Amzer Jelly case from Amazon

Just got this case today. The case feels so cheap and loosely. All I wanted to say is I don't like it and won't recommend anyone getting it.
But I will live with it though.

Finally a review with pics on the amzer for the Vibrant... I've been wondering about this one for a while, finally your review with some good clear pics have pushed me not to get the Amzer and get the Tmobile case instead.

Yea I got the amzer jelly case as well it was okay but felt a little too cheap it seemed like the phone could come out very easily cause the mold wasn't even that great.
I also didn't think they'd brand the crap out of it like that, the pictures didn't show that on their site.
I wouldn't get anything from amzer anymore because I also got the screen protectors and that wasn't really an exact fit neither. I sent an email regarding that to them and no reply.

That's too bad. I had had high hopes for the Amzer products. Hopefully their TPU stuff is a little better.

Got the black slicone from Tmobile today and I am happy. It doesn't get the dust like the one I bought from ebay from China also has a good snug fit also not like the ebay one. Funny thing though the Tmobile one says made in china.... but it is a better quality silicone.

Arrived today as well. I'm returning it. Garbage, this is not what they had pictured when I ordered it.

So I read about 50 pages of forums before buying from amazon.. just got white and purple jelly from amzer .. these are nice with no loose color and working for my vibrant. Also, the purple shown in the picture is a lot darker than the purple that arrives, which is really a very light purple. Camera, speaker cutouts are perfect, volume toggle and power button could use a little more pronounced rubber, but all in, it's working great. am also waiting for luxe argyle case .. these got lot of praise on amazon

Got my amzer jelly and amzer luxe argyle cases today. I will try and take some pics when I get home tonight. The jelly will likely get sent back. It's not what I ordered and it's not nearly as nice as the argyle.
The jelly has a thinner rubber that's loose on the sides. The argyle is a smoother, thicker and harder type of rubber. The fit is very tight on the phone and the cutouts are perfect. The rubber looks and feels smooth, but it's not a slippery smooth. It is tacky enough to stay put when you have it in your hand or set it on a desk, but it's not tacky enough that it sticks to the insides of you pockets and grabs all the lint. So far I'm impressed.

I've been using the T-Mobile case I got when the phone came out. I love it comes out of my pocket without sticking just hope they make good hard cases or come out with more cool colors.

I agree this silicone case blows...worst silicone case I have ever bought. I bought it a couple of weeks ago and my Vibrant floats inside the case badly. Also, the volume and power button extrusions are flush and difficult to locate. Poor thought in design. Score: -5

I have the argyle tpu case..and the TPU is more stiff than the chinese tpu I currently have on now.

I bought the Amzer from Amazon as well. No good! Too loose. I has already ordered a 99 cent with 99 cent shipping plain black jelly on ebay and it was actually a bit tighter.

Needless to say I got one and it was fine. Not as tight as I'd like, but much better than the Amzer.
An _identical_ looking one is here, albeit at a much higher price.

I wanted to post a review for you guys. This is the best case I've ever used on the T989 or for any phone for that matter. Fits extremely well and has excellent fit and finish (I'm extremely picky) and most importantly the buttons on the side (lock button and volume rockers) are very clicky and have a great feel--unlike a lot of silicone cases where the buttons feel like mush and unresponsive. EXCELLENT BUY. The phone now feels solid and grippy all without getting stuck in your pocket. The back is smooth. Very good balance. Without it, the phone feels flimsy and slippy.

They do have it. I think I found it on the auction site typing t989 hybrid. I don't use mine anymore.

How does it compare to the bulk of something like the Trident Aegis? I'm using the Trident Aegis right now and I'm looking for something with a slimmer profile.

Yeah i have been using this case for about 2 weeks now and its pretty nice would compare it to a trident case...pretty slim profile for a 2 piece. I would definately recommend to anyone. For the price its a good deal.

Broken.
Received mine today. Fast shipping but the top part of the metal mesh was broken. Called them up and another one is on the way. We will see how this one goes.

How is it compared to the Incipio Silicrylic case?

