope this helps you,

While this method allowed me to play the file, I still couldn't edit it, since it's not actually an mp3 file. I tried the SUPER converter software suggestion posted earlier. Great conversion software that is completely free and supports the .3ga format (as well as many others). Worked for me.
thanks for links to super and formatoz otherwise I would be going around in circles.

I arrived here via google..
I had a 58 minute file that needed to convert, and although changing the extension did allow me to play the file on the computer, it began after the 12 or 15 min to have blank spaces in the audio (like if I pressed "mute" for a second every 20 or 30 seconds).
The solution with SUPER erightsoft did worked perfectly, dropped the file, selected mp3 and reenconded it in 10 minutes. I just played the entire file and it doesn't has any gaps or blank spaces.
Thanks!

Nice, renaming it worked. Go figure!!

my ringtones don't repeat

any custom ringtone i try on the phone, whether .ogg .mp3 .wav will only ring once and stop repeating during the call, however the phone keeps vibrating on
stock tones work fine
another sidebug: if you have no bars and try to make a call, the phone gives you error saying to turn off airplane mode which it's not in
wtf??
I have the same issue
same here.. I want my custom ringtone to be used on my new GN
I've found that myself...
MP3 ringtones won't repeat.
It will loop ringtones if you convert the mp3 to OGG format, and in the file info (you can edit this in Winamp for example), create a field called ANDROID_LOOP and set the value to TRUE.

Funnily enough, in the folder called "ringtones" when you connect it up to your PC.
There's a seperate folder for notifications...
and there's also a seperate folder for alarms!
Fun isnt it?

Interesting, so they're forcing us to use the OGG format.
Will the created field work on a regular MP3?

I don't use winamp, but itunes.
How can i edit the file info?
I can edit information about title, album, author..
Could someone post a screenshot of the created field with winamp ?
Same issue here with a mp3 again as above.
Will try to create and edit the ogg later.
Oh, I cannot imagine OGG format can solve the problem. Before I see this, I write a really little app to solve the problem.
Cyclic Ringtone

Yes, sucks that it doesn't loop.
You guys can always use a program called "goldwave" to lengthen your mp3's. Copy and paste the mp3 until it's as long as you need...

No, I did not dismiss your solution. On the contrary, I do really appreciate the OGG+ANDROID_LOOP way to solve the ringtone issue I apologize if I give you an impression that I don't like it.
It just turn out that I see this thread after I have finished the app...
As a ordinary user point of view, I like your solution more than mine. But there are scenarios that it is not always easy to convert a ringtone to OGG from MP3 and add a flag on the street. (may be someone develop an app for that? )
I found it easier to convert the file in Audacity and in the save dialog box you can add a new field called ANDROID_LOOP and set it to 'True'
Worked fine
Thank you all for the very useful information I have found in this thread. I have a question though: is this also applicable for alarms, or just for actual ringtones? TIA

I was "served" with this issue too with my brand new Galaxy Nexus. The ring tones I use are already in OGG format, just lacked the ANDROID_LOOP tag. Instead converting them again with Audacity, I found a little proggie which can just edit the tags. Here is a link to the download location - http://www.gausi.de/flogger-en.html
Sources are included as well as pre-compiled version (just exe to start - no installation or anything - very simple). Precompiled one is in German, but isn't difficult to figure out. Worked for me like a charm to make my ring tones looping. Thanks for the ANDROID_LOOP tip!!!

hmm...not sure about alarms, the ones i took off my old N900 repeat OK when the alarm goes off so i dont know if it's just rings tones, why not give it a try and see for youself?
Not like you have to wait for your usual alarm to test it!
And for the linux guys (like me) this is a simple batch command that will convert a mp3 file to a an ogg auto-repeat ringtone:
mpg321 custom_ringtone.mp3 -w raw && oggenc raw -c "ANDROID_LOOP=TRUE" -o custom_ringtone.ogg ; rm -f raw

MP3 ringetone not looping

Hi, on my GN 4.0.2 I have selected a mp3 as my ringtone. The strange thing is that after playing the "song" once, it stops ringing. On my old SGSII the same mp3 file was looping until call was answered. Anyone experiencing the same, or have a solution?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
You need to convert the .mp3 to a .ogg and add the field "ANDROID_LOOP=True" there is a thread on here somewhere about it.
No idea why mp3's dont loop on this phone

Wow. Okay to access notifications you gotta reach Whatsapp settings first. The first page of whatsapp hit the menu button(or 3 dot) and click settings. There you can select notification sound for group and 1v1 conversations. Cheers.

Not sure, but my guess would be its in one of the sound directories. Probably not on the sd card directory, more likely system.

xda does not condone pirating of anything, including music. and from someone with 2k posts, you should know this.
