You must likely just need to flash the modules, no worry, its easy to do... here is a link to download the modules.....
Wifi Modules
Just move the .zip to your sdcard, then go into CWM and install from sd card. enjoy.

Thanks for the answer, but it doesn't work.
I haven't installed the CWM, i have an other Recovery mod, is this a problem?

Not sure if it makes a difference but trying using the CWM Recovery, that what i use. Im also using the GBTweaked ROM. Maybe the wifi modules i linked arent compatible with your ROM. Are you on R800X, R800i, R800a, or R800at? I think the modules i linked are only for R800X, so you would probably have to find someone with the same version as you and have them back up their wifi modules and send them to you.

kernel
I've an other question: i'Verlag flashed Thema Doomlord Kernel andere now i Santa Tor flash an other one, when i flash one, in cmd it works but when i reboot the phone, i have The Same doomlord Kernel. How can i change that?

Ain't sure if I understanded you right but if you flashed another Doomlord Kernel they probably have the same splashscreen.

Sorry i have some problems with writing on the phone Keyboard
When i look in settings>phone Informations, it shows that the kernel isn't changed... when i flash, there arent any problems, but it didn't work ...

Here is the thread about basebands:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20113685
Just download the ftf file of the baseband you want ( i prefer 36 baseband because of the good battery life) and flash it with flashtool. then you have to flash the equal baseband lib via cwm.
You don't need to flash wifi modules if you are on doomkernel because it's already integrated

Awsome so even Doom kernel V18 has the Wifi intergrated?
nope
download and put in on you're sd cart, then flash in cwm the zip.

Of course! Since v16 it is integrated. Your link is for the modules of v15.
You just need to flash doomkernel v18

No way;
since i have changed the kernel version string stock wifi modules will no longer work on my kernel...
if u try to enable them on new kernel (v14 onwards) u will get "ERROR" while starting WIFI...
i will be providing modules for my kernel which HAVE TO BE FLASHED VIA RECOVERY for wifi/bt (and other things) to work correctly
stock modules will also be provided which again will have to be flashed via recovery if u want to return to stock kernel OR if u revert to older v13 or lower kernels
remember i have already told this to u guys... if i see some users reporting that wifi is giving error because u did not follow my instructions ur post WILL BE IGNORED....

One last question , i have teh kernel, i have the module and basband files but how do i install LT15_LT18_36_Baseband.ftf via flash tool? i have the ftf and lib files but when i try to flash the ftf file with flash tool it says i must conect in flash mode and when i try that whiel following the instructions it just either boots to safe mode or cwm mode.
What am i doing wrong guys?
Make sure you're device is in flashmode.
Power off ,hold on backbutton and plugin you're device, check if the led is green.
Flash the ftf.
If you see any error on the screen ,read it and check it on you,re device ...usb/unknownsources etc enable
I tried the menu button and the back button, it just goes into CWM screen, with blue led. Cant seen to get green led to show. i have .42 build.
You can't see anything ,because you're device is turned off, only thing you can see is flashtools window.
Ok:
1 put the ftf file in the firmware folder in flashtools.
2 power off you''re device..hold on backbutton and plugin.
3 return to flashtools and hit the flashbutton/select flashmode.
4 Now you see the ftf and flash it.
O Snap, iv been turning the phone back on all the time thats why!
Thanks alot man, got it finaly.
Thanks guys for answering all my silly questions. My Arc and I are happy now
Ok ..I'm happy to read it's working now.
Happy flashing :-]
Howzit guys, another quick question with regards to Kernel and the full touch recovery.I flashed the V19 Doom kernel on my phone abut cant seen to figure out how to acces the full touch recovery thou?
I tried using the back button, the menu buttom and even volup and down button but keep getting to the CWM-Based recovery v5.0.2.7-nAa-r2, funny thing is that yesterday i got to the full touch revoery menu but today im getting to this menu even if i keep tapping the button after i try tapping the button after i see the blue light.
Any idea? what am i doing wrong now again