Yes it's available in white as well. Sorry about that! But I love this case so much! When I used the one piece case, the silicone case got loose over time. Since this one has a hard plastic piece which encases the phone. I dont see that happening here. I'll gladly pay the $8 every 3 months if it came to that though.. great feeling case

For anyone that may have both how does the protection compare to the aegis. I have the Aegis and like it but it is definitely bulky

I ordered both the Trident and Ballistic. I prefered the Ballistic because of the beefier corners. Better protection if dropped. About the same size as the Trident. No experience witht the case of OP. But, I think you usually get what you pay for.

however, the only gripe I have is that the silicone half doesn't fit as tight around the phone as I would like. but other than that I love it.

Thanks Synenergy52, I went ahead and bought one. I want to especially thank you for the nice detailed (nice resolution and angled) pictures; it's very helpful when you can see an actual image--not some 'stock' photograph on the buyer's page.

Interestingly, that seller has several color variants. Too bad I'm not very original, although I was tempted with their neon green and black case, hence why I went for the black one (also because that's the one I could see an actual image of, thanks to your review).

I was sold more on this thread, than I was when I looked at the product on the purchase page.

Had mine a couple months, like it alot. Bought a slimmer s/hard gel type skin which I like more becuse of slimline but it added the echo to my conversations, even with the card trick. So am back to this one.

Exactly my opinion as well. I feel like the silicone material needs to be a tad bit harder so it doesn't flex so much. Which I would gladly pay much more for.

Amazon doesn't have the all white one. Looking for another alternate case.

Had one and returned it. I had the navy with white stripe. Looks really good but buttons are easily pressed by accident because it is a TPU case that covers the buttons. I returned it because of that and because it is expensive. I got a diztronic tpu case for $10 and like it a lot more. Plus the neo hybrid has the colored stripe that is hard plastic and would easily break if dropped.

I have the purple with white (Infinity White) one although the grey with yellow or grey with blue would also look good. I agree, it's a big issue that the buttons are too easy to press, and to be honest, it would've been better if they had just left cutouts for the buttons. I emailed them and this is what they had to say:

They're great and I've been using them since they were still called TPU-Cases (the company name). The owner is a member here on XDA and is a great guy. Personally I've been using the CaseMate Pop! with Kickstand (white) for its protection and also because the phone is really thin so I wanted a slightly thicker case.

Please do, I really like the looks of this case.

i emailled sgp bout the button sensitivity issue and they got back to me promptly. Basically they will issue u a replacement case if u have been sold one that is "faulty". really good service i'd say

I ordered one of these had the button issue. So I shaved the inside of the buttons on the cases works fine. Just curious to see what it's like with the "fixed" version.

Bastard lol. That's the one I wanted but when I ordered it they only had Infinity White. Oh well, still looks good. Yeah, the i9100 case used rubber. Now everyone is using TPU.

I've had it for like a month now. They're shipping me a replacement for the button sensitivity issue.

I purchased one from ebay also, but it did have the button sensitivity issue, sanded it down a little and is working perfectly, now my phone looks and feels like it should. Extremely glad to get my 2 quid case and 1p screen protector off, before anyone else saw it.

Front and Back shots of the case's design. The S-Line is what separates the 2 texture/materials. BTW, I have the GSM nexus, not sure how it will fit for CDMA/LTE/ETC.
The material on the sides of the case is a bumpy rubber, allowing a more firm grip. The case material layers over the POWER and VOLUME buttons, the VOLUME side has 2 different bumps that are separated into + and - resulting in a more natural feel. The POWER button layover however, doesn't really return a tactile response when you press it, not a huge issue- more of a personal pet peeve i guess.
There is a slight lip that surrounds the front of the phone so you won't have to worry about scratching your screen if you lay it face down. The lip won't provide rock hard protection but it is better than nothing and it should be able to absorb some of the shock if it were to fall face first.
All the areas of the phone have proper cutouts
pogo pins
headphone jack
bottom mic
micro-usb slot
speaker
camera
top mic
not sure what that 2-hole area is below the speaker is, maybe its for attaching those string phone key-chains or whatever.
Overall, for the price I feel that this case isn't too bad, besides the PWR button pet peeve I have, I would recommend this case. I can't compare it to other cases yet, but maybe I will once I get the urge to purchase more cases. it can happen.

