Whenever I make a video on 720P on my ARC and I then play it back, I get a delay that the sound is like 2 seconds off from the picture. This is not just happening on my ARC but also in my Samsung galaxy S2 when I use 1080P definition to make the video. This seems to be dependent on MIUI GB ROM which are installed on both phones. If someone knows how to fix this or if they have come across a patch or if I have to modify a refresh rate or something, please let me know. Thank you.

i don't know if is a bug or what, but when i record a vertical video and later play it i don't see the video in the same orientation that i've recorded it insteed i see it horizontal... maybe someone can help me
That's normal as far as I know - jpg offers rotation in the exif-information but I haven't actually heard of any video codec offering the same thing - this would be very heavy on the CPU considering the video would have to be rendered entirely after the rotation.
thanks for your answer
There's a thread over in the Note section about poor black rendering in some videos. Could someone try out the sample on the Nexus and see if that too shows the same artifacts? The clip is here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?53da859r2gu8b8q,p4zi4js5g42uxu4
Trying to determine if this is specific to the Note, the screen, or possibly poor software/codec rendering...
* Bump *
I havent seen any other discussion about this based on the search terms I've used and some people said that the Nexus also suffers from the same issue.
Can anyone perform some testing ?

Use the stock player (HW acceleration mode)
Set the screen brightness on the player to lowest
View in a dark room to avoid any distraction from reflections, viewing this with ambient light actually makes it less problematic.

I've downloaded video from first post but video player refuses to play it, sorry. But i was able to play above posted .mkv file and yes, picture looks pretty bad in very dark areas. I don't think we can change anything, that's how our SAMOLED works.

Thanks for trying the video above, other SAMOLED devices display it video w/o any issues.. Like the Samsung Wave , Galaxay S1 and Galaxy S2.
What bothers me though is that on some Galaxy Note's with the very same settings and scenario above it has far lesser issues.
Im actually surprised this is not covered on the Galaxy Nexus sub forums, maybe no one watches HD movies on a 4.65" screen ?
More feedback from users would be nice so samsung can take a look at this issue.
I have seen this on several videos. I thought it was because of codec but realized did not happen on any other device i had.

Android 4.0 does not have native .mkv support like TW devices. It has the ability to hardware decode because the OMAP4460 chipset can decode it but after the update to 4.0.2 divx support was removed for some reason.
4.0.2 changelog:
Device features
Optimized Mobile Hotspot when used with VPN.
Optimized 3G/4G data sessions for faster response times.
Fixed an incorrect notification that “data was disconnected due to roaming”.
Wi-Fi now automatically reconnects when returning to a known Access Point.
Improvements to special visual effects feature when using front-facing camcorder.
Visual improvements to the lock screen.
Email & messaging
Fixed an issue where some email attachments would not open correctly.
Apps & Widgets
DivX support has been removed, and will be supported in a future upgrade.
Improved audio volume in Google navigation turn-by-turn directions.
Try it with mVideo or Dice player, it should work.
Any of the many good video players should work.
MX Video Player even has dual-core support...
I've definitely noticed this about the Nexus screen. I don't know if it's as bad as the Note or not, but I started a couple of huge threads on android forums (some reference the Note thread, so there may be a circular reference thing going on ):
http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...ing-effect-nexus-other-hd-amoled-screens.html
http://androidforums.com/verizon-ga...ifacts-black-areas-during-video-playback.html
I would love to know if there are any workarounds or if supercurio will be able to help the Nexus owners similar to what he's doing for the Note.
To those of you who have the Note 2 in your hands already, I'm curious what your thoughts are on the mic quality. When recording video, how is the audio? Specifically, imagine recording vid of a live band in a club room.... Is it as bad as previous Samsung mics? Does the Note 2 happen to have built in mic sensitivity settings? Or does it look like it'll require another root/voodoo type setup.
Thanks
Nobody recorded video this weekend?

Bump.
I haven't been anywhere with live/loud music to record (and I imagine others haven't either, hence the lack of responses) but in general usage it seems a little loud so I'm not sure how well it will do with loud music.
For example here's a video I took recently http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDb9mE5cpNY (friend gets a bit loud at 1:50)
However I'm not sure if this is a result of the volume mod in this thread or not as I haven't recorded any videos without it.
Ok thanks,
Seems like a very sensitive mic in this video. I was hoping stock would offer more settings for mic control by now. A little surprised this thread isn't getting much traffic.
Voodoo sound is the perfect fix for my current dev. I guess I'll see if that is or will be an option for note2
Here's another video playing music on my really old, ****ty speakers at max volume: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXGOhIz_7eQ
It did a lot better than I expected, coming from my sgs2 (that mic would distort if you looked at it funny)
audio quality when record a vid or a voice notes
Please if u can fix this thing that it will be so amazing .. i need that cuz i love to go clubbing and recoed vid .. also the mic when i record any song on whatsapp (voice note( is awful... im trying to search for a kernel or a mod to fix this ...

Hi
I am having issues on all CM based ROMs
I have a Canadian Variant of this phone
My camera recording is not working correctly.
Recorded video looks interlaced. Like lines of pixels don't line up when things move if played back on the phone or on VLC player. On Windows media player video playback is choppy like frames are missing.
When sent through any sharing program (Watsapp, Facebook etc) recipient only sees black screen with sound.
When i upload video to Google back up or YouTube video playback is normal but quality seams diminished.
On TW based ROMs i don't have this issue.
Reading through the forums i found other people complaining about this but have failed to find a solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Its been bug that has been there for over a year, so dont get your hopes up.
Which roms have you tried that worked? Neither of the ones I have tested works.
Hey guys i'm new here and sorry about my bad English grammar.
i'm a rhythm player and i found out that my Redmi Note 8 Pro screen recorder only have 1Mbps and 4Mbps on video quality only. The audio also a bit delay when i was recording games such as BangDream or Cytus II.
Did anyone the audio delay problem too?
For me, I'm not experiencing significant audio delaying issues. But, I'm only recording lightweight task like Instagram stories and video instead of games like Cytus. So, I'm thinking maybe the "audio delay" u experiencing is maybe due to the increased load in CPU?
Have u tried to record in lower resolution and lower quality? Does it helps with the "audio delay"?

I tried it before, the problem still there. Wasn't the CPU problem because i will make sure the background apps are closed when i record videos. Close the game turbo performance mode or even game turbo itself still didn't solve my problem :/
