Hey everyone,
I have the push power button to end calls option enabled, but I have noticed bug with it.
When using the phone on spearkerphone, the screen still times out and turns black. Touching the screen or pushing the volume rockers does not wake the screen back up. So basically there is no way to add a call, bring up the dialer pad, etc. Pushing the power button obviously ends the call.
The way it should be designed: pushing the power button ends the call ONLY when the screen is up to your face (proximity sensor activated) or the screen is on.

Sometimes I am using the (front) speaker phone or the caller's voice is loud. In both cases I end up holding the phone away from my ear and the backlighting will not go off. Is there a way to force the backlight off during a call?
the proximity sensor isnt that impressive for me. it doesnt work on when its over your hair. i have a feeling it would be more impressive if i was bald.
I tried pushing the power button during a test call and it seemed to work to turn off the screen but not disconnect the call. Maybe that is all there is to it.

I've set my phone screen to not lock when I turn the screen off using the power button. But I'm finding that pressing the volume, menu, home or any button is then turning the screen back on again, which is great except my screen timeout is set to 30 mins, and my battery gets eaten when im hitting a button by mistake in my pocket.
Is there a way of locking all buttons except the power button to turn the screen on and off? Im used to using my phone this wy in WM, and hopefully I can mimic this use with Android too.
Thank in advance
Just wondering if there is a way (or an app) that enables the screen to remain off until the power button is pressed when there is an incoming call? At present I'm using Dialer1 and I often find I've missed a call and the screen has remained on since the time of the call. Obviously this chews through the battery so I'm keen to find some way of either making the screen switch off post-missed call, or require that the power button be pressed to switch the screen on when a call comes in...any help most apreciated!!
Hello all~~
with the common problem when you over clock your phone sometimes your phone doesn't wake properly, usually it only happens once or twice out of 50 wakes, but once in a while it does it when i get a call
so the problem is when i get a call, and the screen doesn't wake i can't answer the call so i have to hit the power button, which will end the call, so is there anyway where i can use the trackpad to answer call or disable function of the power key to reject calls?
Thanks~
Hey.... what about using the lockscreen replacement WidgetLocker? It has an option where you can wake the phone using the trackpad. Just a thought...
well i have track-pad wake but if the phone is wake improperly i have to turn the phone off which requires me to press the power button first =/
Oh, I see. I misunderstood. What a pain. Well, good luck.
Hi Guys,
Having this weird issue where after updating to MIUI 12.5 version.
During a call on the speakerphone, the display will dim, but won't go off completely. If I manually put off the display pressing the power button, the screen still refuses to go off & instantly comes on.
However, if I go out or minimise the CALL app (when the call is on) and then press the power button, the display goes off completely.
Any help here guys
