For the past six months, I've been searching and waiting for the perfect bumper and I think I've finally found it. The other bumpers like Draco and Tedoori have button cutouts that kill the symmetry of the phone's lines. Bumpers like Spigen are plastic and just look terrible.
The one made by Luardi is slim and has nice curves that won't kill the S3's nice curves. I have yet to see someone review it here so :I will post one when I get it.
What do you guys think?

Way too expensive. But looks nice. I hope it has front and back lips so it may help protect the f and b.

Looks great, but way to expensive
Wouldn't exactly say that's anywhere near "Way too expensive". Considering other aluminum bumpers like the Draco Design's one is nearly double the price....
Actually, it's on sale on eBay and you can pick it up for $40. Still pricey but not bad. Hope it's worth it.
Does anyone know things will work with the metal back covers that are on Amazon , if so I'll buy one.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Metal backs will distort NFC but phone signal is not really affected that much unless your normal signal is bad to begin with.
Looks nice, if it didn't have the grip parts I might consider it.
Overall doesn't seem expensive IMHO
Anyone received theirs yet?

So how is it? Any pictures?
i'm curious, too. Thinking about possibly getting one of these, or Luardi's leather wallet case... i'd prefer staying with something that doesn't increase the bulk of the phone, but also curious about how installing the phone in Luardi's aluminum bumpers goes.
Just ordered mine
Ordered mine from ebag through Amazon for $37. First time it came the case did not look anything like the picture. It was probably a knockoff. Called Ebag and they assured me it was probably mis-packaged my employee so I'm ordering another one.
The attached picture shows the one they sent me. Just a case with a cut out for the buttons.
Pictures
After some crazy Fedex routing, I finally got my bumper. At first, I glance, I was disappointed, because I got the same case as previously mentioned from eBags via Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Luardi-Aluminum-Bumper-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00ANWLUO0/). But then when I opened it up more, I realized that this was in fact the aluminum bumper, it just doesn't match the picture that Luardi / Amazon / eBags posted on their order page.
The case is more subdued than in the advertised pictures and the bumps along the size are less pronounced (I prefer that). The one thing they did design-wise was to make the top portion a thin plastic inset to hold the phone in the bumper. It seems to work, but makes the case feel cheaper. It could be that this design allows the bumper to be less bulky without additional securing closures. It looks pretty good, but it isn't as solid as I had hoped, it will creak and flex slightly when squeezed, particularly along the bottom where the plastic inset can be released.
I took some pictures and posted them on dropbox:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/agfy6zj9tk1prni/ceJKB08chh
Let me know if there are any other angles that you want me to take.
I am trying out the case to see whether I am going to keep it. I suspect that Amazon / eBags would still authorize the return since it clearly doesn't match what they are advertising.
Digging the finger grips
Looks cool. I wonder if it's equivalent to Draco bumpers

Just got mine in. Fits well, very slim. Looks like it'll do the trick. Not sure what I was expecting for a texture, but this wasn't quite it -- very dry, slick feeling. But not smooth - it has a fine rough texture. Crystal Clear shield strikes me as good, so far - pretty slick, very clear. Not quite as slick as the glass though, I can feel it. My GF's Vibrant was just delivered, so I'm going to try them out side by side when I get home.
Some pics .. Don't mind the dust, it's a mess in my office. Surprised I managed to keep the screen clear long enough to apply it.
There's a little ghosting in a few of the images -- that's not anything on the screen, it's just from me trying to soften the flash on this cheap little camera with some paper.
UPDATE: 3 months and it broke. I tried filing a warranty claim on it because I don't think it would have broke as quick if not for the corner cut-out (design flaw in my eyes). We'll see what they say.

Thanks for the pics. Did you order from SGP directly? It looks to be the version for the Korean model (extra cutout in the corner).
Yes, ordered direct. They shipped it out the next day, took about three days to get to me coast to coast.
Yeah, it has the cut out corner. Slightly annoyed about that, but hey... Its a minor flaw in a decent case.
nice, i've heard many people praise that case.
I might have to pick one up myself!
Looks pretty sexy. I ordered a Case-Mate Barely There. If that isn't too good, I will try this!
Hope you enjoy it. ;D
I have a black silke and I'm loving it so far. Fits very snugly and provides excellent shock protection.

I considered the Barely There and their other one... the rugged case, don't remember its name right now.decided to wait until they get more color choices. Please post some pics when you get yours.
i got mine in the mail yesterday
fits very snug and it doesnt leave your phone bulky!
sgp case+realook screen protector=great protection without your phone being orson welles
I posted this in another thread about the SGP Silke case and thought I'd share it here as well.
Pasted from other thread:
I was about to buy the Ultra Silk because they look really nice. Instead for $5.95 (and free shipping) I got this exact (as far as I can tell) copy from Ebay seller MRCELLSHOP http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I am very happy with the fit, finish and weight of this case. It has exact cutouts and fits perfectly. Can't go wrong or $5.95 with free shipping!