[Help][UPDATE2]CWM and returning to stock

Hello everyone at XDA.
I currently have Cyanogenmod 7.2 on my Xperia Play. I used CWM to install Cyanogenmod. I installed CWM using the apk here. My Xperia Play is an r800a with unlocked bootloader.
I have 3 questions left to answer.
1.If I want to return to factory condition do I just flash the original .ftf file? Will this cause any problems to CWM? Will having CM7 then flashing a stock .ftf possibly cause any problems?
2.The thread that shows how to install CWM has a warning that says
Do NOT use this recovery if you are not in Stock 2.3 firmware.
Well right now I am on CM7.2 can I still use this recovery if I want to flash other roms like miui? What does this warning mean?
Here is the thread
3. Also if I need to is there anyway to remove CWM?
Thanks so much for any help.
Deleted
I know bumping is wrong but I made this into a new question and rather than posting a new message I edited it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
when u flash stock rom it should wipe everything - even recovery (im not sure). Flashing ftf file should give u phone like u had when u got it (but with unlocked bootloader if u did it)

But won't already having CM7.2 cause any problems? Also won't have a custom kernel cause any problems?
when u flash stock rom ftf it overwrite kernel using stock contained in ftf file (kernel.sin)

No. Flashing the ftf will wipe all traces of the custom kernel and any custom rom. It's like doing a factory refresh.

No Wifi nor BT

Hi,
I bought the phone used (r800i) and flashed it right away I didn't check if wifi worked or not. But now it doesn't :/
I tried DoomLord Kernel with the modules, tried the LuPuS one too with no luck :crying:
Tried ICS and GB with those kernels and nothing :/
Also tried with flashtools the following roms still with no luck:
R800i_4.0.2.A.0.58_EnhancedV2
R800i_4.0.2.A.0.62_(1253-4437)
R800i_4.0.2.A.0.42_Generic_UK
R800i_4.0.2.A.0.58_Enhanced
R800i_4.0.A.2.368_World
Wifi and BT show mac address unavailable :/
I've read a lot of threads but in every case it should be simple, flash kernel, flash rom and flash modules after, but I can't get it to work
Thanks.
Edit: Tried more roms, also bluetooth now works. but still no wifi
Maybe this thread will help: http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...-cant-turn-wi-fi-cant-access-mac-address.html (not XDA)

You need to flash the wifi fix for you kernel. Flash it with cwm recovery not with flash tool. Hope this would help.. thanks me then
Did you flash the correct module?

Yeah I believe so. I flashed the 4.0.A.2.368 tft and wifi didn't work. Yesterday I tried flashing the doomkernel v03 for that firmware and it didn't change a thing.
I believe it may be a hardware problem.

Wait, v03? That's ICS kernel isn't it? And most of Xperia Play's development uses .42/.58/.62 firmware so you might be using the wrong kernel with the wrong firmware.

Flash the firmware with flashtool, then flash kernel. Power on your device, keep pressing L, that will bring you to CWM. Go install zip from sd, select zip from sd, then select doomkernel v14 wifi modules. Install that. Then your WiFi should work now.
I've read and the v03 was the right kernel for 4.0.A.2.368. I was in that fw because I tried almost every tft available.
I also tried what you said and still got the same result. Thanks for your help anyway
If you flash only ftf and don't flash doomkernel? Still the same?

[SOLVED] Best Kernal and Rom for R800i

Hi All,
I was wondering if you could help me out and advise which kernal and ROM would be best to use for my R800i
Android Version: 2.3.4
Build Number: 4.0.2.A.0.42
Many thanks Thanks in advance
If you bought your Play only, only for pure gaming, there's nothing better than JokaWildv3 with Doomkernel v14. Forget the other kernels and ROMs, feel the real power of that monster in your pocket with these two!

