Retail stores and cases - Acer Iconia Tab A100

Has anyone seen any stores in Canada anywhere that sells cases for the a100?

bought Acer brand folio, newer carbon fiber looking version at Bureau En Gros in Quebec, aka Staples rest of provinces. Yet to find the bumper locally, might have to order that online.
I did post photos in a Custom Case (blurex) thread in this section.

I sucked it up and ordered the bumper case. Expensive but fits well and looks good.
I hate leather folio cases, the bumper-type cases are so much better for holding one handed or playing games in landscape. The choices seem to be a cheapo $7 silicone case from Amazon which doesn't fit very well and the overpriced bumper from Acer. I had both, I'll go with the bumper...
It got here in 2 days.

I did the same thing, only i got the carbon fiber portfolio type one. Its pretty nice the only thing i noticed is that the cover wouldnt stay closed very well, i think its just a matter of it getting broke in some.

Can anyone post a link to where they got the ACER BRANDED bumper or leather case? I'm located in Canada so resources are hard to find.
Thanks in advance

I just used Acer's official store, http://store.acer.com. I got tired of trying to find a case around where I live with no luck.

How did you make a purchase? Every time I attempt to checkout it tells me the "ZIP Code" is incorrect. I live in Canada so I'm inserting a postal code.
Please tell me how you did this?

I bought TWO of 'em, recently, using this address:
http://us-store.acer.com/product.aspx?prodid=95
There was no problem shipping to Canada with either purchase

I attempted to use the link you provided and it still tells me that my "ZIP CODE" is invalid. I tried entering my POSTAL CODE in XXXXXX, XXX XXX and XXX-XXX formats without success.
I'm gonna try to call them to place the order!

So I called the Acer Store at 1.800.910.2237 and ordered the A100 bumper case.
Thanks for the help everyone.

Case-mate tough case, not out yet?

On their eu site it shows the case and I like what I see. Looked around and it appears that its coming soon. I was wondering if anyone knew about availability? I have an inquiry in and will report back if it hasn't already been dug up and reported here.
edit... I should have put a link here, my bad. Here is a link to the goods. ---> http://www.case-mate.eu.com/samsung-galaxy-s-2-tough-case-black.html
I don't have any news but thanks for sharing that link. I've been looking to see if Case-Mate was preparing any cases yet for the SG2.
Have you had one previously? I'm running a siedio case right now that I really like. It is a hard rubbery feeling outside that gives some grip but it doesn't collect lint or get stuck in pockets. This is what I'm looking for.
barely there case is out..2 sellers on ebay.uk and amazon uk too..
but i can not find the other hard case

Yes I did. I liked it, nice looking, not too thick and had a nice solid feel to it when you grasped the phone. It slide in and out pretty easily and didn't pick up stuff from my pockets.
Thanks

I'm going to try out the Barely There case for now... I've had those before too. Not nearly as protective but I'd rather try one of these out than some of the odd stuff we are seeing so far.
I ordered some gel cases from Deal Extreme that still haven't shown up yet - a little worried using my SGS II without a case (it's a bit slippery). I like the look of the Case-Mate barely there or Safe Skin - will pick one up in London week after next (I'm sure CPWH will have them...)
Case-mate has responded to my email this morning. They expect to have them available to the public in two weeks.
Hi,
I always use the case-mate tough case on a of my phones, andhave one on pre order from mobile den, cpwh will bedding then for around £25 and the barely there will be much cheaper but to me does not provide grip or good protection.

I purchased this http://www.case-mate.eu.com/samsung-galaxy-s-2-gelli-case-clear.html and the screen protector that shipped with it is totally the wrong size and has no hole for the home button. it is too short and too narrow almost a galaxy s screen protector with no hole for the home button. I checked 3 different carphone warehouse and they are all the same. I emailed case mate and was told they knew the screen protector didn't fit but just use it anyway.
Really disappointed in the company. No reason at all this should be sold like this. The case is very nice however but at £13 its not cheap if you have no screen protector
Dont know if this will be the same just to let you know
I dont use screen protectors, hate em. Nevertheless I don't like the sound of an outfit shipping a piece that to my mind would be useless and not what was represented. What is your feelings on the fit of the case itself in regards to the cut outs and so on? Overall quality? Value?
This is now available on amazon uk, I have one on the way so I will post up with my impressions after I have it in hand.