Looks pretty sweet! I'm using (and have been using) the otterbox case for a year now and I'm looking for something different. Something that looks nice even though it may not provide as much protection as the otterbox. Unfortunately I was using a different case for about a week or so and my phone fell face first onto the street. The screen was fine, however there are some noticeable nicks on the top and sides now, so I'm looking for a cover that goes around the whole phone.
How long did it take to arrive? Does it only come in black? I see the other colors on the amazon page but it doesn't give the option to choose a different color when you try to buy, unless I missed it.

Nice! I used to have Prime, but it expired and I don't really want to spend $39 right now to renew, so I think I'd have to do $5 extra for shipping, but i think it' worth it since Verizon charges like $25 for a plain old cover.

good find but tbh not everybody uses ebay.

Just wanted to post and say that I got this case! I'd do my own review, but honestly the OP's review is spot on. The only "issue" I would bring up (as did the OP) is the power button response. Sometimes I'm not sure if I hit the power button or not, but it's really not as big of a deal as it sounds. I'd give it a 8.5/10 and it's worth a purchase if you need a case.
I also got the same color as the one in the pictures above, so I can't comment on the other colors, but you can't go wrong with any imo.

I have a similar case and looking for one for my daughter. I think I will get her this one as she wants to keep it as slim as possible and I believe they will work with the extended battery, just a bit snugger is all. Now to find a screen protector, augh, so many choices...

Luardi Slim Bumper (Best Bumper So Far)

For the past six months, I've been searching and waiting for the perfect bumper and I think I've finally found it. The other bumpers like Draco and Tedoori have button cutouts that kill the symmetry of the phone's lines. Bumpers like Spigen are plastic and just look terrible.
The one made by Luardi is slim and has nice curves that won't kill the S3's nice curves. I have yet to see someone review it here so :I will post one when I get it.
What do you guys think?

Way too expensive. But looks nice. I hope it has front and back lips so it may help protect the f and b.

Wouldn't exactly say that's anywhere near "Way too expensive". Considering other aluminum bumpers like the Draco Design's one is nearly double the price....

Actually, it's on sale on eBay and you can pick it up for $40. Still pricey but not bad. Hope it's worth it.

Does anyone know things will work with the metal back covers that are on Amazon , if so I'll buy one.

Metal backs will distort NFC but phone signal is not really affected that much unless your normal signal is bad to begin with.

Looks nice, if it didn't have the grip parts I might consider it.
Overall doesn't seem expensive IMHO

i'm curious, too. Thinking about possibly getting one of these, or Luardi's leather wallet case... i'd prefer staying with something that doesn't increase the bulk of the phone, but also curious about how installing the phone in Luardi's aluminum bumpers goes.

Just ordered mine
Ordered mine from ebag through Amazon for $37. First time it came the case did not look anything like the picture. It was probably a knockoff. Called Ebag and they assured me it was probably mis-packaged my employee so I'm ordering another one.
The attached picture shows the one they sent me. Just a case with a cut out for the buttons.

After some crazy Fedex routing, I finally got my bumper. At first, I glance, I was disappointed, because I got the same case as previously mentioned from eBags via Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Luardi-Aluminum-Bumper-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00ANWLUO0/). But then when I opened it up more, I realized that this was in fact the aluminum bumper, it just doesn't match the picture that Luardi / Amazon / eBags posted on their order page.
The case is more subdued than in the advertised pictures and the bumps along the size are less pronounced (I prefer that). The one thing they did design-wise was to make the top portion a thin plastic inset to hold the phone in the bumper. It seems to work, but makes the case feel cheaper. It could be that this design allows the bumper to be less bulky without additional securing closures. It looks pretty good, but it isn't as solid as I had hoped, it will creak and flex slightly when squeezed, particularly along the bottom where the plastic inset can be released.

I am trying out the case to see whether I am going to keep it. I suspect that Amazon / eBags would still authorize the return since it clearly doesn't match what they are advertising.
