cm 7.2 no gyroscope - HTC Wildfire S

running cm 7.2 wildfire s gms. and I have no gyroscope its this a know bug all else works well. what should I look for.

Phones don't have gyroscopes...do you mean accelerometer?
Sent from my HTC_A510c using Tapatalk

Some do others dont

most of the newer phones have Gyroscope. accelerometer has 2 axis and the gyroscope has 3. Its just a upgrade from accelerometer . They both do the same no matter what there called.
Looks like most of the roms dont support that because I have a tmobel gms phone. I will look around and see if I can figure it out. At the very least maybe it will help some one else

No - if BT is on there is no deep sleep in CM9
Issue is related to to fact that the code in CM cannot do it right now
compared to stock one which is properitary and cannot be used in CM
Blame HTC that they dont open their source for that part
Bluetooth and CM9
Had the same problem with my old HTC Wildfire S which was running CM7.2 and was fixed so the possibility exists to do it in CM9 too.
anyhow it would be interested to find out how it was fixed for the wildfire s

Know what you mean but this doesn't work in CM9 with the BT firmware

first thank you for your nice work and responsiveness
1. so i assume that jelly bean i.e. cynogen 10 suffers from the same problem ?.
2. are you going to address that issue ?.

Well -I need the sources and not a kernel image
Maybe you will able to get them from the one which published those binaries, since it should not be different. anyhow your work is terrific and as embedded programmer i understand your work.

I have already looked at some of those "solutions" but they cannot
be applied 1:1 to our case
The main problem is that we need to use brcm_patchram_plus to load the BT firmware
but the --enable-lpm flag which "should" allow the deep sleep is not
working with the bcm4330 firmware. I dont know the exact reason right now
and have never looked into more detail into it so far
Worth Figuring Out
Well it is worth figuring out since all of us which are using car kit via Bluetooth which is in many countries part of the laws it is a must have other wise the entire car kit is obsolete.
if you guys will have some time to address that issue it would be very appropriated by the One V users, since with your CM9 rom and Titanoim Kiss kernel the beast is flying.

Think I have enough feedback to make it official
So the fix is working and will be included in the next
KISS kernel release
BTW: Just to note it here again
This is only an issue for NON stock ROM users!
And also: This has nothing to do with this issue
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889711
I am still working on that.

EDIT: Buid with this fix released

Thanks to all the testers who helped
Hi,

CM9 Proximity sensor

Hey,
I am trying to get the proximity sensor working for CM9 as pressing a button after each call can be really annoying.
After doing some looking around I have found that the sensor is fully working on this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854682
This is based on android 4.0.4, same as CM9...before I try, does anyone think its possible to port the driver from this ROM to CM9 to get the sensor working?
Any help with this is much appreciated!
.::. Sonic5317 .::.
That rom is based on the official "unofficial" release by Sony..I don't know if it can be ported, but i'm just a noob..

I know other rom which has working proximity and it's not official based.

Maybe its worth trying to contact one of these devs about it since they probably know a heck of a lot more than us.

Undervolting/GPU Overclocking MSM7227.

Hey everyone,
I found this recently : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1485445&page=8
First post is a CM7 kernel for the ZTE Blade(Same MSM7227/ARMv6,but better screen than our Wildfire S.).
The poster mentions that it supports undervolting and GPU overclocking.......I'm going to give it a try later today, but I don't think it will work due to the large resolution difference.
(P.S. I did see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=710850 but it was last updated 2010,and the post I mentioned above was during the last days of Feb 2012).

Cool!!!
Good to hear this...Hope it can work.
anyone working on this?
Well....
Dude AFAIK Undervolting and Overclocking are Kernal related stuff! So the screen resolution doesn't come into picture at all!!
Anyways.. All the best!!!

I know But I'm not a developer(not ATM, anyway), and the only thing stopping this from running on our devices is the different screen resolution. Just need someone to port this to HVGA screens, and it should work.

HOV with Android 2.3.7?

Does anyone have heard about downgrading HOV to Android 2.3.7? Is that possible?
Sent from USG Ishimura using Connection Module
It's possible. But NO ONE will do it. It would mean reverse engineering almost all of the code. That's too much work. Why would you want to go back to gingerbread anyways? That's a major downgrade in software from 4.0. I see no point in it.

I know, but I'm a real player And with many of new games there are problems to play smoothly or even running them on our phones... and theres few older games I really want to play and they will runs smoothly, but they won't work on ICS and JB

I would also pay ,if someone release a gingerbread rom ,,because gingerbread roms have better battery life are smoother and faster

Very possible to do. There are some phones closely resembling hardware to ours, but some stuff would be tricky. Will someone actually work on it though is the question at hand. Everyone wants ICS+ these days.

GB is nowhere near as smooth as ics/jb. Even my old hero have a smoother scroll in ICS than in GB. That being said, it will be so hard to make wifi, bluetooth and camera working, not to mention that we will need a kernel done from scratch and i am 1000% sure that maxwen doesn't want to do another one for us! Just be happy that you at least have 4.1.2 and in the future we will have 4.2!

everyone could do it, you just need guidance, that's all. no one was raised knowing everything - you know what they say.
Porting GB, I was thinking this the other day. Gingerbread on this would most likely be a fun Rom, as in nothing really working. It would be an accomplishment though.

1) What is "KLP"?
2) I want GB because new games pisses me off, especially those from Gameloft... but there're some games form GL great times, e.g. Dungeon Hunter 2 or N.O.V.A. 2... last days I wanted to play Gangstar West Coast Hustle and Miami Vindication, but with no luck :/... I was thinking about Moder Combat 2 Black Pegasus, too, but I've found version working on ICS few months ago
But if no one likes to get back to old times sometimes, then we have no reasons to talk about that...

Gyroscope and Accelerometer

Hi guys I just want to ask are accelerometers and gyroscopes the same or are they two different things ? and if they are two different things does the one v have a gyroscope? thanks in advance.
accelerometer measures acceleration
gyro measures rate of rotation around a particular axis
But idono if one v has gyro
and the one v doesn't have gyroscope AFAIK