[Q] looking for a white case with a kickstand?

is there a white case w/ kickstand ? or just a white case i want a nice one i had this case i bought for 30$ in sprint store but the kick stand broke..:
http://www.amazon.com/Impact-Resist...DYJM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1329515921&sr=8-5
thanks for the help
Just letting you know if you bought from a corporate sprint store it has a one year warranty for replacement for any and all damage. Also I have been looking for a white one with a kickstand as well and have not been able to find one

Casemate POPin wihte...google it.
1. Sorry to hear about your broken case.
2. Rule of thumb: never, ever buy accessories in-store. The markup is ridiculously high. You're just flushing money down the toilet. See the links I've posted below, they charge a whole lot less for cases made essentially by the same people (China), and they're Still making good profit. Of course, if the item is a brand name item like for example Seidio, Case-Mate, Zagg, etc., you'll still get a better price online, just not as steep a discount as comparable items. Your best bets:
Generic, white on white
Generic, white on black
Generic, white on black (different seller)
Like the one Sprint offers, but the white version
Case-Mate Pop! Case
Case-Mate Pop! Case on Amazon
If you plan on buying one of the "Generic" ones above (which also come in other colors), be sure to do the modifications to the case as highlighted on Youtube by nerys71. And if I'm not mistaken, he's also a user on here in the forum. Shout-out to you, bud.

Here is a whole list of those hybrid case with kick stand
thanks every1 much appreciated
and is the white/white heavy duty really fat?
FWIW I'm very happy with my Pop! Case-mate from Amazon

Does the case pop by chance fit the seidio active holster? Anyone know? Thank you in advance!

I personally rock this one from them with my white E4GT.

I've seen several places online that sell them(this seller had the best price), now they're nowhere to be found. Your best bet currently is to contact the eBay seller and ask if they'll be getting more of that case any time soon. Keep looking on eBay, Amazon, and Google, it might pop-up somewhere if a seller gets a shipment of them.
I'm not much of a fan of that case. When I first got my E4GT, I remember buying the black version of it. It seemed to be more of a tray that your phone popped into than a case. The coverage around the phone wasn't good, especially at the top and bottom of the phone. And the kickstand was extremely hard to open (on the one I got at least) and seemed cheap and couldn't stand the phone up-right. But hey, whatever floats your boat. To each their own.

Leather case for galaxy S3

i ordered one of these , as keeping the case away from your skin by a few millimeters cuts down the emissions by heaps
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/D2-EASEC...Accessories&hash=item5ae746eee8#ht_3358wt_905
I didn't get my case, yet but I have search results based on Google.
http://www.amazon.com/iTALKonline-PREMIUM-LEATHER-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00817VYRW
https://www.proporta.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s3-leather-case-with-aluminium-lining
http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/sa...g-galaxy-s3-crumena-leather-pouch-series.html
They're expensive, but Vaja has one small leather case out already, and I'm sure they'll design more with the relative similarity between carrier devices, and the number of buyers across the world.
The first one they've come up with is $70, which sounds really high, but I can tell you from experience that these things are inSANEly well-made. They're probably hand-stitched by one 85 year-old lady in Venezuela, but their cases are awesome.
Cheaper one
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Leather-Poc...416229?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item257045db25
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEATHER-P...lePhonesCasesPouches&var=&hash=item27c70a1b4d
I can't post URLs yet, but I got a leather carrying case on Amazon for about $6.
I got this one. I love it because vertical position is a must and also the clip can rotate. It does leave some black marks on the back of the phone but nothing is perfect
The $5 & $10 cases on ebay /amazon are not real leather.
I am also interested in some real leather options. A search showed "hoco" as an option, they look pretty slim too.

I've had an Easecase (a different model from the one the OP ordered - I think mine is a B1) for my HD2, S2 and now S3. They're really well made, fit perfectly and you get a choice of leather, lining colour, closure system etc, I do look at other ones available but in the end I always end up getting their stuff

Seconded! I don't have one for my S3 (yet), but I've been considering the Grip or the Pouch they have on their site.
I've bought their cases for past phones and not only do they look great, but they're very durable. The price-point is a little painful, but well-worth it in my book.
Might as well ask this here. But do any of you guys (yea guys on this one) carry around a wallet case? I was gonna get a SGP Valentinus black for my SGS3 but I got to thinking, maybe it seems a little feminine. I wanted one cuz it would mean for me to not carry a wallet around. I wanted either the Valentinus or the Argos. What you guys think

Otterbox commuter Where's Your's made?

My first one was "assembled in USA"
Second one was "assembled in China"
The former fit perfectly the latter did not, it was actually quite hard to put on and did not seem to have the fit and finish / overall quality of the original USA made case!
Anyone else have similar observation?
I just picked up a USA made Defender and it fits very well, overall nice rugged case!

It's a Lottery but you can see if you're a "winner" before playing.
Just look at the bottom of the retail package. It will be printed on where the product was assembled.
It's also stamped on the back inner shell inside.