Bump because I edited the OP -- case broke.
I had the hard mesh case which also has the corner cutout, and mine broke recently. It's not really a design flaw in the product, it's just that these cases are designed for the stock Galaxy S which has a button in that corner. Just be careful when buying a stock case vs a Vibrant case - the stock case will fit just fine but that corner will always be the weak link.
You're absolutely right. But since SGP chooses to market this case as a "Samsung Vibrant" case, I think I'm justified in calling it a design flaw. If I bought a product listed as an i9000 case it would be different.
I've had the SGP Slike for a few weeks now and really like it. The only complaint that I have is that it seems to have stretched a little from having to remove and put it back on a few time (mainly in order to pull the battery) and now it seems a little loser then it did when I first put it on.
There are many hard cases on the market and most feel like hard plastic shells. This case actually feels like rubber with the stiffness of plastic. It just feels like quality. It also manages to come about 1/4 of an inch further on the bottom and top to cover more area. The cutouts around the power and volume rockers are recessed which make a world of difference when pushing the already almost flush buttons. It also give extremely good grip. I dropped my first galaxy s3 with a casemate on it and that case didn't have any bottom or top protection and my phone suffered. I posted a picture of the damage and the casemate. If it were in the rearth it would have survived without a scratch. I can't say enough how good this case feels in the hand. Its a really slick phone and it needs a grippy case.

Glad to hear a good review. I ordered one of these for my preordered S3.:fingers-crossed:
I ordered this, the casemate barely there, the Nilkin hard case, and I bought an Affinity smoke glass hardshell from Bestbuy that I was planning to return once I got one of the cases I ordered but boy does it look nice. I might keep it. It looks gorgeous.
Is there any angle that would hit the bottom or top edge if you dropped it? like facing 45 degrees forward?

No there isn't unless it falls on a squared edge. Plus the rubbery coating gives extra protection.
if i ever buy a hardcase for my galaxy it will be this one.
glad to hear it works well.
Wow. After this case came, on the website they are giving away lanyard strap with it.......
could you post some pics of the phone with the case on it?
Thanks
Had the Slim on my SII and my Note. Absolutely loved them.
If I had a III this would be the case for me without a doubt.
It's a shame that they don't have any plans to release one for the One X.

Ordered one last night. Never used a case on my Epic 4G but that's because they were a pain to find. Looks thin enough which was my only concern. Didn't want to add on a lot of extra bulk. Thanks

I could but they wouldn't do any justice to the pics on the rearth website.
I bought one of these for my Note. For the $30 I paid for it, I expected more. Why they don't make the plastic go all the way around the bezel is beyond me. I will pass on this one for the S3.
I think it would be fragile, that the reason no cases manufacturer makes a case like this with the bottom and the top covered.
Just ordered mine, thanks for the recommendation.
It took me a while though as I could not find a slime case!

http://www.rearthusa.com/galaxy_s3_ringke_case
i think it's the size of the phone. large, but thin, that makes me feel like it will not take a fall very gracefully. fingers crossed until the case arrives.
oh also, in case anyone is having problems googling the case... it's Rearth Ringke Slim (the OP is missing a "g" and added the "e" in slime LOL)
This is an advertisement, not a review.
Got my Ringke Slim the other day. Similar to my Galaxy Nexus one, except it doesn't protect the top and bottom and it doesn't come with a screen protector or rubber port protectors. Overall I love it though, very thin. But after receiving my ROCK case, I'll probably use that more often. If you're looking for something that will make it look like you don't have a case on it, this is it.
Hey guys, I finally found a kickstand case for the Sprint LG Optimus G
The problem is, that there are no reviews, so if anyone would wanna check it out here is the link:

http://50.17.206.143/product.php?productid=77003
( there are different colors- black, white, green, pink, and blue)
you can get them for around $10 from eBay.
The quality is not looking that great from the pictures (uneven seams on the edge, etc).
But I might bite the bullet and get one anyway, the TPU case I have now is too tight and lifting the edge of the screen protector
I caved and picked one up from Amazon, will post a review when it gets here.
I ordered the same case from ebay..should get here today hopefully. If its here ill report back with some shots!

Just got it today, here's a quick review
The Good
- fits well, won't lift zagg type screen protector
- big cutouts for all the ports/camera (no problem with generic micro usb cable/random huge 3.5mm headphones)
- thick silicone (especially at the corners) offers good protection
- kickstand nicely built, doesn't feel too flimsy, works for both portrait and landscape
The Bad
- pretty big, probably the same size as the otterbox, maybe double the thickness of the phone
- quality is not great (noticeable seams on the silicone part & the plastic outer shell, they don't line up flush to each other)
- the back is kind of ugly (just my opinion, but I don't like the big cutout in the middle or the "V" pattern oh the plastic shell)
Overall
decent case for the price, and only one on the market so far if you want a kickstand. I am fairly happy with the case for now, but will see if something better comes out down the line.

