Ability to pause and continue recording video??? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

My wife has a Samsung Infuse and I recently discovered that it has a pause button on the screen while recording video. She can record and then pause, and then continue the same recording instead of having to make multiple recordings. It's very cool. How come my Galaxy S2 can't do this(or can it)? Is there a camera apk out there that has this feature and will work with the Epic Touch?

this would be awesome!

Now I remember why I never post my questions in the Q&A section...

I guess I'm the only one who thinks this is a cool feature huh.... Anyone???
That feature to be intergrated would take abit of work. Not alot.abit. usually there's no point in a feature like that since its the same as throwing them together ina timeline. (Video editing) not even camcorders have this feature far as I remember.

I had to play with the settings to get it to work. It has to be on 800x480 resolution, started at 1920x1080 - think. I can't remember if anything else was wrong. You are right kenlperry, the pause function would be a great addition to a mod. LGcamera or LGcamcorder is nice also, thanks to agrenwa! Paid version cost $1.95 which is actually worth the function if you want to make some cool movies. Ban-chewa-bow-bow!

You know, the original Epic 4G could do that as well. I had one and asked the dev, Myn, if he would or could do it for me at the time as well - make it work for an EVO...? Nobody seemed interested at all... I love that feature! I even have an LG Lotus clamshell that shoots and pauses and shoots... What's up with that..? LOL!
Thanks guys. Yep, I'm using the lgcamera app now too. Like someone else said, the higher resolution settings don't work though, but 800x480 will do when necessary. I like this feature alot, particularly when I'm recording my kids. It would be an awesome feature to have built into the Epic Touch. I wonder why the Infuse has it and the original Epic had it but the Epic Touch does not? Hmmmmm!

[q] miui rom video playback sound delay

Whenever I make a video on 720P on my ARC and I then play it back, I get a delay that the sound is like 2 seconds off from the picture. This is not just happening on my ARC but also in my Samsung galaxy S2 when I use 1080P definition to make the video. This seems to be dependent on MIUI GB ROM which are installed on both phones. If someone knows how to fix this or if they have come across a patch or if I have to modify a refresh rate or something, please let me know. Thank you.

Video recording audio

Hey there guys, I wanted to ask a question about video recording.
I'm going to a show in 2 weeks & I want to record some bands. I've recorded a few shows in the past & the picture quality is awesome. The audio, however, is not. It sounds too..crispy & distorted. One day, I borrowed my brother's iPod touch & recorded with it. Although the picture isn't that great, the audio is much more clean than with the Epic.
I've messed with the Voodoo recording presets & I honestly can't even tell the difference between the 3 options.
I have noticed that recording ANY kind of audio with the Epic picks up TONS of background noise (white noise) in quiet environments. I could use other things to record, but since I have the Epic (with the 32gb microSD, it beats the iPod by a mile,) I might as well put it to use.
So I was wondering, what tips would you guys have when it comes to recording in loud environments?

[Q] Audio quality on video recording?

To those of you who have the Note 2 in your hands already, I'm curious what your thoughts are on the mic quality. When recording video, how is the audio? Specifically, imagine recording vid of a live band in a club room.... Is it as bad as previous Samsung mics? Does the Note 2 happen to have built in mic sensitivity settings? Or does it look like it'll require another root/voodoo type setup.
Thanks
Nobody recorded video this weekend?

Bump.
I haven't been anywhere with live/loud music to record (and I imagine others haven't either, hence the lack of responses) but in general usage it seems a little loud so I'm not sure how well it will do with loud music.
For example here's a video I took recently http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDb9mE5cpNY (friend gets a bit loud at 1:50)
However I'm not sure if this is a result of the volume mod in this thread or not as I haven't recorded any videos without it.
Ok thanks,
Seems like a very sensitive mic in this video. I was hoping stock would offer more settings for mic control by now. A little surprised this thread isn't getting much traffic.
Voodoo sound is the perfect fix for my current dev. I guess I'll see if that is or will be an option for note2
Here's another video playing music on my really old, ****ty speakers at max volume: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXGOhIz_7eQ
It did a lot better than I expected, coming from my sgs2 (that mic would distort if you looked at it funny)
audio quality when record a vid or a voice notes
Please if u can fix this thing that it will be so amazing .. i need that cuz i love to go clubbing and recoed vid .. also the mic when i record any song on whatsapp (voice note( is awful... im trying to search for a kernel or a mod to fix this ...

[Q] Best Screencast settings for be best results?

Hey all! I have a quick question to ask everyone. I make YouTube videos using Screencast Video Recorder and I noticed after getting a new phone, the Note 2 for Sprint, that my videos are pixelated? For example when I'm recording and I am not doing anything on the screen and just explaining things, the picture quality in that part of the video is sharp and smooth looking. But when I am moving around and opening things while recording, or playing games, the video gets blocky and the quality is just ruined. I had no problems with this running on my EVO 3D running at 25fps. So if anyone can help out on how to reduce the bad quality and have a smoother video that would be greatly appreciated.
My current settings for Screencast are: High video res, FPS: 25 (which is why I don't see why the video should be blocky looking since even the EVO 3D can handle that and the benchmarks say it can record in 40fps.)
I am wondering about actual phone settings that might help me out. Since I'm running 4.1.2 I have to have Force GPU rendering on in the dev options as well as Disable hardware overlays. I was wondering if turning power saving mode on would help but only have screen power saving check since that lowers the actual screen frame rate maybe that will work?
Since I can't post links yet, search BambiTyer on YouTube. Or /BambiTyler.
*scroll down to recent uploads, the uploads of Minecraft and "Is getting an LTE device worth it?" are two videos recorded with the Note 2.*