I am noob to all this and wondered if the DoomKernal is a pre-rooted kernal or do i need to root first via flashtool?
Also can i keep the firmware at 4.0.2.A.0.42 or am i required to change this too?
Thanks
Yes, it's pre-rooted so no further rooting is necessary. Here's the link for the both:
JokaWild v3:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1532883
Doomkernel v14:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176502
And yes, I strongly recommend to change your FW to .62 or .69. I've tried with the new .79 one btw, and it worked like a charm. Newer is better I guess?
I'm here for a while, so feel free to post if you encounter any problems.
Good luck!
Thanks for your help!! :fingers-crossed:
I'm at work so wont be doing it till I get home but will post if I come across any issues but I have a couple of questions
which order do I do it in? Do I flash the firmware to .79 then the kernal and then the ROM or in a different sequence?
Also does the DoomKernal v14 contain CWM Recovery or do i need to install this after flashing the kernal?
Do I also need to install the goggle apps and the wifi module?

Yes I'm a total noob
You're welcome. And my bad, I was going to explain them but I forgot, I'm kinda sleepy, sorry .
1.First flash the FW via flashtool.
2-Copy the JokaWildv3.zip to your memory card. Any location is fine.
2.Boot your device in fastboot mode and flash Doomkernel v14. It contains CWM Recovery module, yes Doomlord handled everything.
3.Reboot your device, when the device vibrates AFTER the Doomkernel logo, press the back button. Select the CWM recovery from the menu, then select install zip from the card. Choose JokaWildv3.zip (Do NOT extract the files). The installation process takes 2 minutes. After that, reboot again and enjoy!
Thanks for all you help, I'm sure ill be in touch if i fail miserably.
Just to confirm, I don't need to root first do I? the kernal is pre-rooted?
So once I've unlocked my bootloader I can just flash the kernal, wifi modules and then install the ROM via CWM?

[Q] Trying to install Xperia Play Z final version, very confused. (r800a)

Hey guys, as the post title says, I'm trying to install the xperia play z rom, and I'm hitting a lot of road blocks. First one is, I don't even know if my phone's bootloader is unlocked! I'm pretty sure it is, because I thought all r800a's came with an unlocked bootloader, and I also used the flashtool, unlock bootloader tool, and it said it was already unlocked.
So, naturally what I do, is I flash the firmware in the guide (located here - http://www.android-hilfe.de/root-cu...a-play/417392-rom-xperia-play-z-v1-1-0-a.html), and after that I want to root it so I can install a recovery. But when I try to root it, it always fails on part 1. So I tried to install cyanogenmod recovery without it. But after the apk is installed, i'm not able to install the actual recovery because it is not rooted.
My main problem with the guide is that it says to just boot into clockworkmod recovery, but I don't know how to. I turn on the phone and press the up button, but without installing the CWM/X-parts recovery, there's no way I can expect it to come up.
Any help please? I'm totally lost here. I know how to get roms that are based on gingerbread, but for some reason, Ics/Jellybean roms don't work at all, and I don't know if it is whether because my phones bootloader isn't unlocked (even though it says it is), or it's something else, like me missing a tutorial specifically for ics/jellybean roms.
Thanks in advance.

yes, boot.img is inside the zip. Unpack just that file and flash it with flashtool (in fastboot mode). But you must have unlocked bootloader to be able to flash any custom kernel

Sorry, another question. What happens is that when I try to flash an ics kernel, it goes into an infinite bootloop, but when I flash a gingerbread kernel, it works fine. Is this a sign of a locked bootloader? Cause I thought you wouldn't be able to install any kernels if it was locked.

If you flash ics kernel, you won't be able to boot your old gb rom. Ics kernel only boot into ics rom.

Thank you so much. Worked like a charm.
For future readers -
a. The r800a indeed does come with bootloader unlocked
b. It is normal for the phone to bootloop, Just go into recovery like normal and install the rom .zip. (It's usually tapping back while starting the phone, but if that doesn't work, try up volume or down volume)