The first sample was purchased at a corporate Sprint store in May. The second (China made) was also purchased at a corporate Sprint store but in a different location.
The Defender I just picked up (USA) was from a local Best Buy store. I noticed it's on bestbuy.com for $29.99 but is $49.99 in the store. Brought this to CSR attention and they immediately adjusted the price. $29.99 is a pretty good price for a Defender!

I know this a bump to an old thread, but I finally got around to picking up an Otterbox Commuter that is 'Assembled in USA'. I can say that it is definitely a better quality build than my Chinese-made Commuter. So to anyone that is looking to buy an Otterbox, I'd recommend looking on the bottom of the packaging and making sure that it says 'Assembled in USA'.

That is a good price it's just that BB only carries the basic black colors.
I have an otter box commuter that I stopped using because the fitment was horrible. I decided to make a warranty claim through otter box and within 30 minutes I had an approval and a case being shipped out Monday.
My commuter was made in the US but it was subpar in terms of quality. I also made the request for the new case to be black, if it were at all possible, and sure enough they sent me an updated confirmation with a black one as opposed to the glacier color I originally had, as it looked utterly disgusting after a months use.
I must say, I was very upset with otter box for the crap quality, but they have definitely reinstated my trust by making this so seamless.
And to think, I bought the case for $20 from a friend who bought it in error for his One X.
I have a commuter in the punked color, it is USA made, but I have always had a beef with the fit of the hard plastic outer particularly the diagonal portion to the right of the camera, it had never laid flat against the rubber. Some else having this same issue?

The replacement car otter box sent me was the same. it ended up requiringa bit of playing with but it ended up clicking in. the fitments isg tight so just play with it.
FYI, the old one was made in the USA and had a very loose fitment.the new one is made in China and is clearly different and fits almost too tight... But it fits. My qualm with it is the silicone is so tight it makes the one look like a gs3 in shape. I loved the otter box for my iPhone 5 but it seems like the HTC one model doesn't share the same fit and finish.

Before the covers were much more quality, today don't fit right on the phone.
With the usage time it gets even more worse.
Now try to write a review on their site. Appears your review? Of course that not. They only allow reviews to praise, pathetic and Sad

EXACT same issue, with the exact same case. I just got mine from Amazon yesterday (not a fulfillment, just shipped, and sold from Amazon) and I requested a refund. There was no way I could get it to fit, even without the phone in the case. I wanted a change in color from the White/Grey so I knew how it was supposed to fit.

I'm with you. I'm surprised there aren't the usual $5 TPU cases on eBay even that I always find when a new device comes out. I always tend to use something like that for the 1st few weeks/months until better options come out. But I cannot find anything worth buying that available locally or online and actually in stock and shipping now.
The ONLY option I've found is the official Asus travel case which everyone seems to say isn't worth the money at all. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1389517282&pf_rd_i=507846

So, I ordered the SUPCASE Folio case yesterday, I didn't notice that it says "Usually ships within 4 to 5 days." Expected ship date isn't until Monday, the day after she leaves and I can't easily cancel the order, so I sent them an email saying that unless they can ship it ASAP, I want the order canceled. I already have a Poetic case ($3.95, free shipping) ordered that's not shipping until the 9th, I wouldn't have ordered a second case unless I needed it sooner, so I put in an order for the i-Blason case. None of the cases are Prime eligible, so hopefully I can get that shipped before Saturday... and hopefully I don't end up with three cases.
I think it's going to be hard to find any good cases shipping now. I'm guessing these third party manufacturers did not get any early access to the device, so they're designing and mass manufacturing the cases as we speak. If anything I'd be weary of buying any case that actually is shipping now as it's probably a rush job and won't fit the device perfect. Just my 2 cents.

These? http://www.fommy.com/Tablet/Google-tab-Google-New-Nexus-7-c-Covers-And-Cases.htm
None of them ship till 8/21. Were there some other cases for the new Nexus 7 that you found on there that I'm missing? This thread is for cases that are shipping right now.
Anyone found a case that doesn't destroy the n7? I keep reading nightmare reviews ...

Ah, thought I might of missed something that was shipping.
No worries.
If anyone else is interested, I just ordered this for under $6 shipped with Amazon Prime to hold me over for awhile until other options surface.

Not perfect but I mostly want something to protect my Nexus 7 while in transport in my laptop bag to and from work.
Try FiveBelow, Big Lots, & Dollartree
If anyone wants a little protection before their real cases get shipped... try FiveBelow, Big Lots, & Dollartree.
I first got me a 7" tablet sleeve from Dollartree but went into 5Below yesterdya and I got a generic 7" folio that fits the new nexus pretty good for $5.
I also saw some cheap tablet sleeves/cases at BigLots.
It will do the trick until my Moko and TPU hardshell case get here.
