Ok i successfully generated a new md5 file and i installed it without any problem now, but i have a r800i and no phone is available for me with this rom.
And sadly it not solve my ftf installing problems at all, and can't update with pc companion for the stock version.

You getting Md5 Mismatch because the folder is the wrong one.
When you extracted it the files are not in the correct place
go into the folder and you will see another folder called Cola_1.0.1
I fixed that in the next version that Im uploading tonight

Hi All,
Some time ago I rooted my HOX with coreDroid . To be honest, I don't really remember how I did that either, only that I followed a guide on this forum.
As it happens, the screen has been damaged severely and it so happens that they agree to repair it under warranty. The problem I'm facing now is that it seems to be impossible to return to a stock rom. Just to clear things up; I did not make a nandroid backup of any kind.
Right now im following the steps as described in > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859714 . I'm using
RUU_ENDEAVOR R_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_27_4900_signed (or any other older than my current hboot for that matter).
The problem arrises when I run the RUU file; Error [120]: LOW MAIN BATTERY POWER, while I'm running 100% battery power . I have tried using different OS's (Xp, win7, vista on 32 and 64bit) but it doesn't help me much. Sometimes i get a different error; Error [170] Connection error.
Does anyone of you have any idea how to fix this problem? Right now I am unable to revert to stock rom which makes my phone unusable
Thanks in advance (ALOT)
Regards,
Wisse
Unlock it again and flash clockwork recovery. Then recharge the phone and reset the battery stats in cwm. Lock, flash the stock recovery and try to run th RUU
Nandroid
hey
frankly I Think RUU is a Big Pain........ I would Suggest Rooting back your phone going into CWM and Restoring a Stock Nandroid Back Up.

After that he can flash the stock recovery easily ... Take a stock 2.17 recovery and flash it. Not too difficult either !

Which ftf file are you using?
.62 should work, instead .42 doesn't on the last flashtool version (i read flashtool 0.6 recognizes .42 ftf but I never checked).
Thanks
I reinstalled flashtool, and also used the version 0.6, nothing solved my problem. May be with the next update of flashtool
Thanks again and solve it
Installed version 0.9 of flashtool and this recognizes ftf 42, not the other ones but something is something. Thanks by your answers.

Rename the file , and change the format ftf to zip , and open it , if there is a password u have to remove the password of the zip file , then rename it to ftf , then flash tool should recognize the file

Thank you.
hello i have the problem too, linux and windows
when tft is not seen ,i recommend to extract tft content, and create new one using Tool -> Bundles -> Create.
If is file corrupted, you will see it during extraction process.
Here, aside from Flashtool not detecting FTF inside "firmwares", It also has no "Devices" info to choose from, so "Bundle" can't be completed as well... in other words, stuck at unable to flash firmware. I will try with an older Flashtool version later, cause I'm struggling with the very latest one...

Wait. I kinda like your proposed workaround... though I haven't tried yet. How does this password looks like?

To whoever finds this thread in search of an answer, like I did, here's the solution that helped me:
Go to C:/Users/username/.flashtool/devices, delete all the files there and clone https://github.com/Androxyde/devices manually (I guess you can delete everything except .git folder, download repo as zip and extract it there).
Somehow flashtool doesn't clone it fully, and some devices folders end up not having .properties file.
I had a backup of stock before root but when i tried to back up to it today it gave me a md5 mismatch so i couldnt back up to it. From what I seen in beaups thread that I need to be on a stock rom and stock kernal for his s-off method to work. Is there a stock rom that I could flash to use the s-off method?
I'd like this answered as well. I think andy's stock rom near the bottom of the page works, but I haven't had a confirmation yet. Also wondering if odex versus deodexed versions matter.
Same boat im in just waiting for somebody to say which one we can use when we are already rooted and unlocked. I dont know how my md5's mismatched on my stock before root backup but I can't go back to it so Im kinda stuck here until we get a answer.

Just tried v1.0a..... No dice.
I'd test 1.1 but for some reason it won't let me copy the zip over to my phone... Keeps saying the device has stopped working or has been disconnected. Tried many different USB ports.... Going to have to bluetooth it which is going to take even more time...

SUPER MEGA ULTIMATE DISCLAIMER: IIRC = IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THIS DOESN'T WORK/SCREWS UP YOUR DEVICE/BRICKS/ETC. YOU ARE WARNED. THIS WORKED FOR ME IN THE PAST WITH MY GALAXY NEXUS BACKUPS USING CWMTOUCH 6.0.3.6 AND 6.0.4.3.

I HAVE NEVER USED TWRP FOR BACKUPS. IT IS A MERE SUGGESTION THAT THIS METHOD WILL WORK WITH SIMILAR RESULTS. I HAVE NEVER BROWSED A BACKUP FOR TWRP. ANY ATTEMPT YOU MAKE USING A TWRP BACKUP IS OF YOUR OWN COGNIZANCE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

YOU ARE WARNED.
IIRC: If you have an md5 mismatch while trying to restore in a recovery, try this process:
IF YOU HAVE A BACKUP I HIGHLY SUGGEST STORING THE BACKUP FILE ON YOUR DESKTOP JUST IN CASE!!!!
Boot into whatever ROM you're on ATM.
Browse to your ClockworkMod (or TWRP backup must have an accessible folder for it's backups) using a Root file explorer, which I happen to use "Root Explorer" and open the backup file you just made.
Inside of that will be a nandroid.md5.
Delete that file and reboot into recovery, and try restoring again.
