how to delete all contact - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

hi i have done an error i have restore from idraive and google all contact.
so now i have many double contact.
how i can delete all contact and resinvronize it only from googòe?
tks

Just delete all your contacts on the phone and only use your google account to resync them. If your asking how to delete them, well wipe data/factory reset will do the trick,, but have everything backed up beforehand.

Is there anyway to delet the main gmail related to apps?

I was setting up my wifes phone and I signed my email up first to get some tools to tweak her phone. Well now her phone is setup and her email is setup. I went to sync options to delet my email from there and its saying I need to restart the phone, some applications need that email to work? Is there a work around for this so I can remove that account.
I stoped syncing for that account for now, but now she cant sync here google callander instead it will only allow the option to sync mine. I dont want her events showing up on my phone and I am sure she dont want mine showing up on her phone lol. Basicly I am the main email on her phone and I dont want it that way. Any ideas would be great thanks.
Thanks, Thomas
I believe the only way to delete it without resetting is to delete the /data/system/accounts.db
Keep in mind this will delete all the accounts from accounts & sync, and always nandroid backup first.

If I do this will I need to reinstall that file again? Or will I just simply need to re assign a new email account?
Thanks, Thomas

Wiping data and cache will bring the phone back to the first time after you installed the last rom. Like the first time you booted it.
Male sure to sign her up for a Gmail account.

Sorry just checked this post, no you will not have to reinstall. You just have to setup the accounts again.

Thank you! I was just about to delet this from my favorits and move on lol.

how can I remove gmail?

rooted with CM6.1
how can I remove initial google account? I have a problem with google checkout on this initial account and need to remove it.
I tried remove the cache and that didnt work nor did it trigger a notification.
Any suggestions?
How can I remove all google apps?
If you're simply trying to change the Google account the phone uses, go to Settings > Accounts and Sync, and then add your new/other Google account and remove the problematic one.
Thats does not work.
It says the "problematic" account can not be removed because its used by other applications.
And this is AFTER you added the second account? You may have to do an entire wipe and then sign in with the new account on first boot.

I think the answer to my own question is yes;therefore, should I just follow these instructions?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=747381
im good, disregard.
I must have missed the part where you were rooted, but yes, I always suggest a wipe from recovery. When re-flashing, dont forget to install the latest gapps.
Is a rom install needed? Can't he just reset data via factory reset?
It's only his account that need's changing.

[Q] Whatsapp problem

Hi, I use whatsapp for many months but there are 4 days that I have a problem, I don't receive the notifications and If I open the app and click in a chat or I scroll the whatsapp's contacts it crashes! I can just open the app and see the last message from any contacts but If I click it crashes!
I deleted and reinstalled it but nothing is changed!
Who can help me?
Thanks!
Go into the recovery (if you have a custom one) and wipe cache and dalvik cache, fix permissions and reboot.
Check if it helps

I have the last stock rom with JB.
It's possible that I have many whatsapp's photos? Because I remember that I had problem to download photos 1 months ago, then I deleted many photos and then I could download other photos!

I had this sort of problem a while back but it sorted itself out. Seemed a server problem at WA .... can't help you any further i guess

[SOLVED]Lost contacts after flashing LiquidSmooth

Now I already know what I did wrong. I'll explain what happened.
I was stock rooted before and flashed LiquidSmooth RC2 4.2.2 (first ROM I ever flashed, go figure). I thought I had backed up all my data. I synced Titanium to dropbox, moved my backup to my external SD, kept a copy on my computer, and created a nandroid through TWRP as well. Now I thought I had done my research, newbie little me went and backed up through Titanium but ONLY apps and data, I didn't know I had to also back up my contacts/sms/mms through the XML otherwise they wouldn't transfer. I did a little more research and found I can restore contacts through a nandroid backup by restoring Contacts Storage, well I gave a go at that and I got an error that said "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped working" over and over again so to fix that problem I cleared the data for that app and it stopped. However, my problem still remains that I do not have my contacts. I'm actually really mad because I was convinced I did my research and backed up my phone to a comfortable point to flash for my very first time, at least I didn't brick my phone!
MAIN QUESTION: How do I retrieve my contacts with only a nandroid back up and preferably not using the nandroid to revert to stock and then reflashing LiquidSmooth? I also have my titanium backup files.
Edit: I do know how to send a logcat and use ADB(minimally) if that helps. Also, oddly enough I retrieved my call log and my sms/mms but the only thing eluding me is my contacts which is what I want more than both of those combined
Re: Lost contacts after flashing LiquidSmooth
In the time you wrote this and have been waiting, you couldve made a nandroid of Liquidsmooth, restored your stock backup, exported the CSV of your contacts, and finally restored to LiquidSmooth and imported your contacts CSV
To avoid stuff like this, I created one google account exclusively for my contacts, separate from my personal and work emails. This way you only sync contacts between your phone and that one and all the junk stays somewhat organized haha

^^^ That, and only that.
Also. You can use My Backup root to backup mms/sms/contacts/call log. That's what I do.

Awesome thanks so much! One more question, I found an app called super backup does that work just as well or should I use my backup root? Can't I also just restore to stock rooted and use titanium to get the XML then restore back?

Uhhh....I dont use either, but i would advise you to use My Backup root as you know thats its worked for someone else with this same device
EDIT: Just saw your edit, and I guess you could, but would you be able to restore that with TB when you're back on LS? I ask because I dont use TB very much, and not for my contacts at all. But if you can, then go for it! You just wouldnt be able to restore it with any other app because its most likely, even though it would still be an XML, stored in a different order or in a different way that is specific to how TB parses it

Question Any way to restore backup from google drive after an update?

Hey, is there a way to restore my messages from google drive?
I uploaded backup, made an update and I can't restore it becouse "device is not active" -_-.
The only thing that is different is software version.

Yes, it is possible to restore your messages from Google Drive if you have previously backed them up. If you're receiving a message saying that your device is not active, here are a few things you can try:
1. Make sure your phone is properly connected to the internet
2. Try logging out of your Google account and logging back in
3. Check if you are using the same Google account that you backed up your messages with
4. Try restarting your phone and then attempting to restore your messages
5. Check if you have given necessary permissions to the app to access your Google Drive backup
If none of the above works and you are still unable to restore your messages from Google Drive, try contacting Google support for further assistance.

The only way is to factory reset phone and go through setup again. Been there too many times.... Once you are finally rooted, I would use SwiftBackup app to backup and restore apps, app data, sms and call data