All websites can be accessed via ip instead of their domain name ( 50.23.216.69/showthread.php?p=35628646 ) . If you replace just the ip address in those urls with daydeal.com it'll take you to the exact same page.
Also, I ordered this case off of ebay (which is btw daydeal.com's eBay store), and for 10 bucks it's not bad at all. Test dropped it, np. It fits perfectly right over the edge of my screen protector so it doesn't peel, and the kickstand works good

I just got this case and pretty impressed with it so far. Other than it is pretty thick (similar to the thickness of an Otterbox Commuter, maybe slightly less but not by much), it seems really well constructed. The silicone fits perfectly with the shell and is heavily reinforced in the corners. I would choose this one over the Otterbox Commuter as it seems to offer just as much protection, feels high quality, and has the added bonus of a kickstand. However, because of this case's increased thickness, I will still likely use the Diztronic as my daily case and this one for times when I go hiking or on other similar activities.
Hi guys,
Just wanted to write a quick review of a case I bought on eBay
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190823724544?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Fits all variants of the OG except for the AT&T OG (8MP camera)
Very good for $7 ($3.50 each) - I bought the black and blue.
Cutouts for camera / flash / speakers / ports well done.
Cut out for 3.55m jack more than enough to accommodate jacks with the big outer shell, if you know what I mean.
Case fits very well. No chance of falling out.
Installation was very easy.
The finish on the back feels good to the touch and rubbery side grips are good, much better than the nude slippery glass of the OG to hold now lol.
If you want a cheap case that covers the back & sides, this is the one to go to. Good for Aussies who are looking for a case!
Here's some pictures I took of it

Yeh I bought this case in a local mall close by to me.. Was surprised to see it considering the lack of cases available. Have had it on my G for the past few months and its been a treat.. Actually have dropped my phone twice with it on and its been perfect so far
My only gripe is that the elevated edges makes my screen get dirtier faster and makes it harder to clean.. Otherwise its a great case
Oooo I like the purple colour in the auction pics, but then they have a video of some silicon cases and they look ugly as and really transparent? Wonder if they would ship to NZ
im using the same case but a transparent 1  got it FOC from the stall
L-01E
Do you guys think this could fit a Japanese-spec OG; an L-01E?
Would it rip into the sceen protector and cause bubbles like most of my other cases?
Nope.using this case since i bought the phone.i like it because it's protecting the silver frame.

Just got me a black and blue one, perfect, except the buttons are a bit touchy but you get that.
I've got this tpu case and it shows a smooth finish, the holes are really well done, but I fell the buttons a bit dull, I don't know how to explain. For example, I have some difficulty to take screenshots pressing the Vol Down and Power buttons at the same time. Power button is not so easy to use.
This case looks like to offer a very good protection to the phone. I hope I won't need to prove it...

Hey, fellow Vancouverite here... Can you give me a hint where you found it locally? I know it's been a while since your post, but who knows... I have another case, but wouldn't mind getting this one, as this is exactly what I used for my SGS2, and I loved it. Thanks in advance!
I use this tpu case.
it offers good protection in falls, great price.
I'm a bit overwhelmed by the number of options available for the Nexus 5. I don't want to spend too much on a case. I'm looking for something similar to the Incipio Feather. The design should be minimalistic. Can I get such a case from eBay or Amazon for under $10?
Hopefully the case won't scratch or cause scruff marks on my Nexus 5.
Thank you!
remember you get what you pay for.

If you're looking for a hard shell case like that I wouldn't cheap out. You can get a decent TPU case for $10, but for hard plastic I would definitely spend the extra money to make sure it doesn't damage your device.

Im pretty satisfied with it. It can easily compete with much more expensive cases. It offers minimal protection, but is quite grippy and stylish :good:
the only downside is that the delivery from China took ages
Shop on Aliexpress and you can get MULTIPLE high quality cases for under $10. I just picked up a Spigen Neo Hybrid for $3.99 shipped and a Nillkin hard case for $7.20. I don't think there is a case on there over $10, and they have some amazing cases including knockoffs of the official bumpers and even Nexus 4 style bumpers for the nexus 5. Its like Disneyland, as long as you can wait a month to receive the items.

I asked about that case in another thread without getting any responses. From the pictures, the quality appears to be pretty good. Is it soft plastic or it's hard? Will the case scratch the phone? It would be nice if there's a bit of texture on the case to make it more grippy.

it is hard plastic, harder than the phone's backplate, but it wont scratch it, dont worry
the case is indeed textured, which makes it as grippy as a hard plastic case can get :cyclops:
but keeping in mind the fact that this is priced as a popcorn bucket, you dont have to ask for any feedback at all, just try it for yourself
